made to resettle these people right away. From what I heard these people to a great degree shouldered Israels agriculture back with their greenhouses businesses. What a waste of some of Israels most industrious people.
3. Why not buy land in Israel proper? would be safer

Seem like it would be safer and smarter to just live in Israel proper since a peace deal could force them to relocate again.

You ask "why not buy land in Israel proper"? To which I would answer: a) who knows what is considered "Israel proper" nowadays? Who knows what our government or a future one will concede to the Arabs? b) If you would either find enough land in Israel proper to rebuild a community and enough money to fund it, I'm sure these poor people would be only too happy to move. As an example, several have moved to set up Yevul on the Egyptian border, as it says in the article. Some members of my extended family from Neve Dekalim have rebuilt in Nitzan (in Israel "proper" for those who are nitpickers) - and if you knew how much bureaucracy and stumbling blocks were put in their path you would be enraged. The more apposite question should be "what was the big rush to expel the residents at the time? Why did the government not first set up new towns and farms, and only then evacuate the existing communities to the new ones?". There has never been an adequate answer to that.

From the U.S., I can say that there is little-to-no knowledge of your forced expulsion circumstance and injustices suffered. I doubt the man who posted meant to nitpick using the term in Israel "proper". His concern seemed that relocation be to a more secure location, in view of the article. We don't know what to call that as foreigners. We don't even understand how unstable life is over there. Only if we search independent from mainstream do we find information. It is very shocking to read your true stories by searching Israel internet. The entire expulsion was wrong to begin with, and made nothing better, only worse. This all needs to be made known in some manner such as a documentary video.
