The total amount of "aid supply" unloaded from the five ships previously intercepted legally by Israel's policing action when the flotilla attempted to break the legal blockade imposed on Gaza was 20 truck-loads of goods. Israel, DAILY, delivers more than 100 truck-loads of goods into the Gaza Strip, and that does not include the regular flow of fuel, electricity and water. Thus, when placed in the proper context it becomes obvious the intent has never been to deliver aid to the civilian population of Gaza but to assist its islamist rulers, Hamas, in breaking the blockade so as to enable Hamas to take delivery of illicit weapons, ammunition, explosives, rockets, missiles and other material to assist in the preparation of Iran, Hamas's patron, to enhance its launching pad in Gaza, on Israel's border, as part of its attempt to wipe the UN member state of Israel off the face of earth and with it the nearly six-million "Zionists" whose national home is Israel... I am sorry some naive people abroad refuse to see the reality that is facing them!!!

Because the 'Rachel Corrie' is an Irish owned vessel I've read a lot of comments about the Irish and Ireland on ynet over the past few days posted by Israeli people and supporters of Israel. Most of these comments have been insulting and derogatory towards the Irish. Why this is i dont know as the Rachel Corrie has nothing to do with the Irish public and the Irish government has never sought to enflame the situation or incite hatred or support terrorism. All it is has done is try to ensure the safety of the lives of those onboard the vessel, and ask that they don’t end up dead (shot in the head by the IDF). I’m proud of my Governments approach to the whole situation, they acted professionally and showed a lot of restraint, integrity and dignity. So, because there has been so many comments about Ireland and the Irish on this website over the past few days I thought I would let readers know what the Irish really think of Israel. What is the average Irishman or Irish womans opinion on Israel? Well, they don’t have one! Irish people know nothing of Israel. Apart from an informed few that have an opinion 95% of people here would not be able to identify Israel on a map of the middle east. Sure, they’ve heard about Israel on the news and seen the headlines but people here have absolutely no interest whatsoever! People in Ireland know about Europe, America and Australia, that’s about it. If you asked a young Irish person on the street to describe Israel their response would be; ‘some s*#t hole in the middle east’. They know nothing about it and don’t want to, their too busy with their own lives! The average Irish person knows 3 things about the middle east. 1) it’s where oil comes from 2) There’s loads of sand there 3) Egypt is a really cool place to go on vacation to because you get to see the pyramids! So that’s as much as the Irish know and want to know about Israel. Simply, THEY DON’T CARE!! On the contrary, from what I’ve read here Israeli people seem to know so much about Ireland (well at least they think they do anyway) but all the comments I’ve read are of a negative nature. Israeli people are extremely vile in their comments and have such foul mouths its unbelievable! They talk about Ireland being a place rampant with paedophiles, being a nation of raging drunkards, being economically backward and being a supporter of Terrorism. None of these things could be further from the truth. And why all of these disgusting comments? Well simply because the Irish government has publicly stated that they expect that those bunch of misfits on the Rachel Corrie are not shot dead and also that some humanitarian aid be allowed get though to those non-terrorists (ordinary folks – not Hamas) who are genuinely suffering in the Gaza Strip. From the events of the last few days and from reading ynetnews I’ve learned a good deal about Israeli people. They have vile tongues, they are extremely arrogant and have little class about them, they are bent on continuing the inhumane situation in Gaza, they hate Ireland and the Irish and they have few (if any) friends.
