you just destroy the country that fires them. Unproportional and brutal warfare, where their civilians are killed too at 1000:1. Let them lynch their leaders.

This is a mighty message to those who doubts that Israel is in the Middle East to stay for ever. Now that Islamists know this fact, they will however not give up, but quite the contrary they will escalate the diplomatic and economical war against the State of Israel. This includes the already escalating Salam Fayyad's economical Intifada. For sure the Islamists will keep on hoping that they will get moral and material support from morally corrupt liberal societies of the West. At the end however, Israel will prevail against its enemies and the world will be stunned at the pace with which Israel will dominate high end technological breakthroughs. Nobody can possibly achieve these things if he had no peace and love in his heart, and most people know that Jews have love and peace in their souls, unless you're Islamists or a Bolshevik liberal.

Mark ,   Netherlands   (05.27.10)
Missile interceptor has ever been as successful as they talk about it. Take the American Patriot system as an example. Either way, these systems will be futile against a whole number of missiles coming forward. So lets say if there are a 100 missiles launched simotaniously towards a target, these interceptors at best can take out half of them, while you still have another 50 remaining.
9. #8 ..as you say...you are "no military expert"
Scott   (05.27.10)
Problems of the past are just that... everything will be overcome and if if "problems" persist there will be enough to stop most. ...If anything does get through to hit Israel ...I dont like the enemy's chances.
10. #8 - wrongo!
John ,   Western Negev, Israe   (05.27.10)
Actually both the American and Israeli systems have been live tested and work. The Patriot was designed to use against aircraft, and software mods made it, in theory, capable of intercepting Scuds. That didn't work so well - true, but that was the prior generation and not designed from the beginning for this task. Futile? stopping 50 missles from landing in civilian population centers? You wouldn't think that if you lived here. Each one shot down is lives saved.
11. This is REAL technology. ..weasly iran...eat ya heart out

12. ...Where is Mahmood? We need his input! LOL!!!
Scott   (05.27.10)
Wow...even if this thing is only a fraction of its announced capacity... it will be devastating. ANY MORON enemy will see how a REAL military works.. cant wait for them to try it on.
13. #6 I agree with you... All Jews I know want PEACE
Scott   (05.27.10)
...but they know how to fight too...but often well after 'disproportionate' action is required.
14. Saturation attack
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (05.27.10)
DEBKAfile reports that there are thousands(!) of ballistic missiles pointing at Irael. If Iran and its aides shoot them simultaneously at Israel, it is not possible to intercept all of them (or even a large part of them). As sad as it is, Israel has to take the first blow and then nuke the hell out of them.

Neighbors, any of them, the radiation would spread into israel killing thousands(if not millions). Although I really urge you to do so.

I know that you would prefer the Jews to go voluntarily into the sea. But just as Mr. A. H. from Braunau am Inn did not succeed, the Mullahs in Qom won't succeed either. And, by the way, Chernobyl shows us that the effects of radioactive fallout are usually overestimated.
17. And what if they use cruise missiles? Or ...
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (05.27.10)
Iran's growing arsenal reportedly includes nuclear-capable cruise missiles based on Ukrainian designs. I suspect Arrow 3 isn't designed to handle them. For those, you'll need to detect them over long distances, then it's up to the IAF to take them out. There's also the "stealth" approach. Load one on an Iranian weapons ship like the Karine A or Francop. If undetected by Israeli naval forces, they're towed to Eilat or Ashdod. One doesn't want to consider what happens next.

i believe that all here need to relax. iran will never attack israel because they know that one missile sent to israel will be their end. israel almost used its nuclear arsenal in 1973 during the horrible existential war, which at the end, they also won. but, if iran does this, it is finished. also, do not underestimate israel's military and technological capabilies. israel usually lets out details half way only to the press. they let out information they can afford to and keep other information to themselves. they never say what they have and where. they never say "everything". they leak out bits and pieces for consumption only. the rest is very lethal and iran better watch out. usually, israel lets out just enough information about its capabilities and plans to "convince the enemy". what they don't tell the enemy is what the enemy fears the most. hameed aboughaze, iranian
