Everyone has a right to their opinion, but most know when and when not to voice it. When it takes the form of despicable hate speech, you have to expect a backlash. You can attend her big retirement blast. Oh, wait -- there won't be one. She's not going out with a bang -- she's crawling off into oblivion with a whimper. Sweet.

your the one fool that needs to read up on history, anyone that is that one-sided against Israel is obviously anti-semitic, prejudice and hateful!!!

Because she is an American citizen who said it in the United States. We cannot extend the rule of American law over non-resident foreigners, but we sure as hell can extend it over American citizens residing in the United States. And that is PRECISELY what happened. Hate speech is a crime.
95. Good Riddance to Anti Semitic Rubbish
Mick Bates ,   Gotha, FL, USA   (06.08.10)
The Obama administration only got involved in this issue after Ari Fleisher, former press secretary of Pres Bush, got involved. If Fleisher had not initiated serious objections to her remaining as part of the White House Press Corps, Helen Thomas would have still been there with her anti-Israel, anti Semitic, pro Hezbollah attitude today. I say good riddance to Helen Thomas. Sometimes our mouths reveal our inner thoughts and she opened her mouth and did just that.

One must be a rabid, raving misojudaic to get top journalist jobs in world media... but if you fail to be skillfully subtle and insidious about it then you get canned. No, you'd need a B.A. English at least. Sorry. I write at the level of English I am accustomed to using in my every-day life. If you require clarification, just ask for it. I'll provide. That said, I'm not sure I understand your comment about Jerusalem. I would describe Jerusalem as a city that provides a home to the three major religions of the world -- Judaism, Christianity and Islam. But that does not make it an international city. It is not an international city. It is the eternal and undivided capital city of the State of Israel. Israel being a democracy, all persons are permitted to worship freely in Jerusalem. This was not the case between 1948 and 1967, when Jordan maintained control. Israel goes to extraordinary expense to maintain all the religious sites, and to provide protection for religious pilgrims of all faiths, particularly during holidays, when Palestinian terrorists would like nothing more than to produce a great heap of non-Jewish bodies. Please keep that in mind. Jerusalem belongs to Israel. But all who come in peace and fellowship are welcome. What a NICE change from the last thousand years or so.

1. The events of 9/11 are not what the US government tell you. Who flew the aircraft into the towers-and how did they do it? It wasn't the Saudis at the wheel. What hit the Pentagon-a drone or a missile? It was not and could not be a Boeing 757. 2. If Jerusalem is the undeniable capital of Israel, then why are there no foreign embassies there, including the USA, and why is not recognised as being the Israeli capital by any country??

of course Jerusalem is the capital city of Israel. and who cares if Arabs don't recognize Israel or Jerusalem? it just tells you that they are hateful and brain washed and never held an history book in their hands... and you, sara # 99, I believe it's time for you to take your medication.

Nigel ,   Canada   (06.09.10)
dominate the landscape of the Middle East...Arabs and Israelites and other tribes I mean. I think you didn't understand what she meant. I'll try to put it in a few words: Europeans (Even if they call themselves Jews) are not welcomed in that region when the land they live on was given by colonial powers to repair damages done to them by Europeans. It's like Joes tried to exterminate Bobs and when they got stoped from doing so by other Joes, Bobs sued Joes and won Habib's properties. Now good night Sarah, you and your evil eye! Lolsm

Jews lived in Israel before Arabs were even recognized as an entity. Thousands of years before. Arabs come from the Arabian peninsula. They are interlopers and squatters everywhere else. How welcome do YOU think Europeans were to the native Amerindians that populated Canada until you people massacred most of them? Israel has a dual identity. There is Israel the land and Israel the people. You cannot separate the two, no matter how you spin it. And -- there's the little matter of Israel being victorious in all six wars which were, as you surely know, started by the Arabs. You pays your money, you takes your chances. The Arabs did, and lost. Too, too bad. Can't put toothpaste back into the tube. Take a history course or two. You really need the education. Good night.
