31. Who is funding this?
Jan Bresky ,   Falun Sweden   (06.02.10)
Where is the funding coming from? Can I smell Iranian funding?
32. Be Smart This Time, Ehud
Reuven Brauner ,   Raanana, Israel   (06.02.10)
Just knock out their engines or something.
33. Irish Boat
Jason, Ph.D. ,   Charlotte, USA   (06.02.10)
Israel should bring a whole camera crew to the boat and film everything from beginning to end. As long as no one on the boat is violent, everyone will see that there will be no violence on the Israeli side. After making sure that there are no weapons aboard, Israel should just confiscate the cement, and then allow the boat to continue on to Gaza. It is really very simple.
34. Cement
Daniel Grodner ,   Israel   (06.02.10)
The most crucial of all humanitarian supplies
35. When they reach Israel's limits...
Keren ,   IL-BR   (06.02.10)
...blow up the engine of their boat, and before it sinks, offer canoes and life saving jackets and scort them to Ashdod and then directly to Ben Gurion. Simple, objective, without pain.
36. ןSRAEL
ANN GREENFEILD ,   U.SA   (06.02.10)
ן LOVE ןSRAEL AND WILL ALWAYS BE ON ןSAEL SIDE. ןןRALAND DONT CARE
37. @ Mike from Miami
Fairness4all ,   London, UK   (06.02.10)
Let me throw some facts at you: - Even Israeli media agree there are gaps in the video, as of now the only "evidence" out there - People involved in the altercation are still being held and denied access to journalists (source: NYT) - Everyone on board had their camera's and phones confiscated (source: FT/NYT) so the only video we are seeing is Israeli Are you still happy that you know the full facts here despite very aggressive moves by Israel to ensure only one-side is being discussed? Frankly I don't know what happened. But I'm sorry, abseiling commandos in a pre-dawn raid, paintball/smoke grenades or not, was insanely heavy handed considering who was on board.
38. Irish interference
Noel ,   Cork, Ireland   (06.02.10)
Foreign Affairs minister Micheal Martin has allowed his own pro-Hammas views to cloud his ability to represent the Irish nation impartially. He should desist from offering support to the "humanitarians" in their attempts to break the blockade imposed on the Hammas terrorist organisation. Ireland has enough internal problems of their own dealing with refugees. They should spend less time trying to dictate to Israel how they should act against activists intent on supporting terrorists who launch regular attacks against Israeli civilians.
39. :: This reminds me of SS Exodus 1947...
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.02.10)
...which tried to illegal break the British blockade. Like the civilians about the Mavi Marmara these Jewish civilians of yesteryear also violently resisted the attempt to turn the ship around. There is little difference between the brave people on the MV Rachel Corrie/Mavi Marmara and those aboard the SS Exodus.
40. That's ok
Nancy ,   Sydney, Australia   (06.02.10)
They'd have to land in Israel.
41. Stick to your policy. Do not waver and make allowances for
Harry Wright ,   UK   (06.02.10)
provocateurs. Mean what you say and say what you mean. Once they enter your waters, you call the shots. Direct them to Ashdod and if they do not comply, take action according to established maritime rules. Hand deliver a formal letter to the Irish PM and publish the letter up front. He has already publicly declared that the ship belongs to Ireland. cc the letter to the US President, the EU, the UN and whoever else as necessary. No surprises and drama now, please. Do what you have to do with transparency and within the law (& I am not implying that the recent fiasco was against the law). Lodge a complaint at the UN and EU against Ireland and Turkey for their provocative action against Israel.
42. #22 Where will they land, idiot ?
Janice Cohen ,   ירושלים   (06.02.10)
43. Or,better yet, scort the boat to El Arish ,in Egypt
Keren ,   IL-BR   (06.02.10)
and let Egyptians deal with THEIR problem, not ours. These "humanitarians "of hell must complain with Egypt about any blocade, not with Israel. This is an arab problem!Make them deal with it!
44. to #22 matty this org is support by hamas
ghostq   (06.02.10)
you just suport world jihad, as for blockad it's legal as long as rockets land on Israeli civilians. oh another thing it doesn't matter which transportation in airplains it's even more lethal cause crash got high chances of 100% catualties. got anymore stupid ideas.
45. #8 - also didn't mentioned she stepped in front of bulldozer
William ,   Israel   (06.02.10)
despite being warned again and again, while acting as a human shield for a building used in tunnel smuggling. The article also didn't mention she fell out of site of the driver and her ISM'ers admit it was all a big mistake.
46. #22 - plenty of existing channels for delivery
William ,   Israel   (06.02.10)
You just can't stand that Israel has a right and obligation to inspect the materials going into a terrorist enclave.
47. #39 - Really? Exodus smuggling flak jackets, night goggles?
William ,   Israel   (06.02.10)
If I recall correctly, the Jews on the Exodus were not armed to the teeth and full of hatred for Arabs and Brits.... and the "activists" on this flotilla are not running from a persecution in another land. Not a good comparison at all, except to yet again steal another person's history away for your own Leftist agenda.
48. David, slaughtering of indigenous left to your country folk
Jonny ,   SA   (06.02.10)
David, we leave the slaughtering of indigineous people to the Australians. Wonder if you ahve evr met one? Actually Israel left the Gaza strip some years ago, but then dont let facts ruin your sinple mind
49. Cannot expect anything better from the Irish
Jonny ,   SA   (06.02.10)
It looks as if the Irish have declared war. We all know the attitude of the Irish "politicians" to the Jews, one of them was instrumental in one of the most henious anti semitic gathering since WW2.
50. @ # 37
Mike ,   North Miami   (06.02.10)
Well mate, now we all know that there were Al-Kaida ppl on board. So shut the hell up will ya? peace activists don't attack soldiers with bars and knives, "considering who was on board", well we saw some good piecefull activists stabing soldiers...well by what write did these soldiers defended them selves??? you are right...they are jews and should be killed without ressistance. F*** you Fairness4all (yeah righ") confiscated you say? it was live to the whole world! STOP ISLAMIC PROPOGANDA! When the US mistakely bombed a house in Afghanistan and killed 30 civilians..where were you "Fairness4all"? Didn't here you than. where was your so called fairness when Israeli cities of Sderod and Ashdod were bombarded hourly by dozens of rockets. did anyone condamn that? I am sure you didn't "FairnessOnlyForLies".
51. Israel - Quo Vadis ?
Folke Bernadotte.   (06.02.10)
Dear Israel, you are in deep trouble once more.So many angry "friends" throwing harsh words against other people. I am sure that the attention you get now a days is far from the early days in your young history - then most contries admired your achievements - but no, well being a very small country with aa few millions inhabitants, you should try to go back to your roots. I am not certain that Almighty Lord approves of what he is seing.
52. #22 good luck
(06.02.10)
let just hope their plane won't be hit by a rouge kasam rocket launched by the peacful palestinians or something.
53. @Talula
Fairness4all ,   London, UK   (06.02.10)
It's sad you clearly don't even read your own newspapers. The ships were in International Waters - a fact that no one outside of yourself denies.
54. @Daniel Grodner
Fairness4all ,   London, UK   (06.02.10)
Hey Dan! A missile has just destroyed your home. w/o cement, wood, or iron, and no access to brick, how exactly would you like to rebuild your home? So yes, cement is actually a vital piece of aid - unfortunately this is something Israel does not allow to be imported.
55. @50
Fairness4all ,   London, UK   (06.02.10)
Mate? Hey, how about looking into spell check before you post again. Hard to take you seriously. First off, just where are these "Al Qaeda" operatives? So far, there's only been zero evidence produced by the Israelis to that effect. Look at my comments again, just where do I sympathise with "Islamic Propaganda"?? I'm only repeating and "sympathising" with things stated and backed up by a wide variety of organizations such as Amnesty International, the UN, EU, Doctors w/o Borders, etc etc. Oh, and for the record, yes shooting missiles into Israel is illegal and wrong, but before you go on your high horse you may want to compare the body count of those missiles as opposed to the countless deaths caused by the IDF with their tanks and bombs. Oh, did the US ever try and sink one of our allies ships? No. Did the US ever murder peace activists trying to block the demolition of homes? No. Did the US ever gun down a TV crew from the BBC? No. Need I go on?
56. to #37 wrong the evidences r all over the internet
ghostq   (06.02.10)
9 inch blade of a knife is a weapon and it was used to attack IDF soldiers, I saw molotoves, torches, metal chaines bottle full of rocks(that stuff can do serious damage) so you see the evidences r there you just ignor them.
57. May ship meet same fate as namesake.
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (06.02.10)
58. Blow them out of the water
Mike ,   Miami   (06.02.10)
First send in the fighters to straff the ship, then gunboats to rake the ship with machine guns from bow to stern on both sides with a few torpedoes thrown in, shoot at anyone trying to put out the fires and sink any lifeboats they put into the water. Wait a minute, that sounds familiar. http://www.gtr5.com/summary_of_events.htm Remember the Liberty!
59. Disable its engines now & deport the passengers
zionist forever   (06.02.10)
Don't sink it just damage it enough so it will take a while to fix and by the time it is they will have all been deported and tell the Irish or Turkish government whoever is in charge to avoid more problems order the captain to bring the ship straight home no more stunts.
60. For anybody curious about "Palestine" and the blockade
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (06.02.10)
"... the [Goldstone] report contains the clearest finding that Hamas and other militant Palestinian groups committed serious war crimes and possibly crimes against humanity. The acceptance of those findings by the Human Rights Council and the General Assembly has been ignored completely..." Richard Goldstone, Interviewed by Ha'aretz, Nov 13 2009
