1. Pictures tell the story
Ben ,   USA   (06.01.10)
The pictures of the first Israelis to board the ship tells it all. They were beaten senseless by Islamic savages. It's surprising only 15 of the vermin are dead. God bless Israel & the IDF.
2. Bibi is getting a bit hysterical...
Erastus CoupeDeVille ,   Ong's Hat, NJ USA   (06.01.10)
"the last thing you can say about that ship is that it was a peace sail"... and what about the other 5 ships that were not air assaulted by inept/inexperienced assault troops.
3. Arrogant and Naive
Dr. Honey ,   Gaza   (06.01.10)
So naive to think that whenever your IDF commandos show up, every body must raise their arms in surrender. You have raided civilians in international waters. Please have the decency to expect some sort of resistance. Non-Israelis are human too, you know.
4. "Flotilla was no peace saidl "
DT ,   "City of good sense"   (06.01.10)
So why send Commandos in with Paint balls ? You see how the International community reacted by Israel "playing soft" ? Israel did the same with Cast Lead and you saw what happened there as well. Next time it should be with max force. Will Israel never learn ?
5. Israel kissable victorious soldiers
Peretz ,   Beirut   (06.01.10)
I kiss the boots of Shomrei Israel and for you Erdogan the dog ,I stoped eatingTurkish salad already.
6. # 2
Birdi ,   Israel   (06.01.10)
The other ships are also NOT peace ships. DUH.
7. Dangerous Game
Lou Gelehrter ,   Jerusalem   (06.01.10)
The Judo tactics do apply to world politics. The general to day world opinion offensive against Israel following the killings of civilians, peaceful minded civilians could substantially change pending an international and neutral inquiry of the events. The world could eventually discover the carefully planned trap waiting the soldiers on Marmara decks. And learn about the identity of the so called "civilians" who tried to lynch the Israelis. The Turkish prime minister is playing a dangerous game. He might find soon a very hot border with the Kurds. The Turks are involved in a new game, switching sides; as usual those games are played by proxies, Israelis and Palestinians in this case. Notwithstanding the Government of Israel, starting with Ehud Barack, is responsible for the mess we are in. Bad planning, lack of proper gathering of information, and no imagination, someone has to pay the bill.
8. The Blame Game!
Don ,   Toronto, Canada   (06.01.10)
Please, I need help understanding this whole thing. I ask an Israeli who started it and he says is the Palastinians. I ask a Palastinian and he says it's the Israelis. "After the second world war you guys...never mind second world war, 200 years ago you guys...forget 200 years ago, back in biblical times you guys..." please, stop it! All I see on the news are Palastinians lobbing bombs and throwing rocks. The Israeli air force goes in and bombs the hell out of them. Next day the Palastinians parade the flag draped coffins of their dead through the streets, and a few days later, they start lobbing bombs and throwing rocks again! The Israelis have grown tired of these assaults, and announced a blockade of Gaza, until it stops. Their military announced to the world that the "flotilla" would not be allowed passage to Gaza. The captains of these vessels chose to ignore the warnings; were boarded, and got their ass kicked. What part of "would not be allowed passage" did they have trouble understanding? Whether Israel has the right to blockade or not I don't know. What I do know is that the situation she finds herself in is deadly serious, and she will do whatever she deems necessary to survive. If I wanted to challenge her, I'd probably take a diplomatic approach, rather than challenge her military. The rockets and rocks approach seems futile. There are just so many innocent people, on both sides of the border, that need this thing resolved.
9. Israel stand firm against terrorists
USA SUPPORTS ISRAEL ,   L.A., USA   (06.01.10)
Israel, stand firm! You are on the side of truth & what is right. You are surrounded by tthose who live solely to destroy Israel & a bias media that never shows the hell that Israeli's must indure with all these insane, evil nations that are out to destroy you. God Bless You!
10. Paintball Guns
Johnnie ,   Canada   (06.01.10)
Thye're trying to feed everyone a stinking red herring. These innocent looking paint ball guns can easily be modified to shoot with greater air pressure thus becoming more lethal and shoot either paint balls or MARBLES. Has anyone counted how many people were hit with pant balls.
11. I heard Israel will hit Teheran with a paintball Jericho

Acc. to Al Jazeera, all of the ships raised a white flag. That is universally understood to signal a peaceful surrender. And, in fact, 5 out of 6 ships DID peacefully surrender, and NO ONE was hurt. The sixth ship, in an act of utter perfidy, flew the white flag but then attacked those who were boarding it. That is about the lowest thing you can do. You cannot have it both ways. If you are peaceful, surrender peacefully and you will not be harmed. 5 out of 6 ships managed to do so. You attack, the other side will defend itself with superior force. No other country in the world would act differently.
14. Only release when Shalit is released and Status on ARAD!

Hans   (06.02.10)
Standing back looking at the situation: Israel has established a long standing blockade of Gaza. A turkish-backed aid convey attempted to BREAK through it. Attempting to break through a blockade appears highly IRRESPONSIBLE and antagonistic; especially having been warned they would be intercepted. Ensuring agreement of safe passage of ANY aid convey past ANY blockade that needs to be traversed is the ONLY responsible means of ensuring tragedies like this do not occur. Approaching a military presence and failing to listen to their instruction puts all parties in a very difficult situation. Risk was assumed by the aid convey not only approaching the blockade (without agreement being reached ahead to ensure safe passage) but then attempting to break through it. Choosing to ignore military instruction at sea will almost certainly lead to being boarded. What did the aid convey expect? I find the parallels to piracy highly tenuous. Piracy is an opportunistic act for net benefit. The boarding of this aid convey is to the contrary on both counts. Aid conveys must run their operations in a responsible fashion. Doing so will remove the risk of such tragedies transpiring. It is painful to read about what has happened here as it could so well have been avoided. Groups that fail to act in the interests of the international community should be held accountable. Setting sail as an aid convey without safe passage being agreed with nations that have blockades that need to be traversed should not be viewed as acceptable. International community step up – take responsibility by the horns so such events do not happen!
16. so what else is new?
ben Ish   (06.02.10)
I have been saying the same for years. The leadership MUST learn that there is NO Israeli action the world will approve of. EVER. Name ONE SINGLE ARTICLE by main stream media anywhere in the world that even once mentions the humanitarian aid Israel provides to Gaza. I have read many articles today from media all over the world and guess what none of them say? PAINT BALL GUNS. They talk only about "Israeli Commandos" and "Humanitarians" killed. If Israel built and staffed a free hospital in Gaza, the headlines would scream "Israel resumes occupation of Gaza" with photos of the 'facility' where innocent civilians are being 'processed'. Stop trying to prove Israel is right. They are never going to get it because the leadership fails to understand the nature of the information war that is has lost. And in fact without ever realizing it was engaged in.
