faik its only the catholic church, which has their contributions cashed in by the state. the money is withhold together with the taxes on the paycheck - in case you are a member of the roman cahtolic church (what is marked on your tax card). this has always been critically discussed, and might end soon.

when youth becomes violent, it mostly results from violence they have experienced themselves previously... usually, that happened at their homes... that a mother can be or become violent for some reason (which could be stress at work), is possible. but the same is true for fathers. the statement, that working mothers cause violence in their kids is wrong. its their social environment what influences, mother/father, whether working or not... if a mother/father cant deal with stress, and passes it onto those depending on them, they shouldnt be given that "power" about people...

Men are borne with this tend of blaming women. When Hava offered apple to Adam, he ate it without using his own brain. When god asked he said it's her, she advised me to eat (I am innocent-she is the one to blame). So, inshort it's going on since the creation of the first man- not to take any responsibility and blame women and even the god buyed it.

As an educated, post-graduate degree holding woman and more importantly a mother, I could not agree more. We give birth and our instinct is to stay with them and protect them yet, because of societal pressures we ignore our instincts, entrust our children to strangers and then come up with all sorts of BS to calm our guilty conscience and support our decisions. Giving birth means becoming a MOTHER, not a (whatever your profession is). We are in serious trouble, future generations are in serious trouble...

somehow should get a salary . Maybe half of what their husband make ?.Yes mothers need to be valued , but unfortunately without money , they get no respect .

What is more important? Respect from the Lord or respect from people who do not treasure what the Lord does. I have known many women who earned an income and stayed home with their children. Some took in other children to babysit. Others did embroidery, stitching while at home with the children. Proverbs chapter 31 gives some occupations godly women can pursue that bring in an income IF they are able to manage their households first and foremost. I have known women physicians and pharmacists who gave up their careers to stay home and be with their children full time, going back to work only if that was necessary. My sister Martha loved being a stay at home mother, but when her husband got sick she had to work as a pharmacist she had a degree in to support the family. It was heartbreaking for her, but she did what had to be done. She felt she had more respect from herself and her children when she was a stay at home mother. But cruel fate took her husband's health and he became a house husband. It is easy to value yourself as money. If you make money you have value and if you don't make money you don't have value. But that is not how the Lord sees women. Better is a dinner of herbs where love is than a stalled ox and hatred therewith Solomon said. Where love is. Love. What is love? The Bible says God is love. If God is in your home then staying home is an honored place to be with your children. So many children are out of control from a lot of factors. But I have seen children who were happy and pleasant and not tyrants and they were sweet as pie because God was in the home. A girlfriend who teaches has a jobshare so she can be home every other week, but she stayed home with her children full time until they were in school. Her husband wanted Karen to work from the time of their birth and she said she would go back to work before they were in school if they divorced because that was the only way she would let another person take care of her babies. Her husband backed off after Karen asked his mother to crack down on him for expecting too much of her. She prays for her twins to have a godly wife and husband someday, so that with many years of petitioning the Lord about that He is sure to honor such an intense hope for her family: their future happiness and holiness as well as present.

Most women should chose what is the most important and then focus on that and do it really well.

Arise women!. Rebbe Lior has decreed ( oops, I almost said allah) that being a women, a housewife is a 24 hr. job. Rebbe Ilon Moreh " being a community secretary is inappropriate for a women, because she did not get the jog from god ". i have the feeling that sooner rather than later, we will achieve peace in the Mideast..The differences, the gap between Jews and Arabs are being narrowed almost daily, dramatically. --- All is needed in order to close the circle, is for haredim , as a goodwill gesture, to take like their " brothers ", 3 - 4 or more wifes. Et voila. Mosque, Synagogue, one big happy family.

I happen to know Rabbi Lior and his personal story. He and his two brothers were child survivors of the Holocaust who were found and brought to Israel after WW2 with a group of other Jewish orphans. Both his parents died in the Holocaust. So, he lost his mother at a young age and that is why he feels it so important for a mother to be in the house for her children. He didn't have that.

its time rabbis do what is in the best interest of the jewish people and adapt to modern society while keeping certain traditions alive. just as we dont do animal sacrifices anymore, we should no longer have rabbis imposing middle age beliefs on the acceptable oppression of women whether it be financial oppression or being subordinate to their husbands. in america jewish men have a repution of being good to their women, this is the modern and real ancient jew. rabbis are at times posioning jewish values. personally, my grandmother who died in lodz ghetto had a career as a professor of biblical studies, and this was back then, and my family are a priestly family that follows the commandments. the only way for the jewish people to go is to accept modern values while at the same time keeping a jewish identity by keeping most traditions. leave the oppression of women to the muslim nations. our PR is bad enough as it is. the rabbis need to get with the program, the same rabbis that follow the old traditions blindly without opening their eyes to the real world, the same ones as during the time of the holocaust.
