John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (06.06.10)
Israel, be very careful about the ship that is coming from Lebanon. You know who is sending it, the Rat King himself. And he is full (one could also write fool..) of tricks. Be careful. Be very careful. Don't be arrogant, don't be too quick and self assured, be careful.
2. One can only wonder if the IDF and IAF did nothing wrong
Pierre S. ,   Oslo-Norway   (06.06.10)
Then why on earth does the israeli government reject an international probe in this matter?
3. PM rejects UN call for probe
Abby ,   OP,KS   (06.06.10)

6. Talk about Hypocracy!
Doug ,   Rochester, USA   (06.06.10)
If Netanyahu wants to establish the facts "objectively and responsibly",, then why is he opposed to this commission? And why will he not release the videos confiscated by the IDF?
7. Painted Corner
Paul ,   Albuquerque, USA   (06.06.10)
When you've painted yourself into a terrible corner, it seems the only thing available to you is to declare how wonderful and fine it is, how there is no place you'd rather be. Israel is nearly isolated, and must change in order to extricate itself. The tide of public opinion has turned.
8. Good. IHH-terror boats need inestigation in turkey
G ,   NYC US   (06.06.10)
9. dumb
daniel ,   israel   (06.06.10)
i find it patently dumb that they would not allow this inquiry. if the world wants to waste money on this, let them. the government says it has nothing to hide, so why the mistrust?
10. #2 pisserre
Jrodstein ,   Basalt, Colorado   (06.06.10)
why on earth should there be an international probe when it is an obvious what happened. I'll spell it out since you need help! This was a planned provocation by Turkey and the islamist group ihh using suicide activists! why didn't ban call for international probe about N Korean sinking the S Korean navy boat. The answer is not just blowing in the wind but very obvious that the U.N. is very anti-Israel and anti-Jewish! Iran is the U.N.'s head of human rights for woman!?!? What are they gonna do let woman get wild by wearing a different color burka than black?!?! open your eyes and see the true picture, learn history or go back to the dark ages and change history for your liking the arabs do!
11. Bibi not as wishy-washy as first term.
Janice Cohen ,   ירושלים   (06.06.10)
Good for him. Now all he needs is a few military victories under his belt.
12. To #2
Alex ,   Toronto, Canada   (06.06.10)
Isn't it obvious? Because no matter what Israelis did or didn't do they will be condemned. Just check other commissions and investigations that happened in the past.
13. Turkey?
Alex ,   Toronto, Canada   (06.06.10)
The country that provoked this incident and commited an act of war against Israel in the process by trying to breake a legitimate blockade will be investigating? Just when you think you've seen it all...
14. Need international enquiry into Turkish gov. involvement
Mike ,   Oxford UK   (06.06.10)
The IHH is a terrorist organisation with close links to al-quaeda according to CIA, Israel and Denmark. International enquiry must examine to what extent Erdogan and his Islamic party where involved in their martyrdom operation to Gaza.
15. Only an IDIOT would let the UN (Arab League) probe!
the UN is ,   controlled by ISLAM   (06.06.10)
16. Netanyahu and the seven idiots
JJ   (06.06.10)
If he really wants an objective probe, Israel is first to be excluded.
17. inquiry
avi ,   haifa   (06.06.10)
first there shold be an inquiry into the UN itself! how come that during it's existence it did not!!!!! prevent one armed conflict on this globe. how come the UN was unable to prevent massacres - really ones - like biafra, ruanda, the balkans, darfhur and so on? as an israeli i would be most interested in it's handling of resolution 1704, with no disarmed Hisbullah and their illegal military presence in south lebanon. personally i think that the paper of UN resolutions or documents of an inquiry into the "martryrdom" of a few crazed and armed thugs is mot worth the trees that have to be felled for such papers.
18. Oh gee, just when Goldstein is unemployed, needs the money.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (06.06.10)
19. Oslo Pierre
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (06.06.10)
No one would object to an international probe if it were a genuinely impartial one! The UN has never been impartial. Further, have you not noticed how the world at large has rushed forth to condemn Israel out of hand, long before any "probe"?
20. Bravo Netanyahu !!
Shai Moyal ,   Israel   (06.06.10)
Nobody probes the Russian invasion of Georgia, including the thousands of civiliand murdered in the process. Nobody probes the atrocities done by China in Tibet. Nobody probes the tens of thousands murdered by China in the Uyghur Muslim region. Nobody probes the thousands of Ba'hai and Sunni murdered by the Jihadist regime in Iran. Nobody probes the thousands of civilians killed in Afghanistan by US and NATO troops. Nobody probes the nuclear infestation of the Pacific Ocean by the French colonialism. Nobody probes the thousands of whales murdered by the Norwegians. But everybody blames and demonizes Israel for defending itself and its natural and legal rights against the provocation of terrorist organizations and the Turkish Act of War. So how can anybody regard the UN, its Human Rights bodies and its Security Council as credible, dependable, balanced and organization representing what is good in mankind? Ever since the US opened its arms to thirld world dictatorships and terrorist organizations, it lost its purpose and its leadership status. Today, the UN is nothing but a gang of corrupt and racist puppets, led by the worst tyrannies in the world whose decisions are dictated by the most bloodthirsty dictators and human rights offenders. It is not only Israel who suffers from this situation - it is the entire (remaining) Free World. Those who participate and approve of the hypocritical US demonization of Israel are nothing but suicidal collaborators with evil - unless they happen to be Muslim, in which case, the UN is even better than the Arab League, where the mutual tribal and religious hatred, and Dark Ages style bickering and violence prevents them to rach any common decision that would bring Islam out of its poverty, misery, backwardness and cruelty into the modern age. I despise the UN and what it represents today and I ignore its "resolutions" and racist and vicious and biased "probes".
21. Number 2
Dr. Seth Grossman ,   Brooklyn NY   (06.06.10)
Nobody would willingly subject themselves to an investigation by a biased tribunal which has predetermined the outcome. Does anybody really think that this so called investigation would exonerate Israel and blame Turkey, despite that the case for blaming Turkey is much stronger than the case against Israel? Your question is akin to asking why a black person accused of raping a white woman would not want to submit to an impartial investigation by a pre civil rights era southern sheriff.
22. Flotilla
Marilyn ,   USA   (06.06.10)
It has always been Israel's number one problem is that it does not know how to stand. It's the strongest position. However Israel more often then not just reacts and starts doing weird stuff instead. This was weird-admit it. Israel is so afraid of getting knocked down (and is well is kind of unorganized) that it doesn't try the old true and tried ways.
23. Boo Boo is scared!
Resistor   (06.06.10)
24. Natanyahu is wrong again; it's the UN's call for int'l probe
observer   (06.06.10)
The UNSC calls for a prompt, impartial, credible and transparent investigation conforming to international standards.
25. #21 - the doctor: your accusing ban ki moon/the UN of racism
eporue ,   europe   (06.06.10)
26. Zionist Israel and Palestine
Jack Haesly ,   Austin, Texas, USA   (06.06.10)
It is clear after sixty years of crisis Palestine and Zionist Israel cannot resolve their differences. Therefore, both countries should be disbanded by the International Courts and the entire area declared the "International Territory of Holiness and Religious Freedom" and have it be administered by an elected international consortium of scholars. Further, by Constitutional decree, governing the area, declare religious war or war of any kind unlawful. Further, do not allow the new religious territory to form armies of any kind and nuclear bomb capability to be banned forever.
27. INQUIRIES, COMMISSIONS, INVESTIGATIONS ??
ABRAHAM ben JACOB ,   CANADA   (06.07.10)
WHY DO THEY NEED ONLY TO INVESTIGATE ISRAEL. INVESTIGATE THE PROMOTERS OF THE FLOTILLA, THE FOREIGN PEOPLE BEHIND THIS. THE FOREIGN SHIPS TRAVELLED A LONG JOURNEY JUST FOR TROUBLE. IT'S NOT ISRAELIS WHO ARE SAILING ON FLOTILLAS TO OTHER FOREIGN SHORES. AND MORE SHIPS COMING ? RIDICUOUS !
28. INVESTIGATE THE FOREIGNERS, SHIPS, TURKS !!
ABRAHAM ben JACOB ,   CANADA   (06.07.10)
THIS SEEMS MORE LIKE COMMON SENSE EVEN THOUGH MANY IN THE WORLD TRY TO GET ON THE ANTI-ISRAEL BANDWAGON. PEOPLE ARE EXTREMELY ENVIOUS OF ISRAEL'S INDEPENEDENCE AND ISRAEL'S MANY ACHIEVEMENTS DESPITE OF THE MANY ADVERSITIES. ENVY LEADS TO HATRED, IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY. ISRAEL OWES NO ONE AN EXPLANATION. IT IS THE MANY OTHERS, INCLUDING THE SHIPS PEOPLE WHO NEED TO EXPLAIN TO ISRAEL WHAT THEY ARE DOING HERE AND WHY ARE THEY COMING HERE FROM FAR AWAY AND TO DO WHAT ??
