because when I consider the fact that most German newspapers do not publish these pictures of turkish people burning Israeli flags and trying to enter the IL-ambassy and when I see that almost all newspapers don't give all the facts around the incident but only the pro-palestinian ones I really can't say where the EU stands now. Imagine, there was only one newspaper publishing the fact that the IL government offered to clear the freights in Ashdod harbour which those guys declined. Also, the name of the operation "Free Gaza" actually explains all, they were looking for the confrontation and they got it - but only a few people to whom I have spoken today share my thoughts. The fact that there were also three members of the German parliament (people from the left wing party) taking part in this offensive makes me feeling even more astonished and ashamed. I really hope that not all German people think in the way that I experienced during the day, because I actually always considered my country as open minded and intelligent.

There was not one single protest, no Iranian flag burning one year ago as fellow muslims were clubbed to death in Iran. No objection to Iranian human rights violations in spite of Turkey being a safe haven for Iranians escaping persecution in Iran. Amazing hypocrisy. Gokcen, your comments show that you think this was actually some kind of humanitarian flotilla. Of course it wasn't. It is very well known for several years that Israel is not allowing any private boats into Gaza, so Turkey sending these boats was an obvious attempt to provoke an international incident. Well, you succeeded beyond your wildest dreams. There is also factual proof that the Israeli navy repeatedly told the boats to stop and not enter Gaza, but they refused. There is also international laws of the seas that supports the blockade of Gaza (we are at war with Gaza, remember?). So if you already knew that the Israeli Navy was going to stop the boats, why would you be so stupid as to put babies and old ladies on the boats? We in Israel are very concerned about Turkey. Once, your country was the voice of reason helping us try to make peace. Now, Turkey sounds like it wants nothing more than to make war on behalf of the Iranians whose puppets are running Gaza. Why? Why is Turkey turning from peace to war?

Reality doesn't matter when it comes to Israel, when was the last time Israel was ever praised abroad? Even during the Haiti rescue operation despite the fact Israel provided the greatest contribution nobody I never saw anybody mention Israel on the foreign media. An Israeli soldier could have a gun held to his head and if he to save his own life killed the gunman Israel would be condemned worldwide. Israel can never satisfy anybody so best thing is just to carry out an internal investigation for its own benefit share the findings with foreign politicians in private so at least they will know the facts. The condemnations though should be ignored. What happened was unfortunate incident but the IDF have nothing to say sorry for as this was self defense. The only thing that should be investigated is weather it was wise to send commandos when they could have approached things better like damaging the ship so it would have to be towed into Ashdod where the IDF could have unloaded the ships confliscate any banned goods and sent the rest of it into Gaza by truck. Then at least we could argue the goods reached their target we just had to make sure that there were no banned materials which could be used against Israel. Israel would have still been a bad guy for not letting the ships through and for instead damaging them but it could argue nobody got hurt and the goods got through. Don't allow convoys through just use other tactics and don't be intimidated by the current condemnation of Israel.

It was known from the beginning that Israel was not going to allow these ships to reach Gaza therefore the mission was a dangerous one. The picture also show some of the so called peace activists with round beards varying deadly daggers in their hands which obviously was their preparation against an IDF raid. Having known that can you tell me what kind of a parent would take a 1 year baby to such a dangerous mission? What was that mother thinking when she took this child to that dangerous ship? Would you Bay Gokcen Ataman take your own (if yo have one) 1 year old child to such a mission? Put your hand on your heart for a few minutes (Elini vicdanina koy eger vicdanin varsa) and think about it.

In my 1st post to you I asked what kind of a parent would bring a 1 year old child to such a dangerous mission. If it is posted here you will see I have an opinion and it is very hard to say it but I will try hoping that YNET will let it be posted. In my opinion these parents were looking to have their child to be harmed so that they could use it a PR against Israel as this whole mission was designed to be. I had always assumed that if a trojan horse were to appear at any city gate in modern times, "we" we sould be able to recognise it, and deal with it before it got in and meant the destruction of us all. Clearly not! The flotilla was a modern day Trojan horse, and like in greek mythology, those who have taken quick action are being hammered for it! The reason people are hating on Israel over this, is due to the quality of journalism employed in telling this story. Most networks began covering the story half way, creating the impression that 'humanitarians' were peacefully asleep at 4 a.m. on a vessel, when IDF commandos landed firing at everything in sight! When the truth of the matter is that the Turkish Prime Minister sanctioned the departure of this Flotillas knowing full well that their actions were flying right in the face of IDF. They even decided to ignore warnings to stop their vessel and dock in Ashdod. Surely!
