1. separate Berlin into East and West
nadav ,   tlv   (06.07.10)
Wester Germany annexed East Germany without so much as a referendum, who says that East Germans wanted to live in the FRG? Same goes fro Taiwan and Tibet, are they listed separately? How about Kosovo, is it listed under Serbia? Or Abkhazia and South Ossetia, or Kashmir, where are they listed under? The list goes on and on, but ONLY Israel is treated separately- as usual!
2. "must now choose"
Asher ,   ISRAEL   (06.07.10)
That is what you think. I do not have to do no such thing. I have cancelled my Yahoo account and advise all to follow and is using another source for weather updates. I am in the process of getting Apple to allow me to DELETE Yahoo from my iPhone.
3. Whose fault? When was last time YOU...

objected to embassies in Tel Aviv? protested to Israeli gov't against embassies in Tel Aviv? protested demanding why American presidents keep deferring Congressional order to move embassy to Yerushalayim? protested in front of foreign embassies against being in Tel Aviv? protested to CNN, BBC & Fox weather reports implying Tel Aviv is capital? Why should they think an indivisible Yerushalayim is important to us? What's an acceptable excuse? 4. Anyone?
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.07.10)
Anyone know how/to whom to write to complain about this? I for instance use Yahoo. I could easily switch to gmail or another on line email service. So could all who believe that this is wrong. So how do we go about notifying Yahoo/ipod that this is a possibility?
5. 4 Excellent Question
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (06.07.10)
One suggestion: Google -- NOT Yahoo -- google apple yahoo war That will generate many forums to get you started in raising these issues and voicing your opinion where it will circulate. Probably you can branch out from these even further. Kol tov.
6. Good
Joshua ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (06.07.10)
I think it's a good thing. The city will be divided when the Palestinians get their state anyway. May as well get ready for it.
7. #6 Josh, too late to divide
Historical Observer ,   USA   (06.07.10)
Jersusalem began as one city, was divided during the war, and was reunited by Israel. Reasonably, it would be difficult to draw a border and separate the sides after all this time. Jewish communities continue to grow and thrive in the eastern areas of the capital. It is a pipe dream of the refugees to believe they will be able to divide the city. They should focus their attention on grabbing land in Jordan.
8. #6 you are very sick person

9. Yahoo Weather
Kathy Chriqui ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (06.08.10)
Worse than Yahoo is MSN Weather which does not list Jerusalem as a city in Israel! Jerusalem is a separate region and the city in this region is Zova. What's a Zova?
10. Weather
Marty ,   USA   (06.08.10)
Yahoo and Google are both steeped in far-left delusions. Best choices for iPhone are Weatherbug or Accuweather.com. .Apps are free, maps are great and Jerusalem is in Israel. On MSN, if you type in Jerusalem, ISR, Jerusalem comes up. Zova is/was a Kibbutz on a hill overlooking the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv road which was the site of a major battle in the 48 war. Maps are better on The Weather Channel than Weatherbug. Accuweather does not show maps outside of North America.

Google and Yahoo are now one :( They have joined together to control more of the 'ether'. Also Facebook and Yahoo are now working as one - I just had to delete all personal info on Yahoo that I don't want showing up on Facebook - to which I have never belonged and have no intention of joining .
12. Zova is a kibbutz outside of Jeursalem.

I made a research on internet, it seems that It is the kibbutz Tsuva, near Jerusalem.

Hello Everyone; Your government's racist and facist like behavior is helping the Palestinians every day get more international support. You either give us all of our rights, or the world will take it from you and give back our rights. I am from Ein Kerem Jerusalem and the conflict will not end until my property is restored Peace
18. 11 Good point, Corporate interrelationships
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (06.08.10)
It may still be pending anti-trust review, but, if I understand it correctly, Google has tentatively (conditional upon anti-trust approval) sold access to some of their paid ads to allow Yahoo to display them and earn a commission on hits. However, this is not different from buying an HP laser printer (perhaps because one doesn't like Canon for some reason) and then discovering that your HP laser printer has a Canon engine in it. The automotive industry has long been replete with this kind of interrelationships. (For the record, I prefer Canon; have a scanner and camera and very pleased with both.) I haven't looked into it very deeply for lack of time and other priorities, however, my initial impression is that when one clicks on a Yahoo paid ad, some of the income may go to Google--but I haven't (yet) seen that the converse is true. They are still two different, and competing, companies and using Google instead of Yahoo still has an effect. Thanks for bringing up their entanglement. They're certainly in bed together to a certain extent even though they remain competitors. I think the idea is to discourage new competition. Certainly you're right to the extent that if you're not in their network, you're out of the loop. Sharing the personal information seems to me to be an even worse development. What they're doing, even though they remain competitors, is setting up syndicates of networks using an "opt in" approach that first shares the information by slipping the option by users' attention, then, later, when forced and the damage has already been done, putting the "opt out" back in place. The only defense is to carefully and meticulously review and controll ALL of the settings in any, and every, account one has on the web. The controls are usually there, but often artfully concealed--oops, I mean de-emphasized. Another aspect is that if one account is hacked, it means access to all of the info in related accounts in the network. Something I forgot to include in my earlier message: in foreign forums be prepared for far more intense and blatant "Helen Thomas" misojudaism (even open advocates of Naziism). When I nailed down an argument in the Economist about a year ago, for example, simple--they refused to publish it and deleted my earlier post. Oh yeah, The Economist is "intellectual." For those with arts degrees and IQs under 110. So don't expect free speech when it contradicts misojudaism--even when it's incontrovertibly documented historical fact. It's far tougher going out there so don't be discouraged. Fighting the good fight is better than being led like a lamb to slaughter. And you improve your skills with experience... and there's only one way to get experience. Thanks for the alert. It's a serious trend that each user should constantly monitor and control or there can be serious personal--even financial or identity--consequences. Go forth and conquer. 19. Alas, US Big Business recognizing Reality
Nadir ,   Palestine   (06.10.10)
This has been reality since the Oslo process started. West Jerusalem to Israel, East Jerusalem to Palestine, with minor land swaps to the West Bank and a safe passage between WB and Gaza. Also, I think the term "West Bank" is long overdue for replacement. It insults Palestine as merely the Western backyard of the British-created Hashemite Fiefdom of Jordan. It is downright insulting. Therefore I think Palestinian media and officials should immediately tackle the geographic naming of the new various districts/zones of the country. Personally I would prefer :"Palestine-North" for West Bank and "Palestine-Coast" for Gaza strip. The term "strip" is demeaning, and recalls decades of bloodshed and the open-air prison. I remember some Palestinian newspapers were using Northern/Southern governorates terms prior to the 2001 mess, although not sure if they still use it. One thing is for sure: No more of the "West Bank" insult. OPT is more appropriate, until Israel withdraws.
20. One more thing...
Nadir ,   Palestine   (06.10.10)
A few weeks ago I was appalled to see an Israeli settlement tagged "Israel" in Google Earth. I immediately wrote Google Earth an email demanding they cease to refer to any illegal settlement deep in Palestine's Northern area as "Israel" - but by Palestine. Also, they should identify all towns in Palestine by their Arabic name as per their Arab country norms. I'm glad to see them correcting this bug. International law must be respected by everyone.
21. REead the Torah, Read the Bible, Read the Koran
Steven ,   USA   (06.14.10)
I am really disapointed with the propaganda spread throughout the world by the media. Muslims have nothing t0 do with the Holy Land. The Jewish and Christian bibles endlessly state that the Holy Land belongs to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob ( the Jewish people). The Koran also states that the Holy Land belongs to the Children of Israel (the Jewish people). Surah 5 Verse 20 states " Remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, when He produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the peoples". Surah 17 Verse 104 states "O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah hath assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin". Surah 5 Verse 20 "And We said thereafter to the Children of Israel, "Dwell securely in the land (of promise)": but when the second of the warnings came to pass, We gathered you together in a mingled crowd".
22. International law
here me out   (06.07.11)
The 1947 plan of partition was never accepted since the arabs rejected it therefore it cannot even be related to, 2nd, Jordan has illegaly occupied east Jerusalem in 48, only the UK and Pakistan recognized that occupation. prior to the partition plan the only valid accepted paper is the Balfour declaration and the British mandate that stated to give the land to the Jews, accepted both by league of nations and the UN. Therefore east jerusalem status is "disputable" and not "occupied" therefore Geneba stuff are irrelevant.
