they stop being your ally. Keep it up Israel and every kid on the block will kick you out of the sandbox no matter what candies are offered as bribes by Poppa USA.

4. Arrogance and stupidity
hasan yilmaz ,   istanbul   (06.07.10)
since the expulsion of the jewish from spain turks has welcomed and treated jewish with utmost respect. They have never been humiliated during the ottoman and turkish era. . and you kill the turkish civilians on the international waters the feeling towards the jewish people is that turks feel betrayed. they are trying very hard to distinguish the israeli government from the jewish people. i think arrogance is bringing the end of the present government.
5. No idea, but the Mossad has sent some large messages...

to its agents in Turkey through its HF communications network recently...
6. Coincidences ...
Antonio ,   Spain   (06.07.10)
There are several matches these last weeks around Turkey and Iran. First, all international papers said Teheran is able to build his first nuke probably this year. Later, the 'flotilla' appears crowed of Turkish people (!?) ready to break Gaza blockade ... Perhaps it's not a coincidence, but think about this: Turkey is scared about Iran's nuke power, and it could be a target of it ... How prevent it? Becoming an another Irael's 'victim'
7. Coincidences of Antonio
Sancho Pancho ,   Turkey   (06.07.10)
No way... Iran can never launch a nuclear missile against Turkey. First, they don't want the region's strongest army to march from the border. Especially in this time of need for friends. Iran can't even hurt a bird of Turkey. Second, there are around 90 NATO nuclear misilles stationed in Turkey. Third, in any case Turks are not afraid of Iran and this kind of action is totally contrary to the characteristics of Turks.
8. Don't Worry, Be Happy,,,soon Iran itself will come to you
Salma ,   Palestine   (06.07.10)
Believe it or not ! Iran's Revolutionary Guard Offers To escort flotillas, to break the siege on Gaza :) Is navy ready?!!

The moment Turkey elected an Islamist to power signals the end of Turkish-Israeli special relationship. The recent Naval raid is only an alibi.
10. Consequences
Chris Linthwaite   (06.07.10)
The current leadership of Israel believes they can do what they want when they want and that there will be no consequences. The fact this important asset is in Turkey and is so important to Israel doesn't seem to have been factored in when Netanyahu authorised the murder of Turkish civilians in International waters.
11. To #7 'Sancho Pancho' ... very funny
Antonio ,   Spain   (06.07.10)
If your nick is a joke of Sancho Panza, character of Don Quijote de la Mancha, it's a poor and sad nick. Otherwise, Turkey is in fact a NATO's member, but Turks are famous for a double moral and doubled faced acts: this is the most dangerous feature of Turks. Turkey belongs to NATO because its strategical position against arab countries, but YOU'RE arabs and more radical muslims day after day. The face of 'progressive muslims' is falling down slowly, and the other face that appears is not relaxing at all. THESE are you 'characteristics' ... Your birds (the feathered ones) perhaps are on safe, but I think your 'jacketed' birds are preferring Iran instead of Israel as 'collaborator'
12. #10 When you believe your own lies,
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (06.07.10)
Chris, it means your deluded. It's clear that this flotilla was a provocation with its VIOLENT 'peace activists' and its aid, EXPIRED medicines. They would have been blocked by whichever leadership of Israel. The blockade is legal as Hamas have declared war on Israel. Cargo destined for Gaza has to go through the appropriate channels. Period.
13. Seemed clear to me that

Turkey has already made its mind. A long time ago. The rest are cheap excuses that only few will buy.

16. Hasan Yilmaz - lets talk about arrogance
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (06.07.10)
1. Thanks for reminding again thet your ancestors welcomed mine from Spain 500 years ago. But don't tell me they have never been humiliated,. Your nation attacked teh Jews of Kirklareli in 1936 while the military watched it. Your government under the leadership of Sukru Saracoglu passed the Varlik Vergisi confiscating all wealth of Jews sending elderly to Askale labor camp and the young men to Afyon Labor camp in 1941, My parents and relatives were among them. But I am old enough to remember the September 6-7 riots in Istanbul and Izmir. 2. And let me remind you that if your country is enjoying a booming economy without a US embargo today you owe a big thank you to Israel. Hasan bey; Jews and Israelis also are feeling betrayed and trying to make a distinction between the secular modern ATATURKCU civilized Turks and those who are swimming to the flow of AKP and the yobaz IHH.

Isn't it disfunctional to keep citing todays feeling of hurt with something that happened years ago? This would spare the Palestinians having to play the unfortunate role of being on the butt end of constant revenge by Zionists for agressions in the Jewish past that's is over, finished, nada, gone. Then we would know the victimhood of Palestine for what it is. And the humanitarian intent of the flotilla would be known for it's civil society nobleness. Terrorism would disappear, because we would see resistance as a cry for legitimate national rights. And Israel would learn how to feel again and Palestine would be free. Israel will learn this lesson very slowly, but be ready for more and more boats. Because international civil society is waking from it's slumber and there's not a force in the world that can stop this. Let alone hasbara name calling.
