1. About time Egypt accepted their own back
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & New York   (06.01.10)
Gaza is part of Egypt, and as such should take responsibility for their brothers and citizens living there. Funny that no criticized Egypt for its part in the blockade of Gaza.
2. Good leave it open and take control of Gaza!
Ze'ev ,   Lod   (06.01.10)
3. no 1
hebrew prophet ,   israel   (06.01.10)
The so called critics are all involved in the Hamnas tunnel rental empire or are banned from showing the bribes taken by Egyptian border guards and their superiors back in Cairo ,it,s more Islamic lies and cover ups of the Muslim crime taking place in the region.
4. When Mubarak Dies Egypt Will Be Free
World Citizen ,   the world   (06.01.10)
The Americans will not be able to impose another dictator on the Egyptian people. And like what happened to the Shah and Americans in Iran, so shall it happen in Egypt. The Gaza border was opened today because Mubarak knows the handwriting on the wall. His own military might move against him if he continues to do the dirty work of the zionists in Israel and America.
5. "Transfer" Voters Away from Palestine?
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (06.01.10)
Only Racist Jews want to rid themselves of millions of Palestinian voters by transferring Gaza to Egyptian sovereignty. Face facts, Jews/ZionTerrorists have pushed the Natives onto reservations and deprived them of their land, property, and political rights, including the right to vote.
6. Let's see how long it lasts
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.01.10)
My guess would be 24 to 48 hours, before Egypt hermetically seals the border again. This is a grand propaganda gesture on the part of Egypt. The last thing on earth they are interested in is providing aid and comfort to their brother Arabs and fellow Egyptian citizens. They've proven that time and again for over sixty-two years.
7. no 2
hebrew prophet ,   israel   (06.01.10)
Impossible to keep it open for to long as Haniyeh,Mashaal,al Zahour, Moham med Dahlan and others of Hamas don,t want the civilised world to really see the corruption and crime commit ted by them or discover the huge profits made from the tunnel rental empire ,hence no control by Egypt ,too much baksheesh going on .
8. Wake up Mubarak
Al Mujahid   (06.01.10)
Don't serve as an obedient puppet of Israel any more. Your countdown has started.
9. Now is the time to close our side
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.01.10)
Turn off the power, water, food, medical supplies, medical treatment, and fuel. Let Egypt supply all of it.
10. #4 - you mean a violent Islamic rule in Egypt?
William ,   Israel   (06.01.10)
where all non-Muslims are oppressed and history of non-Muslims in the State are systematically erased? And women are oppressed even more? And Egypt will become a global sponsor of Islamic terror proxies? And like most Iranians, I'm sure average Egyptians would not e happy with their new oppressive regime of Imams either. But the good news is - Gaza will again be part of Egypt, and any attack on Israel will be answered in Cairo.
11. #5 - Voters? Gazans aren't israelis
William ,   Israel   (06.01.10)
So they can vote for Elvis as their leader, it wouldn't matter in Israel or Israeli elections. I think this is the point that many Leftists deny but leak out in their rantings. They cry racism and apartheid because they support the one-state solution with an Arab majority and a Jewish minority (but not opposed to the ethnic cleansing of them). Face facts. Canadians can't vote in US elections, and Pallys can't vote in Israeli, or Jordanian, or Egyptian elections. To insist otherwise is apartheid and non-democratic. Considering Arabs lost their genocidal wars against Israel, they're lucky Gaza exists at all.
12. #7 - every hour its open, Hamas loses money
William ,   Israel   (06.01.10)
Hamas is bleeding cash every hour the Rafah crossing is open. It will be closed as soon as the PR dies down.
13. This is great. Now partial WB to Jordan!
William ,   Israel   (06.01.10)
This comes on the heels of Jordan announcing it is considering taking back a portion of the WB with its residents. This would be great. Pally autonomy inside existing Arabs States which already have peace deals with Israel. A real answer to peace, a real solution based in pragmatic reality.
