1. Who cares about the convert?
Convert k'halacha ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.14.10)
These people are more concerned with their own political agendas than they are with the converts. Conservatives don't accept Reform converts and Orthodox don't accept C or R converts, but everyone accepts Orthodox converts as full-fledged Jews. It is in the convert's best interest to have an Orthodox conversion and the convert's best interest should be at the top of any discussion of conversion.
2. conversion - to #1
james Gibson ,   Pittsburgh, USA   (06.15.10)
Your statement is factually incorrect. Conservative Rabbis accept Reform conversions that include milah (or ha-ta-fat dam b'rit) and t'vilah and acceptance of the yoke of the commandments. There are problems with some Orthodox converts, especially if their gerut has been conducted in haste due to marriage issues.
3. but shkaransky?
Eshkol Hakofer   (06.19.10)
what does he have to do with converts? with religion alltogether? with the 'sovereign (?)' state of israel? in what capacity?
