1. I'm Upset At Not Being Invited
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (05.28.10)
Im amazed that Mr. Chomsky wasn't there, but he was visiting Hezbollah telling them that Israel has a persecution complex ( the leader of Hez must be laughing in his hide-out, pondering how best to use his 80,000 rockets and Scud Ds? Thomas Friedman who believes the entire problem lies with those darn Israeli settlements, which take up about 3% of the "disputed land". If only 300,000 "settlers" would move into Israel pre-67 borders and E. Jerusalem..well, that's for another post. Sandy Kofax.who is he, I would have preferred someone current, lie that Laker player. But then again, Daniel Barenboim wasn't there, so maybe that's okay. After all, he was born in South America before becoming an Israeli. Does he have US citizenship I wonder? I wasn't invited however, and Im upset.

ajs ,   Ashdod   (05.28.10)
What a pity that Mr. Obama and Company left the real Jewish Personallities. The Squarer Rebbi Novinmisker Rebbe Rabbi Feinstien Roshie HaYesheva and many other important Orthadox Jews who represent a major portion of the Jewish Community in America.
7. the first picture says it all...
real jew ,   israel   (05.28.10)
...a crowd of the jews that obama chose to invite, and not a single kippa can be seen... what a sham...
8. 7 Those Jews think a Kippa is a kind of Scotch Smoked fish

11. To 6 living legends of US Jewish culture
Arielush ,   Ramat Ha Golan   (05.29.10)
Apparently you cannot read, the reception was for living legends of US culture. These are reps of the Orthodox community. Maybe they contributed to their own communities but they have not contributed to the US Jewish community. Also these people don't recognize conservative or reform Judaism they would never participate in such an event.

14. There are Jews and there are "jews"
jason white ,   afula,israel   (05.29.10)
Any Jew with an ounce of self respect would not have gone there.
15. Bernie & Phil ... couldn't attend.
New Zealand   (05.30.10)
...seems they are still on vacation. Don't know how to read into this event. With such a predominance of Jews in the White House and the funding support from Jewish financiers for the Democrats there is a danger this event could be viewed negatively unless the same occasion was extended to other religious denominations or ethnic minorities. Leave it to the jury.
16. Sandy and Hank
David Moshe ,   Israel   (05.30.10)
Actually it was Hank Greenberg of the Detroit Tigers in the 1930s who may have started the no-play on Yom Kippur trend. A Detroit sports writer wrote: We shall miss him in the outfield We shall miss him at the bat But he's true to his religion And we'll honor him for that
