After failing to get into the EU, Turkey seeks power elsewhere. Of course, the key to success [with the Islamic/Arab world] is abasing Israel. Diplomatic relations first? The real story in this, isn't this investigation. It's already a goldstone in the making (hopefully) sans a Jewish puppet.... However, the point here is that Erdogan badly wants to break diplomatic relations with Israel and maybe even be in a situation to face Israel in direct military conflict. Yet this isn't that simple. While Turkey is indeed in NATO, it is also a country that refused to support the US during it's invasion of Iraq and refused US troops use of Turkish airbases, and I believe that they are also blocking American use of Turkish airfields for use in Afghanistan. Also Turkey's rapprochement with Syria-Iran axis is a problematic development again with Turkey, because of the joint military drills held between the Syrian and Turkish forces. As this is basically a NATO member actively displaying NATO armaments (in particular American weapon systems) to a country, Syria, which is actively exporting terrorists to attack and kill troops of another and most prominent NATO member, the US. There is also the consideration of a future military conflict between Israel and Turkey. Their are basically only two means for which Turkey can face directly against Israel. The first would be a sea invasion, but put simply in this world of modern air forces and in particular the IAF's reputation and equipment, that would be plainly stupid. That leaves the only other alternative, the land route through Syria (and technically Lebanon as well). The problem is that if Turkey were to station troops in Syria, this would basically force the US to throw out Turkey from NATO, leading to a Turkey basically dependent on Iran and Syria for weapons and support, which is minuscule compared to what NATO countries have in terms of technology and power. So the basic quandary for Turkey is how can it ally itself with Syria yet at the same time not get itself defenestrated from NATO headquarters in Brussels? Hence, this and other provocative actions. It needs a case where Israel breaks or Turkey itself breaks off relations but with Israel taking all the blame... If I were the Israeli gov't I would be watching this very carefully and see how Turkey is trying to play this...

Turkey's mind is made up and doesn't want to be confused with the facts. They want an open war of arabs vs Israel, then the rest of the world, and will do anything to get it.

If you are referring to the one bullet mentioned that contained shotgun like pellets, it could have very well been 9mm. There is a product here that has been marketed under the name "Glasser Safety Slugs" This is a special round that has a metal jacket with a plastic tip. Inside the jacket are very small pellets. The purpose is to expand quickly and to not penetrate deeply. It was designed to be used in situations where over penetration could be a problem. Inside aircraft, in apartment complexes where a stray bullet could go through a wall and hurt innocent people in other rooms etc. It is a good product that helps to eliminate collateral damage and that is it's purpose.
