I can't cite the source, but I do recall a previous study that said the same as this study (Polish Jews more related to mizrahi Jews that Poles, etc.) that also said the group Jews were closest to genetically were Palestine Arabs. Jews and Arabs need to recognize that we are cousins; and we need to treat each other like family. Imagine a confederation of Israel, West Bank/Gaza, and Jordan where each maintains their identity, but we cooperate economically, socially, etc. and respect each other without denying each others history.

The Jews of Ukraine, Poland and Belarus mostly having German or Jewish sound family names, or their family names were changed to sound like natives. In most cases it is quiet easy to recognize the difference for the knowledgeable person. There were not too many Jews moved with Stalin's offer to Birobidjan. But there were many Ukrainians and Russians who moved there following Jews. I read couple years ago this sorts of disinformation about Khasars from Arab professor and from some Russian historian.
