1. Of much, much importance are the following words:
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (06.04.10)
"The world is outraged at Israel's blockade of Gaza. Turkey denounces its illegality, inhumanity, barbarity, etc. The usual U.N. suspects, Third World and European, join in. The Obama administration dithers "But as Leslie Gelb, former president of the Council on Foreign Relations, writes, the blockade is not just perfectly rational, it is perfectly legal. Gaza under Hamas is a self-declared enemy of Israel -- a declaration backed up by more than 4,000 rockets fired at Israeli civilian territory. Yet having pledged itself to unceasing belligerency, Hamas claims victimhood when Israel imposes a blockade to prevent Hamas from arming itself with still more rockets". http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/06/03/AR2010060304287.html
2. confused
Dina ,   UK   (06.04.10)
Sorry but I'm not sure taht I understand."has not been able to contact the ship since late Thursday night, adding it may indicate that Israel sabotaged the radio system." BUT "However, another activist aboard the "Rachel Corrie" said he was not aware of any change in the original plan" So which one is it?
3. Viva Rachel Corrie
Paula ,   Spain   (06.04.10)
4. More proof of intent
Jacob Erickson ,   Holon, Israel   (06.04.10)
Yet more proof of intent that this is not a humanitarian mission, but one to spark an incident seeing as though they won't make the journey without a gang of international journalists going with them.
5. blame it on the jews!!!
jew ,   canada   (06.04.10)
they are use to it...
6. sorry children of gaza - no toys for you
Rachel Horry ,   LA   (06.04.10)
without press coverage there's no point in delivering your aid
7. To bad if she returns back
Lioness ,   Israel   (06.04.10)
I was hoping we will sink her!
8. Israel we stand with you
blackburn ,   Vancouver, Canada   (06.04.10)
Be smart, be wary, be vigilant, don't be proud, get even.
9. No Press = No Aid to Gaza?!?!
Christy ,   Boston, US   (06.04.10)
I thought the point of this exercise was to show solidarity with the Gazans and bring the food, medical supplies (and guns&ammo on the QT?). The absence of publicity, due to press ship problems, will stop something that's supposedly all about helping the Gazans? Seems it's more important the press be there to record the largess. If the press can't be there - why bother??!!
10. ouestion:
cosmopolitan   (06.04.10)
are'nt the supposed to bring AID and food to the poor children of GAZA who would die if they won't bring it as soon as posible????? they postpone it only because the MEDIA isn't there? well,it sounds wirred to me...
11. Have you read anywhere that Israel admitted to sabotage?
redbourn ,   Arad, Israel   (06.04.10)
"According to Bomse, Israel admitted to resorting to "grey" measures to stop the flotilla". I haven't read about this anywhere and surely it would be headline news everywhere. If anyone has a link to info then please post it. Thanks, Michael
12. More proof?
LMG   (06.04.10)
OR.. and more likely, reporters to report how Israel reacts first hand, so we can get the full story and not what the government wants you to think
13. Sabotaging the supporters of terrorists is noble
Go Israel! ,   USA   (06.04.10)
14. Oooooo.... spookily mysterious damage!
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (06.04.10)
Hmmmm... strange how there are no details about just exactly what this "damage" is. Also strange that these people don't have a satellite phone .... like, they know it's a sea mission and just about any joker who wants to stay in touch in the middle of the sea rents or owns a sat-phone. And, of course, the fact that they can't deliver aid to the poor starving Gazans without cameras rolling from the handpicked "journalists" with them... most like a combination of Al-Jazeera, Al-Jazeera, Al-Jazeera, and a few freelance lefties. Makes you wonder if the ship carries the same intentions as the namesake... publicity first, "humanitarian aid" second....
15. Turkey has emerged as the engine behind the illegal...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (06.04.10)
...attempt to break the lawful blockade on the Islamist controlled and Iran's front base-territory of the Gaza Strip. Practically, having been rejected from joining the EU, Turkey, the same country that was responsible for the Armenian people genocide and for the mass murder of hundreds of thousands of Kurdish people, within and without Turkey, has opted to instead join as a leading force the Muslim world and expand its hegemony in the Middle East and beyond. In order to prove its loyalty to its future "subjects", so goes the Turkish thinking, Turkey began to collaborate with some of the darkest political forces in Islam, e.g. IHH within Turkey and Hamas without, as well as with the Iran-Hizballah-IslamicJihad-Hamas-Syria coalition that is openly intent to wipe Israel off the face of earth and the map. This "Gaza Flotilla" was orchestrated, paid for and manned by Turkey and Turkish thugs, based on hard evidence that is emerging, now that the boats have been brought to port. The people who were to pay for ushering of Turkey into its new position in the world of Islam are, once again, the Jews; the Jews of Israel and the nation-state of the Jewish people as a whole. And this simply can't be permitted.
16. QUESTION:
Debra ,   australia   (06.04.10)
Are'nt they supposed to send AID to the poor children of gaza???? why postpone it because of the MEDIA? poeple are dieing there and you think about the MEDIA?
17. Rachel Corrrie sabotage
Anon ,   Israel   (06.04.10)
Lets see the boats were docked in Cypress when the radios and other ship systems accompaning her were"sabotaged", yet Israel is to blame...sounds like an inside job to me, trying to cast responsibility towards Israel. What now should a person on the ship come down sick, or trip and fall is Israel to blame as well? Heck If the world is going to blame Israel for everything why not the oil spill off Louisiana, or the increased number of earthquakes around the world too? The facts are people Radio equipment on boats are exposed to salt water which corrodes wires and other things, and maybe it was an act of Gd to show the people of the world that those who act against Israel by supporting terrorists act against him!
18. This could be a third fabrication
Nour ,   One State   (06.04.10)
The second one, that the ship might agree to dock in Esdood, was a lie circulated by Haaretz and part of a psychological war on the humanitarian convoy. Why then must we believe this one? In short this is wishful thinking. The end of the illegal sea and air blockade is coming to an end. A Turkish newspaper quoted IHH that a 30 ship Florilla (Freedom 2) is sailing in several weeks to Palestine.
19. A flotilla of primadonnas from Ireland
Cynthia ,   USA   (06.04.10)
Can imagine them swooning over the Israeli Navy Seals. Do us all a favor and go back to Ireland. Stop pestering Israel. Nothing to do with aid to the Palestinians. It never is.
20. #11 My thoughts exactly, Michael
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (06.04.10)
21. "political activists" better of "peace activist"
NO MEDIA= NO AID   (06.04.10)
22. I think thats a good idea because if you
Eric..... ,   Israel.....   (06.04.10)
come looking for trouble, you wll find it.Ships comeing into gaza port with rockets and guns, cannot be allowed period. There is not person dying of hunger in gaza. The ship wants too bring in what ever, come to our port first .We will deliver it for you with pleasure.
23. #18 Florilla? Sounds like some kind of..
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (06.04.10)
...bacteria
24. peace flotilla
avi ,   haifa   (06.04.10)
first of all no israeli authority admitted sabotageing the ships in Cyprus. Maybe the real peace activists -organisers- simply don't want to be identified with the turkish thug-ship
25. Nour
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (06.04.10)
"A Turkish newspaper quoted IHH that a 30 ship Florilla (Freedom 2) is sailing in several weeks to Palestine. " Then it's sailing to never-never land, a non-existent country, so we need not worry about it.
26. According to CNN report
steve ,   Israel   (06.04.10)
Former Assistant U.N. Secretary-General Denis Halliday aboard the “Rachel Corrie” ship bound for Gaza: "We will stand back and show we are harmless and unarmed -- we will put up no resistance," he said. "We're not going to make any silly mistakes."
27. Re: the Press
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.04.10)
So they want the press with them - - - but only on different ships... So that they could manage the news and let them see only what they wanted them to see?
28. The floptilla
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.04.10)
... is clearly trying to salvage its dignity. Kind of hard to do, because it never had any. They're not getting past the Israeli Navy. I mean -- really -- that's what a blockade is all about. This blockade is fully legal. And something tells me that the cowards and thugs in the floptilla are interested only in press coverage. No point otherwise, right? Humanitarianism? From who, terrorists?
29. sorry fathers of gaza
Jacob ,   Paris   (06.04.10)
No toys (bombs) for you
30. The Rachel Corrie
Leah ,   Israel   (06.04.10)
Is an Irish boat. Ireland are not satisfied that they have stopped terrorism there, so they decided to float it over here. Hope she sinks!
