1. Since when Israel has justice for not jews?
George ,   Canada   (06.03.10)
and the rest of the world are expecting Israel to conduct honest inquiry about the flotilla incident ? Israeli are always right even when they are cold blood killers. Commandos attackers equipped with full weaponry defending themselves from people armed with sticks .Their live were threatened as usual ,but none of them get killed, just they kill 9 peace activists. Why should they attack this vessel at all?

I think democracy fair trail work on that and not something you might think happened, the left wingers make everyone sick, the next step will be banning them legislat law that banned them, much like the extreme right wingers also extreme left winger should be outlawed, and if anyone involved will be send to jail.
4. Sadly, Obama - not Beiden - has no respect for the rulings
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (06.03.10)
of Israel's Supreme Court, and it is Obama's face of the present US administration, not that of Beiden...yet! Obama had no respect for Israel's Supreme Court's rulings on Jerusalem, on villages in Samaria and Judea and on the Security Fence. In his words and actions, Obama expressed disrespect of one of Israel's most important symbols of renewed Jewish sovereignty in the Jewish ancestral homeland of Eretz Israel (Land of Israel). Can Jews still support him after a full year of hostility towards the Jewish people's national home...??!!
5. Serious?
Isabella ,   Unknown   (06.03.10)
On that picture you see three kind of old and fat men holding a bat to protect pirates to enter the ship. Get serious this was in International waters, those people on board were no terrorists, however quite a few of these people who only wanted to give aid to gaza died. Quite strange isn't it? Let's hope the Rachel Corrie arrives safely.
6. International waters
Dave   (06.03.10)
Israel has no right to take collective action against anyone. After all this aggression was performed in international waters in the early hours. Israel's propaganda machine stating the activists ties to terrorist groups ..(El qeada) etc, and they fought with slingshots and sticks is pathetic. There are numerous dead and injured on the activists side, and pray tell how bandades were used on the goon squad. The US needs to condemn this violence and move to the middle in their resolve to get both sides to stop. For Israel, it needs to focus less on the rockets coming from Gaza and more on the illegal settlements and racist acts they heap on the indigenous population on a daily basis.

Damn I find it hard to believe that you peace protesters in the talk backs have never been on a demonstation. Even in the 1980's in the UK peace protresters new when the acted violently they expected a violent response (i have to say often we chose that route prbably becaise we new the cops werent armed). It is part of the game and you choose if to play it. This is not Ghandi;s rules for passive resistance. The authorities of every country react to the level of violence they encounter simple as that. Secondly international water. Please do not be niave, in every case of attempts to attack nation states the same thing happens. 1,diplomatic attmepts. 2. Threats. 3 action as far away as you can from places where innocent bystanders can be hurt. Not one person who choose to travel in this flottila is an innocent bystander. it was clear from the get go what was going to happen. The idf even advertised their intentions.More over where there was no attempt to react with violence the idf did not use force. So please in the name of truth and peace inflaming the situation will only cost more lives. FInally if you believe in the rule of law it is worth while thinking that any soldier of police person will only do their job is they are allowed to protect themselves. These soldiers did not commit a massacre. Trust me if they had the death toll would have been in the hundreds. They simply protected themselve responding to an overwhelming force. They were following there orders. If you feel the order were illigitimate complain about the process but please mascres crimes against humanity, no one really believe the rehtoric and to be honest it means you cheapen these tools to when they are truly relevant

"One of the soldiers was even dropped over the side of the ship". He would have welcomed that! He was thrown onto a lower deck after being stabbed in the stomach and escaped further abuse by jumping into the sea. Michael
9. #6 - please get facts before posting ..
redbourn ,   Arad, Israel   (06.03.10)
or you just look foolish. Israel is 'technically' at war with Hamas. Checking the law before posting would have been easier and less embarrassing than removing egg from one's face. Michael
10. #5 - the Rachel Corrie will arrive safely in Ashdod
redbourn ,   Arad, Israel   (06.03.10)
because the passengers have promised non-violence. If you can't see the videos then please visit and optician ;-) Michael

Please review a history of the supreme court of Israel. It has many cases which it ruled against the state. The supreme court received and still receives many petitions from Palestinians as well and in many cases ruled to their favor. I also believe that the court ruled against the military a few times and that the military respected the ruling in most (I believe some it didn't). I'm not a law expert but I read somewhere that Israel is the only country in the world where the supreme court can alter/affect the military (this needs to be verified).

Well, Dave, I guess you ought to understand that the Jews "are" the indigneous aboriginal population of the Holy Land. Arabs come from Arabia, Jews from Judea. There has never been a time since antiquity (not a day, not a week, not a month, not a year) when the land there lacked Jews who are the "Indians" and not the "cowboys." Of all extant Peoples, the Jewish People has the strongest claim to be aboriginal to Israel. As for the "Palestinian People," under that particular name, they entered history after 1948. But, whether they call themselves one or more of "Arabs" and "Palestinians" and "Muslims", their claims to the lands there are clearly "second in time" and subject to the prior rights of the Jewish People. And, as for the Turks who seem so eager to interfere with the Jewish homeland, the Turks are not even indigenous to the Middle East. They weren't even in Turkey until the late 11th century, while the Jews are indigenous to the Middle East, aboirignal to Israel and have been living there in greater or lesser numbers continuously for more than 3,000 years. In which country do the inhabitants have a better claim to their homeland than the Jewish People?

Oh dear, you must have very very bad eyesight if you cant see that the IDF commandos were attacked by the YOUNG "activists" before they reached the deck from the ropes ((from the helicopters)

Read & learn; The Helsinki Principles on Law of Maritime Neutrality. "Merchant ships flying the flag of a neutral State may be attacked if they are believed on reasonable grounds to be carrying contraband or breaching A BLOCKADE & AFTER PRIOR WARNING they intentionally & clearly REFUSE TO STOP, or intentionally & clearly RESIST, visit, search, capture or diversion." The activists on that ship had hand grenades, knives, metal rods & stole the guns of the IDF commandos.
