Frank ,   Canada   (06.02.10)
This is an obvious Palestinian provocation.
2. Ynet/Abu Mazen two peas in a pod.
Eliyahu Konn ,   Yrushalayim   (06.02.10)
I mean whoever is running Ynet.
3. what a coward. It is so different to what he says
JO   (06.02.10)
just ask the average Jew- Arab and Jew - on the Jerusalem street. The leadership is stupid.
4. abbas -israeli media criticism
moron ,   galut   (06.02.10)
right about israeli media encouraging israel's enemies
5. Put Abbas on the terror list ...
Ben ,   London, UK   (06.02.10)
And finish already with the PLO and Fatah and sends them back to Tunis. Both organizations are terrorist organizations. There are more pragamatic than hamas but the intentions are the same. No need to speak with these losers. Israel and Jews have got to realize that there is nothing they will do that will be acceptable by this world. People will not want to give any credit or be objective towards israel. Whether it is an operation, a wall, a checkpoint ... the world will scream its disaprobation. There are countless operations on this planet, countless checkpoints and countless walls yet only oen kind of those will raise hell in the UN, the ones put in place by Israel. Turkey can destroy the kurds occupy Cyprus and deny committing genocide in Amenia, Russia can raise Chechnya, Sri Lanka can swallow the Tamils, Thailand can shoot at will the red shirts, China can eat Tibet ... but Israel has no right to nothing. Jews have got to understand, that the world likes nothing more than a defensless jew and jews have got to accept that they are no superior hunted animals. Just like birds or wild boars the world wants the freedom of hunting jews.
6. And Palestinians urge Abbas to resign
Salma ,   Palestine   (06.02.10)
We want a Palestinian army protect us, and a strong leader knows how to build this army from scratch
7. hypocrite
daniel ,   israel   (06.02.10)
I certainly wonder why these people appreaciate solidarity for the Palestinian cause, considering the internal Palestinian struggles and clan warfare they are going through. Gaza is under siege because Hamas took it over fully, without any PA representation. It's easy to propagandize and make lofty speeches but in some instances, for those who know a little more facts beyond the rhetoric can only be awed by the hypocrisy.
8. Abbas isn't even an elected leader...
R ,   Jerusalem   (06.02.10)
They called off elections because they know he won't be elected. This guy is a farce. His people are suffering because like his predecessor, they don't make decisions about what is best for the people, they steal from the people and keep them in misery. Abbas lives in a multi million dollar compound with his life at risk, not from Israel, but from the people he claims to represent. Blah blah blah...his talk means nothing.
9. Protect Palestinians? why are they so innocent and helpless?
Talula ,   Israel   (06.02.10)
Hundreds of families in Israel who have lost children and family members in suicide bombing explosions, will tell you otherwise. Ahhh if only these Losers would wake up from their comatose state and see the light - they'd see the entire situation for what it really is. No-one but NO-ONE condemns the Palestinians for smuggling arms through tunnels, everyone pretends they don’t have weapons, who are they trying to kid. It’s not teddy bears being launched into Israel – it’s rockets. Enough with this sickly attitude that the Palestinians are downtrodden - they are vicious and evil.
10. #6 No strong leaders in "palestine".
Janice Cohen ,   ירושלים   (06.02.10)
11. Pals always looking for territory without accepting Israel
Sam ,   Canada   (06.02.10)
At the same time Abbas and the Palestinians always seek sympathy from the West and forced concessions from Israel, the Palestinians are always silent on their rejection of a Jewish-majority Israel. The Palestinians have condemned the mid-east to perpetual bloodshed by seeking by any means the destruction of Israel.
12. :: Abbas should thank Israel...
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.02.10)
...and send a nice fruit basket with Palestinian dates/olives/oranges/etc. Abbas should thank Israel for putting the issue of the brutal Israeli occupation of the Palestinian People squarely back on the world agenda. Israeli military incompetence and disproportionate deadly force has raised the plight of the Palestinian People on a global level. Kol ha'kavod.
13. Protect the scoundrels?
Brod ,   USA   (06.02.10)
They should do it by having Jordan absorb them as Jordan is a Palestinian state where 70% of the population are 'Palestinians.' Why usurp Israel 's tiny land to accommodate these Islamist-Jihadists? Israel should not go along with this perversion. The Free World does not need to protect the wolves and tigers of the world. They will continue to crusade their Jihadism on the rest of the non-Islamist world till the End Time when GOD will put an end to all the dark forces.
14. # 9 Talula, ِare you kidding?
Salma ,   Palestine   (06.02.10)
You wrote "NO-ONE condemns the Palestinians for smuggling arms through tunnels" What about the collective punishment imposed on more than one million people in Gaza?! Can we know, How do you prefer the world to condemn the Palestinians? Perhaps by genocide them !
15. #14 I agree with the end of your post.
Yossi G. ,   Jerusalem   (06.02.10)
16. Abbas continues his lies
Ken Jurist   (06.02.10)
Abbas who financed the Munich Massacre and is naming streets after Palestinian mass murderers who massacre Israeli civilians on buses, shopping centers, disco's and pizzeria's is the biggest fraud. The Palestinian “leadership” and its younger population have no other purpose in life, nor are capable of doing anything else except howl at Israel and wallow in victim hood. The despotic governments in the Middle East and the so-called Muslim World are delighted their is a running sore which deflects the attention of their own miserable, uneducated populations so they can stay in power and riches. The West remembers the machine gun attacks on airports, hijacked planes, kidnappings, on-camera beheadings, blown up public transport and collapsing sky-scrapers. Leave them to stew in their own juices.
17. No more useless talking Abbas
Ypip ,   Canada   (06.02.10)
This was obviously a palestinian provocation that left 9 dead. How's your bomb belt squad kiddy ring?
18. Pals seek attention but leave no way out
Sam ,   Canada   (06.02.10)
The Palestinians are constantly seeking spectacular ways to draw attention onto themselves. It may be suicide bombings, airplane hijackings,Olympic massacres or whatever. However, they leave the world no way out from these spectacles. They demand only the destruction of Israel as a solution. They will not have it.
19. Mr,Abbas
Shalom ,   U.S.A / Israel   (06.02.10)
What protect the Palestinians ? From Pitt balls ,protect the Israelis from Palestinian lies and they terrorist minds World going to learn what they stand for .
20. Protect Palestinians from their own kind
Tatyana ,   Brooklyn, USA   (06.02.10)
Protect Palestinians from Israel? Palestinians are treated the absolute worst in the arabic countries, such as Jordan and Lebanon. They have set up camps there with horrid conditions and refuse to let the Palestinians into their communities. As if Egypt treats Palestinians better, they also protect their borders against Gaza and shoot instantly any Pali who tries to cross the border. Furthermore, protect your Palestinians from each other, the way your massacred each other in the fight amongst Fatah and Hamas is one for the books. Israel is just lef to contain your hatred from spilling into its country.
21. By the election of Hamas
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (06.02.10)
the Gazans imposed "collective punishment" on themselves. If the fools gave up terrorism, they'd find no better friends than Israelis, Salma.
22. he's the president... no?
Palestinian in USA ,   Los Angeles   (06.02.10)
I ASK Abbas, seriously If you want to be the president and have the responsibility over the protection and safety of Palestinian, then why don't you protect us and do wuts right?
23. #22 What should Abbas do for you Palestinian?
Sam ,   Canada   (06.02.10)
Abbas is waiting with other Palestinians for someone to destroy Israel for them. The West will not do it despite Palestinian theatrics and the Arabs and other Muslims are unable to do it. Either make peace with Israel or you and other Palestinians will be waiting for nothing for a long, long time.
24. All strong PA leaders are in Israeli prisons
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (06.02.10)
Strong PA leaders are a danger to Israel, while Abbas is too weak to be a major threat. If Abbas get a backbone he may windup in prison too.
25. Let Abbas meet with Hamas on top of building....
(06.02.10)
26. Attack on Boat was International Crime
author30 ,   Menlo Park, CA   (06.02.10)
Anyone with a conscience should strongly condemn the massacre committed by the Israeli forces in International waters against civilian humanitarian activists who were on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla to deliver humanitarian aid. The unprovoked Israeli attacks occurred at night, and, based on current reports, massacring 20 unarmed civilian humanitarian activists and injuring over 60. The use of military force by Israel in international waters against peace activists on the Flotilla is a provocation to the international community and violates humanitarian values and international law. The spirit of fairness, justice and equality, demands that the international community should hold Israel accountable for the deaths of the peace activists and demand an immediate end to the blockade of Gaza.
