suleyman tosun ,   london,uk   (06.09.10)
There is so many companys working in either way and unfortunately mistakes of senior polititions can blunder things ,how ever in my opinion business will be back to normal soon.
2. FINALLY a voice of reason speaks out.
shadoil ,   Jerusalem   (06.09.10)
3. Erdogan
Steven ,   L.A USA   (06.09.10)
The only thing that will stop Turkey from sliding into pariah status together with its new friends, Syria, Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah, is the army overthrowing this Islamofascist and returning Turkey to its role of a bridge between East and West.
4. #2

It was only a matter of time before Turkey's moderates oppose Erdogan. The damage he's causing to Turkey is immense. Only on Sunday masses chanted in Istanbul "Death to America" as a chorus for Ahmedinijad. Thus can't be good for Turkey who wants to join the EU! Kamal Ataturk is turning in his grave!
5. # 3 - You took the words right out of my mouth.

6. Utter jargon
Doug ,   Melbourne   (06.09.10)
Hi, Wise cracks from a newly elected CHP loud mouth like Kilicdaroglu, doesn't imply that he and his party will do any good for Turkey. $40B a year on a military that probably can't stand up to Israel is a waste and Godless Kemalists like Basbug and the CHP are useless considering we around surrounded by more than a 100 Million people who are deep into faith and expect us to show some. Turks of Turkey are inward looking and really don't have the education to comprehend the requirments of achieving prosperity. Most treat life and politics like a football match where they blindly take sides usually through petty reasoning. The Arabs are extremely important to Turkey as are the Iranians. Grudges and reservations based on WW1 are useless - in that case the British should be Turkey's greatest enemy. Israel has had its usefulness, now Turkey must look elsewhere. This requires credibility. Speaking out for Gaza will gain you credibility in the Muslim world. If a Turk wants to be as wealthy as a European then they must work for it, stepping on toes along the way!
7. Erdogan & Ahmadinejad both dismiss opposition as traitors
Joe ,   Canada   (06.09.10)
Both demagogic leaders try to use the nationalistic feelings of the masses in accusing their opposition of being the tools of foreign powers be it the USA or Israel. They hope to divert the people's opinion from puting the blame on their shoulders for the dangerous direction they lead their respective country.
8. Too the Turkish people lets be friends
Eric..... ,   Israel....   (06.09.10)
Your prime minister is not very bright his leading Turkey down the wrong road .AtaTurk is turnning in his grave, this is not what he wanted for his people. He wants too show the Turkish people that his a tough guy,soo he can win the next elections.
9. Turkey is part of the Axis Of Evil
Stan ,   Johannesburg RSA   (06.09.10)
At a time when reasonable heads need to previal against the threat of Jihad - Turkey has chasen to join the party in the name of Jihad. The lies and provokations commin g from Turkeys leader - while they are waging a genocidal war against Kurds and Armenians - clearly makes Turkey the new biligerant state. The dud intel given by Turkey re the Marmari - which had Turkish sponsored terrorits on board. Say bye bye to membership of EU - say bye bye NATO - say hello Iran and North Korea.
10. Turkey is becoming the sick man again
(06.09.10)
11. Persia &Iran
mor ,   Israel   (06.09.10)
Once upon a time before the Turks even dreamed of occupying Asia Minor and becoming Ottomans, the mighty empire builders, the Persians were fighting the Greek and enslaving the Jews. During the Ottoman era, the Shahs of Shiite Iran continuously tired to undermine their Rule in Anatolia by fomenting unrest and rebellion among the Ottoman Shiites living there. Now the ayatollahs are again at it by developing nuclear weapons to regain control of the region. The problem was that the Turks, a formidable adversary in their own right, had the support of the West, US and Israel as allies. Luckily the shortsighted Turkish politicians started to play into the hands of the Iranians. The inventors of chess were never going to miss that opening in their opponent’s front. Divide and rule. First pull Turkey over and if possible enrage the West, advocate the destruction of Israel another ancient and new adversary. Do this in the name of the Palestinians to placate the Arabs. Once they have the military might, and Israel is removed / de-legitimized with the help of useful Western idiots, Turkey is left alone with no nuclear capability, without the West and their Arab Muslim brothers still hating their guts. Bye Bye Neo-Ottomanism hello submission to the will of the Ayatollahs.
12. Dear Turkish Friends-Erdogan is pulling Turkey into a mess
Alan ,   SA   (06.09.10)
13. Turkish people
Annie ,   Israel   (06.09.10)
I too have been to turkey several times and was amazed by how friendly and hospitable the Turkish were - genuinely kind and compassionate people. It saddens me that I can no longer visit Turkey because of Erdogan. It's unfortunate that Erdogan chooses not to work with us to achieve peace between israel and palestinians. All those years of friendship down the toilet.
14. nr. 7
sjoerd van der velde ,   hoorn-the netherland   (06.09.10)
in israel/and outside jews who are critical to the netanyahu-administration and to zionism are considered as traitors and self-hating jews often e.g. mordechai vanunu, noam chomsky, uri avneri etc. these people also have the right on their own opinion like everybody else.
15. Do not overreact, we are still your friends
Emre ,   Turkey   (06.09.10)
Every Turk is thinking that Israel has the right to protect itself. I agree wtih them, but the problem is that your government assume everybody a threat to your state. Every action or every word against them is a big threat for them. Israel is a big country enough not to overreact to the events. They overreact cause they think if they dont everybody will think Israel is week. A country is whether strong or week and everybody knows that Israel is a big power. But come on friend you dont need to prove this again and again by killing people.
16. to #2 true, I got turkish friend who out raged
ghostq   (06.09.10)
by all this considering china abusing Turks and all Erdogan cares about is Israel, what about taking care of Turks, he showed me how for no reason chinese grab Turks(from Turkistan) and kick and punch them in the streets, no special reason, sound like Erdogan really justify the dog in his name.
17. to #14 that is because there is only one
ghostq   (06.09.10)
jewish state on this plannet, so you see they rule out the only jewish state that is racism, it's not like Muslims who happen to have more than 55 countries.
18. to #15 proving by killing??? that is not even posibility
ghostq   (06.09.10)
and you wont find this idee anywhere, it's not ego we r talking about or hot headedness.
19. There is no doubt Erdogan knew violence could break out
(06.09.10)
Is very likely he counted on it. Why is it that only this ship turned violent and not the others? Now he exploits the deaths for further policy objectives.
20. To #15. Erdogan has no respect for our security
(06.09.10)
If we say the area is under blockade it is for our security and Turkey must respect that. But Erdagan only sees his Muslim bretheren in Hamas, the do nothing wrong.
21. UNBELIEVABLE
Alexis Sitton ,   San Juan PR   (06.09.10)
There is JAVEH after all... My heart rejoice on this morning, reading Turkish's Professionals are stepping out. And the True will be reveal.
22. The sick man
Eran ,   Singapore   (06.09.10)
A country that was once the sick man of Europe has become the angry man of the East. The fear now is that it may become another Pakistan, and the frustrations of millions of frustrated secular Muslims may lead them down the path of Islamist radicalisation. Die-hard supporters of Kemal Ataturk's secular post-First World War settlement have always scoffed at the prospect of Turkey ever adopting the hard-line Islamist ideology that prevails on the other side of its border with Iran. But they would do well to note that many of those involved in arranging the Gaza flotilla have close ties to radical Islamic groups such as Hamas. Certainly the West cannot afford to ignore Turkey's disturbing involvement in the whole affair. Its geographical location alone makes it imperative that it remains a close and valued ally, and is not allowed to drift to the wilder shores of Islamist extremism.
23. to #22 There is no extremism here
Emre ,   Turkey   (06.09.10)
Even there is more in Israel :), you are watching the TV 's and 1000 men protesting Israel and thinking that all Turks are against Israel ? This is not true my friend... There are millions of people living in this country, thousands of Jews living in peace. Almost every Jew has visited at least one time Turkey and have seen the hospitality. We are not extremists, we are the only muslim democracy in the region.

John   (06.09.10)
Erdogan he is the one who provoked Israel. He clearly associated himself with the so called IHH human rights ,these are terrorists not HUMAN RIGHTS hiding behind the real human rights, he knew very well by deliberatly sending these thugs, despite Israel's appeal to him, he will cause Israel to excercise her rights to defend herself , the results we all know now .May i remind you it's only on the mavi marmara where edrogan's thugs are on the boat that violence accord. Why no violence accord on the other boats?. Unlike Erdogan Israel is showing true statemanship by not reacting to the daily insults by this man. I believe the good people of Turkey will sure know and realise who this man is and where he is leading Your country to.He will be judged by them
25. #9 - look who is talking
alp ,   turkey   (06.09.10)
i am a turkish citizen who lived in pretoria for two years between 207 and 2009.. as a white south african I believe you don't have much to teach to the rest of the world "ma bru". we are not waging genocidal wars against kurds or armenians - we had several prime ministers who were kurdish - actually the opposition leader who supports Israel and who has a huge following is kurdish.. look at your history and shut up!
26. #22 - you have no idea on what you are talking about
alp ,   turkey   (06.09.10)
have you ever been to pakistan? have you ever been to israel? have you ever been to turkey? what have you read or heard to come up with a stupid comparison like the risk of turkey becoming a pakistan? turkey is a democratic state, it is a secular state, its values are very different from most of the muslim countries.. it has its own national interests - as long as US and EU are aligned with our interests we are allies. if you destabilize the region do you really expect us to just watch it? think twice before writing..
27. #24 - John
alper ,   turkey   (06.09.10)
John, that still doesn't make the Turks being called "extremists". With all due respect, most of the Israeli's - due to the hardened beliefs throughout many centuries of hardships - could be called "religous exremists" but not the Turks. Or even Christian Evangelists, just like Bush Jr., who claimed that it was a "crusade" to invade Iraq, are "extremists" but the Turks. Another point; Israel is a "legitimate state" - they are not street thugs. If someone throws a stone to you, or beat your soldiers (not killing them) you don't necessarily kill them - arrest them, jail them but DON'T KILL THEM. do you understand my point? Another point; so Erdogan is not a stateman but Netenyahu or Lieberman (this old Moldovian bodyguard) are statemans.. Good judgement on your side..
28. Emre dostum, please read Ozdemir Ince Today
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (06.09.10)
I will make it easy for you and give you the direct link: http://www.hurriyet.com.tr/yazarlar/14969661.asp?yazarid=72&gid=61 See from the mouth of a Turkish writer who is often critical of Israel what was behind this Mavi Marmara and the organizer IHH. And then think about how Turkey and you would perceive for example if Ollie Rhen (pasrt EU reporter of Turkey) would provide a flotilla to break the Turkish invasion of Magosa (which has been a ghost city since 1974 invasion) bringing the lawful owners of the empty homes back to claim their properties? Be fair.
29. ghostq #16
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (06.09.10)
Erdogan does not care about Turks nor about the Chinese Uighur's who are the ancestors of Turks. He did not lift a hand when they were being abused in China. Erdogan does not care about human suffering in any place in the world because he supports Sudan's Omar Al Bashir and told the media that he had been in Sudan and did not see anyone suffering. All he cares is to stay in power as long as he lives because the minute he will be ousted from the parliament he and President Abdullah Gul will lose their parliamentarian immunity and have to face charges about criminal wrong doing for some action before they were elected. Using religious sensitivities and Attacking Israel have proven to be the main source of gaining votes for AKP and he is using it all the way to the voting polls.
30. # 19 - Some Turkish media also is confirming that they knew
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (06.09.10)
Some Turkish media also are saying that Erdogan and his government most likely knew that violence would erupt and they did not do anything about it. There is also a report that the violent group boarded the ship separately. Another report is saying that MIT (the Turkish Intelligence Service) informed Israel in advance that there were no violent elements on board and there would be no resistance. But let me remind all that teh newly appointed head of the MIT is known to be affiliated to Erdogan and his ideology.
