31. No Mr Ban, the embargo PROTECTS
Scott   (06.03.10)
I am so sick of the pro-thug UN. this embargo has prevented Hamas from building up even more from supplies provided by Iran.
32. Un ban gaza blockade
Nick ,   Newcastle, UK   (06.03.10)
The very same UN who's forces have allowed terrorist states, Iran & Syria to pour thousands of missiles and hundreds of tons of weapons to Hezbollah would allow Gaza to become a second Iranian base for attacking Israel by ignoring blockade. The UN stinks! They are unimportant so Israel, ignore them.

Do you speak English? Your post is incomprehensible.
34. The reality is there is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza
Ron B. ,   Lod   (06.03.10)
In a typical week, 15,000 tons of Israeli humanitarian aid supplies enter Gaza. Truckloads of meat, poultry, fish, dairy products, fruits, vegetables, milk powder, baby food, wheat and other supplies arrive in Gaza daily. Building materials are also shipped in, when monitored by International organizations so that it is not commandeered by Hamas for the fortification of bunkers. (source ) That is, in a week, Israel sends more aid to Gaza than is contained in the 10,000 tons of the so-called humanitarian aid flotilla. As to “poverty” in Gaza : http://xrl.us/bhm6x9

Why did you lie about the Sbarro Pizzeria attack? Why do you make such stuff up?
36. ISRAEL, REMAIN CALM
tony   (06.03.10)
Israel should remain calm. Ban Kimoon and the UN, EU, UK, and Barak Obama wants the destruction of Israel. Israel should not listen to them. The UN, EU, and NATO should stop the fight in Afghanistan against those whom they called militants - the mulas, and allow them to destroy the Afghans. The same thing is happening in other places. Turkey, recently killed so many Kurds, without any comment or condemnation from the UN, EU, NATO and the media world. They are a bunch of hypocrites. What of China against Tibets and Russia against the Chechenyas. Besides, Israel should not mind them. They should develop a thick skin like Iran and North Korea. Infact, the problem with Israel is that, Israel is too soft and too many people are talking at same time. Turkey will never try such a thing with Iran or North Korea. The ships with the sailors would have been sunked, and both nations would care less. Israel needs a bold and radical leader who care less about the UN, EU, NATO and the world media, when the security of Israel is at stake. Ban Ki-mood should go and take his breakfast and sleep.
37. UN - measuring with two different kinds
Dave ,   Berlin Germany   (06.03.10)
Can anybody (seriously) explain me, why the UN measures with two different kinds in this case? A very few kilometers in the north (I talk about the coast of lebanon) the UN blocks any ships reaching the lebanese coast without being checked. This mission UNIFIL was created to support the (weak) government of lebanon to prevent terror und weapons coming into the country. As everybody knows Israel is not a weak country at all. But if Israel demands to take the SAME right for itself (preventing terror) the UN, US and EU react "shocked".... Did they simply "forget" that Hamas is also in the eyes of UN, US and EU a TERROR organisation?
38. Ban Ki what?
Philippe Delaporte ,   Marseilles France   (06.03.10)
Do you exist really , never heard of you and never seen any action taken by you to condemn Hamas bombing on Sderot? You looney Mickey mouse stay on your moon and shut up. Idiot!!!
39. I find it rather sad
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.03.10)
... that Ban Ki Moon has entirely failed to address the humanitarian crisis in North Korea -- in the depths of a famine that has claimed millions of lives -- while focusing on Gaza, where store shelves are well-stocked. What a pathetic hypocrite he is! There is, unfortunately, no shortage of humanitarian crises in the world. You need look no further than the Sudan ... Somalia ... the Ivory Coast .... the Congo .... North Korea .... Myanmar, to name but a paltry few. If harping on Israel is the best that the Secretary General of the United Nations can do, he needs to resign his post and allow someone with broader vision to assume the role. Alternatively, the United Nations should be entirely dismantled. They are useless, anyway. The organization exists solely for the support and financial empowering of Palestinian terrorists. Enough is enough. Time to point out that the emperor has no clothes.
40. To: No. 35
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.03.10)
Tread very, very carefully here. You don't want me to find you -- I can -- and hale you into court for libel -- I will. My son was murdered by the suicide bombing at Sbarro Pizzeria. That is a fact. Can you prove me wrong? Of course not. If you think you can ... well -- do it. Thus far, all you have done is thrown around baseless accusations. I'll see you in court. Trust me. You will really, really hate the outcome of that particular engagement. I assure you. In the meantime, while I understand that you are a scurrilous, unrepentant Jew-hater and Israel-hater, you WILL stop despoiling the memory of my son. You are a vile and vicious creature. Keep it up and I PROMISE you that I will find you and sue you. You're a fake and a fraud that hides behind a folk song. Have a really nice day, Matty. Don't force my hand. Unless you want to end up working to pay off a judgment in my favor for the rest of your miserable life. I assure you that I can do it. No ... I assure you that I WILL do it.
41. #39. Simple!
Ram ,   London   (06.03.10)
Sudan, Somalia, North Korea etc etc are not being used as pawns by the pocket lining Saudis and other arab oil producing countries. Whilst Netanyahu is not doing a bad job, I don't understand why he has to be so diplomatic. Why doen't he raise his voice and simply shout "hypocrits" to all who are placing the blame on Israel for the Marmara outcome. All Israel's representative do is painfully try to "explain" to the world what happened. The world already knows what happened; there is enough footage out there that leaves no doubt. As for the UN, there needs to be an alternative to an organisation that has been hijacked by villains. The fact that it is allowed to exist in its present form speaks volumes about the interest in it for the US and EU.
42. did the UN demand the US lift its blockade of Cuba?
zionist forever   (06.03.10)
During the the Cuban missile crisis the US banned all ships approaching Cuba because they were worried that they might be carrying Soviet missiles which would be pointed at America. I wasn't born at the time of the missile crisis but I have never read anywhere the UN saying the blockade was illegal & demanding that it was lifted. Israel has placed a blockade on Gaza to stop weapons smugling. In this case rockets are not just being pointed at Israel like what happened in Cuba but thousands of them have already been fired at Israel. If it had been American soldiers who came down those ropes and got lynched the other day having to open fire Obama would have said we regret the loss of life but our boys were defending themselves and the UN and the rest of the world would have said he is the US president & he has justified it so the whole issue ends here. Israel though is the bad guy of the region and it doesn't have American money and political muscle so ots not allowed to do anything. The arabs could have all had guns and be shooting at the soldiers but if the soldiers shot back in defense Israel would be condemned globally. We would have been told your soldiers should have dropped their guns put their hands up and surrendered to the armed mob but instead you shot back so you did wrong and deserve international condemntaion. Gaza is a hostile entity and as a result the blockade is legal under international law and has been effective because it has limited the amount of weaponry they have been able to bring in. The world condemned Cast Lead. If there had been no rockets coming into Gaza then there would have been no rockets landing in Sderot and no need for Cast Lead. Time to stop thinking about the poor palestinians and their supporters and actually ask WHAT IS THE PURPOSE FOR THIS BLOCKADE
