World public opinion is very important for Israel both for economy and security. This could also put more pressure on Egypt to open its border then the blockade would be useless. What is the goal of the blockade? Is it to only stop weapons or is it to remove Hamas from power or punish Gaza for rocket attacks? Due to the tunnels Hamas has more weapons now and a stronger hold on power but the civilians in Gaza are paying the price for the blockade. I support the blockade but is it working for the right goals?

They did not wish to throw stunt grenades before boarding so they do not get accused of being heavy handed by the antisetes in the EU. Big mistake which led to an even more disastrous result. Next time there is one of these flotillas don't be drawn into their trap & use other methods. Wait till the ship gets closer to Gaza and then disable it. Do that and it can be towed to Israel easily and no soliders lives will have to be risked. If it needs to be disabled in international waters further from Gaza then tow them but airlift supplies to the passengers if there are shortages Use any practical tactics but we must not let this incident stop us from refusing to let these ships delivering their cargo.
