31. You cant win a PR war when the Leftist media works with the
terrorists!!!!!!!!!!   (06.01.10)
Israel cant win in the media because the media is a terrorist appeasing entity!
32. LEAVING FOR KURDISTAN
Greg ,   ISRAEL   (06.01.10)
I WANT TO PUT UP A FLOTILLA TO BRING FOOD AND WEAPONS TO KURDS IN TURKIA, AND SUPPORT THEIR FIGHT AGAINST ISLAMIC AND GENOCIDAL TURKISH REGIME. I AM LOOKING FOR ALL TYPES OF NATIONALITIES AND OF COURSE FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND GOODS TO SUPPORT OUR KURDISH BROTHERS THAT ARE SUFFERING UNDER ISLAMIST TURKISH RULE.
33. Own Goal

not a shock here :)
35. Intentional murder at sea
Bob ,   Oregon, USA   (06.01.10)
If the IDF wanted to stop the boats all they needed to do was position ships in front of them. Instead they dropped armed soldiers on board. They wanted to send a message and they did. As with Rachael Corrie, innocents attempting to aid Palestinians have once again been slaughtered. I only hope we can convince our government to stop funding your crimes. Your problem isn't PR, it's a lack of human decency.
36. Isreal Behavior Disaster
Doug ,   Rochester, USA   (06.01.10)
This is a behavior disaster by the Israel political inner-circle and the IDF, not a PR disaster. And unfortunately, dozens of innocent people on board lost their lives or were injured in the process. No matter how much perfume you put on a pig, a pig is still a pig.
37. To Ian
Aryeh ,   NY/USA   (06.01.10)
I have seen picutres of those who were in Concentration Camps and also pictures for Gaza. I suggest that you get a new pair of glasses. The Gaza population seems to be well-fed and clothed. I don't remember seeing hundreds of victims of disease and starvation waiting for burial in Gaza. If Gaza is Israel's fault, it was the fault of their disengagement that created it. Perhaps you would be happier if all Jews from Israel just moved somewhere else, say to Auschwitz?
38. A Question to you!
Thomas ,   Dixieland USA   (06.01.10)
Please explain to us stupid foreigners as to why are you incessantly flagellating, demeaning, belittling yourself? Why are you constantly founding fault with your actions, be always in the fore to bash your country and your people? The E. European ghetto living killed you pride? Drove you insane? It's almost ridiculous to read an opinion in an Israeli paper because those views expressed there amount to idiotic death wishes, self hate and nothing else. What wrong with you? Seek medical help instead!.
39. I'm a Kurdish and stop...
a Kurd ,   Helsinki Finland   (06.01.10)
... talking about Kurdish rights. It makes you people look like a moron. I'm happy with Turkey's current administration.
40. @35
gerhard ,   munich   (06.01.10)
Bob, yes it's a lack of human decency, but Hamas is in no way innocent, neither are the Palestinians who support them. Thousands of mortar shells and alike have hit Israel in last couple of years. But the completely incapable administration isn't or won't deal with the facts in a sensible way. So IMHO it's Ok that Obama and Hillary didn't talk to Bibi now. From the diplomatic side and the relations between the US and Israel this is surely a catastrophy. They need another government in Israel that has something of what we can call common sense and will not play the role of the victim, instead will use their power wisely.
41. #39 you are a turk not a kurd
eporue ,   europe   (06.01.10)
turkey doesn't allow you to call yourself a kurd, they deny that kurdish nation exists if you support the turkish islamist regime then you wouldn't call yourself a kurd, you are an impostor
42. Israel fell for it
Lisa   (06.01.10)
the flotilla was a provocation- right- and Israel fell for it- the attack was botched-and the Jews now have to live with the fall-out. This government is a liability to the State of Israel- incompetent, irresponsible- . Now the government is struggling to come up with lame excuses and half-hearted explanations-is there anybody leading this ship?
43. #29. Ben Ish. You just don’t get it… as usual.
k1w1 ,   NZ   (06.01.10)
You might as well stop squeaking on about all the aid and wonderful things Israel provides for Gaza since this obviously wasn’t about delivering 10,000 tons of aid to Gaza - they hardly need to have a Nobel laureate, an octogenarian Holocaust survivor, and some authors and journalists to hand out food packs. This was all about breaking the illegal Israeli-imposed blockade of Gaza and drawing world attention to the brutal, inhumane treatment the people of Gaza suffer at the hands of Israel. And now, thanks to Israel’s inept handling of the situation, it’s the hottest topic everywhere from Wellington to Washington. The organisers of the flotilla painted a big obvious target on Israel’s foot and, well… everyone knows Israel can’t resist blasting an easy target. Will any of this change Israel’s arrogant and aggressive policies? The people on the flotilla hope it will, but I doubt it. Only a change of regime in Tel Aviv will save the people of Israel from the hard-line, ultra-conservative thugs who have a stranglehold on power and are destroying Israel and creating a rogue state - not to mention their illegal enrichment of uranium, and the WMD stockpile under their control which they use to threaten the whole world with their Project Samson. Hopefully the good people of Israel can bring about this change without outside assistance, but it may be that the world will have to kindly lend a hand by applying harsh and crippling sanctions that target the leaders of the regime and the commanders of their brutal armed forces and all companies that deal with them… to save the people.
44. What Israel REALLY needs to do is assert our rights.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.01.10)
Would anyone even dream of sending a flotilla against say Russia or China? Of course not. Why not? Because Russia and China don't play games. They assert their rights. They'd likely give the flotilla one chance to leave. If it didn't leave immediately, they'd sink it. End of story. PR is not Israel's real problem. What Israel REALLY needs to do is assert out rights.
45. #32 and #41 Thanks for the laugh!
Ahava miKurdistan ;)   (06.01.10)
I thought you didn't like Erdogan, did you? You seem to miss that Erdogan's cabinet is formed mostly by Kurds. Almost all his ministers are Kurds. His voters are mainly religious Kurds. Also, Kurds in Turkey regard Palestinians, even Hamas and HIzballah, as their brothers. Kurds are very, sometimes exteremely, religious Muslims. But, then again, if you are really willing to send Kurds aid, it will be greatly appreciated. Come on, yalla, send them over.
46. PR Disaster
Jack ,   LA, USA   (06.02.10)
I think that Israeli government is so bad in PR because they do not have a strong belief that Israel and it's people own their land and are within their rights to defend it. The leftist propaganda during the last 10-15 years and a lack of good History and Tora based education destroyed the trust and conviction that people had. Now you hear weak and apologetic voices of government ministers and it hurts to see Israeli people slowly loosing their pride, belief and, eventually, their country.
47. Drop the Blockade, Beef Up Philadelpi
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CaUSA   (06.02.10)
The fiasco was when the Israeli navy did not use appropriate weapons initially to thwart the attacks on them. That led to the so-called "massacre", a word coined with ease by the Pales and their supporters. What if those people had massacred the Israelis (killed 9 soldiers)? The operation was consistent with Israel's blockade around the Strip, necessitated when it withdrew completely and NOT stopping effectively the smuggling. (per the UNSC cease fire). But arguments fall on deaf ears as we know. The Pales roaches will continue their goal of ultimately dislodging the Jewish experiment. Peaceful people DO NOT shout anti-Semitic curses and carry weapons, alberit not submachine guns (all contrived to harm but not implicate). Israel might consider removing its blockade offshore, and ratcheting up it's retaliatory raids OR policing the Philadelpi Corridor (border).
48. #46. That's the cause of virtually all Israel's problems.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.02.10)
#46 Jack. You have hit the nail right on the head. Why does Israel continue retreats when they bring us nothing but disaster? Why do we negotiate with terrorists when we know nothing but harm can result? Why does Israel free terrorists? Why does Israel fail to assert our rights to our sole, tiny Homeland? The answer to all these questions is that most of our leaders buy into our enemies' twisted narrative. Deep down inside they have doubts that this land is really ours. Why else would Bibi inflict a blatantly racist building freeze on Israel? That explains their psychotic destructive behavior. We must replace these people or suffer consequences too terrible to contemplate. Israel is full of wise courageous men and women. We must get them into political leadership.
49. #35 stop smoking that stuff
ben Ish   (06.02.10)
Yeah, that's why the commandos boarded with PAINT BALL GUNS. pffft.
50. Number 8
Anon ,   Johannesburg   (06.02.10)
That is where you are wrong Keit, It is because of bad PR that our hands look bloody. In Law, facts are facts, Turkey sent the shipment, Turkey and organisers said beforehand they were ready to fight to get to Gaza, When the fight was over... Israel was to blame. If Israel had any form of Hasbara then maybe this world would not be so blind. FACT
51. Reply
Blame ,   Turkey   (06.02.10)
Kurdistan isnt a legal country. Kurd people hvnt a country. Some kurdish people are Terrorist, some of them our friends, brothers etc. But Palestinian arnt terrorist or intruder. They have a country and thats legal. Now what about Israel? Do u think, do u have Legal country? Think twice are you intruder or not... Kill innocent people. and you have a reason that they have slingshots & knifes. More misleading ftw yeah?
