2. They do not present me
Emre ,   Helsinki Finland   (05.28.10)
I would like to repeat again I'm a Turkish and they do not represent me or my nation. I wouldn't care if Israely Navy sinks that ship.
3. Blackouts don't work guys...
Dismayer ,   Australia   (05.28.10)
Remember Cast Lead? Ynet - Likud mouthpiece says activist propaganda - and meanwhile the IDF states the cold hard fact that there are terrorists on the ship. How quaint that it's only propaganda when the other guy does it. Look out Israel, for heaven's sake do the right thing and let these guys go through - we all know the alternative will be disastrous for you.
4. I hope they all sink.
Wise Saba ,   Eretz Yisrael   (05.28.10)
5. to #3...
not dismayed ,   israel   (05.28.10)
dear #3, the "dismayer"... by stating that you think that ynet, which is run by yediot ahronot, is a likud mouthpiece, you have broadcast your ignorance to the entire globe... who can take you seriously now? thats like saying that fox news is the mouthpiece of the american democratic party... secondly, the israeli government already transfers thousands and thousands of tons of supplies and aide to gaza, and allows numerous ngos and u.n. bodies to funnel money and goods in as well...in addition to that, the israeli government offered to transfer any humanitarian goods that these ships are carrying into gaza, which was rejected by the rabblerousers aboard the ships, proving that they do not care about the people of gaza, they care about the power of propoganda... wise up and get a life...
6. THEY ARE BRAVE PEOPLE, NO MATTER WHAT.
ATİLLA KARAGÖZOĞLU   (05.28.10)
7. I HATE POLITICS. A PEOPLE ARE DIEING THERE.
ATİLLA KARAGÖZOĞLU   (05.28.10)
AND WE STILL MAKING POLITICS. YES. THEY DONT NEED FOOD FIRSTLY THEY NEED WORLD HAND FOR FREEDOM. ENOUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
8. They do not represent us either
Noel Murphy ,   Cork   (05.28.10)
Who are they to drape the Irish flag on their ship - they most certainly do not have the right to create the impression that they have the support of the Irish people! They screamed when an Irish passport was supposedly forged by Israeli's - this false representation is more despicable. Hope the ship sinks
9. Terrorists on board?
Resistor   (05.28.10)
10. Atilla
denon ,   boston, usa   (05.28.10)
Stop screaming. Go board that ship and make videos, I promise I will watch, especially if you record how IDF spanks you
11. Not Humanitarian
Nachman ,   Maale Adumim   (05.28.10)
It ihas already been shown by the facts that these people do not have the welfare of anyone in mind especially the ordinary citizens of Gaza at heart. They have refused to make a humanitarian gesture on behalf of Gilad Schallit and they have refused Israel's offer to deliver the goods overland if the flotilla lands in Ashdod - this is a cheap publicity stunt which will fail when the ships are herded into Ashdod port and the terrorists on board are arrested and the useful idiots who accompanied them are flown out of the country. And the people of Gaza ...
12. Emre . .. shut up. who cares??
Dr. Honey ,   Gaza   (05.28.10)
13. i wonder...
(05.28.10)
why did they refuse to accept the Israeli proposal to transport the goods by land. It seems they are trying to provoke a "reaction" from the Israeli soldiers to demonise them in the media. It makes one wonder where are their priorities, in demonising Israel or helping the palestinians.
14. Not a big deal!
Martin R ,   Johannesburg, SA   (05.28.10)
I think the Israelis should board the ships, search them, do the normal "immigration checks" on the passengers. If nothing untowards is found, allow them into Gaza. If their intentions are not as "pure" as they say, then expose them to the world media. After all, they can't be that intelligent if they're allowing themselves to be used in this way by Hamas.
15. to "I wonder"
yuval ,   israel   (05.28.10)
They applied via Turkish embassy and tried for weeks to get permission. But the Israeli authorites did not even bother to answer. This flotilla is going to show the world Israel's true face.
16. Noel Murphy is a Langer
Seamus Lynch ,   Cork, Eire   (05.28.10)
Because the ships do represent me, and I am glad they have the Tricolour on the boat..... Israel is an apartheid Nation. There is a policy of seperateness legally enforced. On the anniversary when the Dunnes stores strikers are being celebrated for not handling south african goods in 1984, its time that Israeli goods are not accepted in Europe. BTW- Not sure is Noel is actually from Cork. His way of saying 'They Screamed' shows he is probably someone claiming he is Irish, but more than likely, the closest he came to being Irish, is being in Molly Blooms on a Thursday night.
17. Hamas true face, in black and white
Yehoshua ,   usa   (05.28.10)
Article 12 of the “moderate” Abbas’ Fatah Party charter states their goal of “Complete liberation of Palestine, and eradication of Zionist economic, political, military and cultural existence.” Article 19 states: “….this struggle will not cease unless the Zionist state is demolished and Palestine is completely liberated.”
18. the offer to unload in ashdod came, after egypt offered to
eporue ,   europe   (05.28.10)
allow the ships to al arish... a few hours later, the ashdod-news came, it was some days ago... reading #15, it seems, that - once more - the whole thing might escalate, because of "strategical" mistakes by your government...
19. the do represent Ireland
corklangers ,   dublin   (05.28.10)
I am proud that an Irish ship with Irish politicos are on the way to Gaz.a. Noel Murphy Cork and Ireland are ashamed of the likes of you. Typical Cork, no backbone.
20. Bravo to these brave people
Jason ,   Canada   (05.28.10)
These are very brave people. I wish them the best luck in getting aide to the people of Gaza. I will be watching the video.
21. Proud of the Irish....
Edithann ,   USA   (05.28.10)
You're God's Blessings.... Proud of you all... TATA
22. #3 - don't recall same condemnation when Iraq blackouts
William ,   Israel   (05.28.10)
There are blackouts of major military operations all over the world, but only on Israel do people feel comfortable enough to make up conspiracy theories and create falsehoods which, even after the truth was known, are still perpetuated for a larger, hate-filled agenda. I think Israel is completely accurate in penning some of the activists on the ships as "terrorists" considering their vocal support for violent terrorism by Hamas, and YES - some of those on board DO have ties with the Muslim Brotherhood and directly with Hamas - both with the end goal of violent attacks on Israel. Whether you pull the trigger or not, if you support terrorism, you're as good as one.
23. Are they relaying the video via satellite?
William ,   Israel   (05.28.10)
Israel has jamming technology. Replace it with an Israeli Tourism video showing the beauty of our country while you take over the ships and unload the aid for travel into Gaza. Then throw the bums in jail, and show video of Israel trucks, with a large flag of Israel on them, bringing the aid to the UN for transport INTO Gaza. They lose the ships, their attempts at demonization of Israel, and their PR stunt fizzles.
24. Is this irony lost on the TB'ers here, especially Leftists??
William ,   Israel   (05.28.10)
That the Turks are supporting a flotilla to a military zone, to an area ruled by violent jihadis in order to "break the occupation since 1974?? That's like Hu Jintao leading protests against how the Dali Lama is treated by Americans during his visits.
25. #6 - No, brave people are those who help Darfurians
William ,   Israel   (05.28.10)
Those in groups like Doctors without Borders, who rush into to known war zones with a target on their heads, in order to save just one person, are true heroes. Because those people get NO notoriety, no benefits, and most likely death, as the world focuses on other issues. These people on the flotilla are media whores and do so knowing they would be treated with kid gloves and never hurt. This is why they oppose Israel, and not countries like Russia, China, Egypt, Sudan, or any Arab nation. They'd e killed and buried in minutes, and they know it.
26. #12 - YOU Should! It means many oppose you.
William ,   Israel   (05.28.10)
The polls that show the real pulse of world opinion show many do not trust the "Palestinians" as anything more than terrorists, and support Israel in Cast Lead as a DEFENSIVE operation. You just can't stand that many are seeing through the lies that you suffer in Gaza, when reports of new cars, zoo animals, tons of food, and appliances are entering all the time.
27. #15 - How exactly? It does more to show Leftists' true face
William ,   Israel   (05.28.10)
Let's not forget that the Turkish group sponsoring this flotilla has direct ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. Not to mention that many high-profile people on board have the very strong opinions that Israel shouldn't even exist, but fail to concern themselves with the fact that Hamas shelled civilians for 10 years so far. Call yourself whatever name you wish - you're certainly not from Israel.
28. #16 - you mean "separateness" between Israelis and "Pals"?
William ,   Israel   (05.28.10)
Yeah, like you have a "separateness" between Irish and the English. It's called "sovereignty", dumbass. The "Palestinians" are not, and never will be, citizens of Israel. Nor are they citizens of Egypt or Lebanon which has laws in place that even treat them poorly if they DO reside in that country. As for the Israeli Arabs...well, show me the laws that forbid them from the same benefits I get as well.
29. #19 - when you're in Darfur, you'll have a backbone
William ,   Israel   (05.28.10)
Until then, you're just weak Leftists running after the easiest ways to get self-serving PR. Do real work for real people who suffer, then we'll talk.
30. Addendum to #24
William ,   Israel   (05.28.10)
I meant ...the irony in that the ship comes FROM Cyprus, an island that was attacked and under partial Turkish occupation, since 1974, which has never been recognized by any UN country.
