33. To: No. 30
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.26.10)
Stuff it. Is your idea of a healthy mentality someone who actively wishes that Nasrallah -- an unrepentant terrorist monster -- were their leader? Have you a clue as to how soaked in the blood of innocent Jews he is? Do you care? i do. If that is your idea of a healthy mentality, then you are sicker and more evil than you probably realize.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.26.10)
The Palestinians have on three separate and very distinct occasions rejected the opportunity for a two-state solution. In fact, they walked away from a deal which would have given them 90% of the West Bank and East Jerusalem as a capital. They have also engaged in sixty-two years of terror. Each and every one of the thirty-odd Palestinian organizations -- each purporting to be the true and sole representative of the Palestinian people -- have at the core of their respective charters the destruction of the State of Israel and the extermination and/or expulsion of the Jewish people. For better than sixty-two years, each and every one of those self-same organizations has consistently refused to recognize the right of the State of Israel to exist. Is that your idea of what consitutes a "yes" to peaceful co-existence? It isn't mine. And since Israel won all the wars, Israel gets to call all the shots. Deal with it as best you can.
35. Got the courage for nothing!!!
Ben ,   London, UK   (05.26.10)
He has the courage to sign a permanent agreement with Israel to end the conflict "once and for all." However, the Palestinian president said he would have to hold a referendum before such an agreement could be approved. ie: If referendum answer is yes to peace, then I got the courage. And if the answer is no, then I don't have the courage. What a joke. Palestinians are where they are because of their past and present incapable leaders. And btw - Arafat always looked for an intifada. There are countless images of him pushing his people to arm struggle. He was a thug or a don to be more polite until his death. Palestinians will never get a better life because don't believe that even if Israel would (in your wildest most extreme dreams) disappear, these leaders would treat their people differently than cattle.
36. Abbas: 'Israel not being serious'
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (05.26.10)
Not being serious is a serious crime, especially when dealing with very serious people, like the palestinians, who are very serious and very honest.
37. ***Sarah***,the secrets of the talk backs
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.26.10)
Gypsy trailer parkish...I was equally amazed as You, as I read this b.s...and somewhat relieved, that You as a native speaker could it not decode also...
38. A history full of mistakes
Daniel ,   USA   (05.26.10)
Nothing has improved with Abbas, and this is why he has no respect, especially from his own people. He continues to outdo himself with his never-ending bending-over backwards. He has become so flexible his mouth finally met his private area.
39. The whole palestinian lie was a mistake!
Johnny ,   Stockholm Sweden   (05.26.10)
40. Make their minds up....
Doug ,   Gwent, UK   (05.26.10)
Iran has said that Israel could be destroyed in a week now 'Mr. Arafat in a suit' says peace could be obtained in a week. Wish they'd make their minds up.... As John Wayne used to say - "...me thinks they speak with forked tongue...."
41. #33 Sarah
leonard ,   LA usa   (05.27.10)
You forgot to mention how many Palistinians died because of thier crazy war loving leaders create. Branwash their children to kill and hate. Stupid people.
42. Abbas: "I'm ready to sign...to end this once and for all"
William ,   Israel   (05.27.10)
Actually, no you're not. Before you even began negotiations with Israel, you asked for the approval of the Arab League. That in itself indicates that you allow yourself to be hijacked by foreign elements and agendas. As long as you do not have a consensus, your attempts will be hijacked, just as Hamas hijacked the Oslo Accords signed by Arafat, despite the fact that Arafat's stated goal was still the destruction of Israel. Though you are correct. Arafat was a pragmatist. He saw value in signing the Oslo Accords, under the guise of peace, as a way of getting closer to his true intentions, destroying Israel. My guess is your goals are not much different.
43. #5 - Nasrallah turned his weapons on own people
William ,   Israel   (05.27.10)
Don't you already have leaders like this, Salma?
44. #30 - Arabs worship Samir Kuntar
William ,   Israel   (05.27.10)
and he smashed a little girls head with the butt of a rifle, with no remorse to this day. I believe we know who wins the "sick mentality" contest, and many Western citizens unfortunately have witnessed their (Arab) "sick mentality" themselves. Too bad you find solace in it.
45. #31 - He didn't say "yes"
William ,   Israel   (05.27.10)
What he said was "if I get all I want, then I'd be inclined to end the conflict" but added "a referendum would be required" meaning any portion of violent terrorists among them....and they are many, could derail the entire thing. And isn't that the very essence of what happened in 2000 peace negotiations and the failed 2nd Intifada?
46. right on Sarah
Lisa   (05.28.10)
for once I agree with you 100%- IF Palestinians and their illustrious leaders were serious- the whole conflict would be history- but they are not. They wallow in self pity, blaming everybody for their misery, accepting handouts, groveling etc.. IF the conflict was ended they would have to show their real faces, do some real work, but that is not as exotic as being terrorists? Threatening innocent women and children is more fun-
