the fact that a group of peace activists could have killed these soldiers at any moment but didn't shows that the use of lethal force by Israel was disproportionate in this case. However, a big hole in Israel's argument is the fact that not one person on that boat who were taken prisoner by Israel has been charged with any criminal offence. International Law is quite clear: After the Captain refused to change course, Israel has the legal right to sink the ship. The presumption is that he is intentionally running the blockade because he is bringing weapons (like the Karine A), soldiers (which he did) or money for Hamas (which he did).
