1. And you ?
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (06.15.10)
You are not looking for excuses for accusing Israel, wiping out Israel or killing Israelis ? We, the Jews, have stopped to turn the other cheek and let the world step all over us. Victims no more.....
2. Yeah, Right. Associated with Islamic Brotherhood
emanon ,   USA   (06.15.10)
3. Let them go the Gaza to the open arms of Hamas
Ted   (06.15.10)
These people have not learned that Gaza blockade is because of Hamas. Let them go there and live under Hamas rule for a year and they will know that the terror in Gaza is from within.
4. :P even tourist vessle isn't allowed to board in Israel

Johnny ,   Nazareth   (06.15.10)
all of you are Hamas and Hizboullah! you share the same perverted ideological ideas
8. Interesting
John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (06.15.10)
Interesting situation. Correct me if I am wrong, but Israel and Lebanon never signed peace agreement, which means they are officially still in war. What do you do when enemy sends ship to your waters?
9.  Naji el-Ali
observer   (06.15.10)
Naji el-Ali was a Palestinian cartoonist, noted for the political criticism of Israel in his works. He drew over 40,000 cartoons, which often reflected Palestinian and Arab public opinion and were sharply critical commentaries on Palestinian and Arab politics and political leaders. He is perhaps best known as creator of the character Handala, pictured in his cartoons as a young witness of the satirized policy or event depicted, and who has since become an icon of Palestinian defiance. Naji al-Ali was shot in the face and mortally wounded in London by unknown persons on 22 July 1987, outside the offices of al-Qabas, a Kuwaiti newspaper for which he drew political caricatures. the mystery of his murderer is still lingering, but what is not secret is that at the time and place he was assassinated there was no need to forge passports.
10. Lebanese (?) flotilla
Jerry ,   Sweden   (06.15.10)
Lebanese flotilla have no link to Hamas, Hezbollah..... I wish I could believe it! Well into the 60th century in Sweden spread official brochures that explained that in the event of war, the Swedish civilian population mobilized in the "total war". In a total war all involved, men and women, children and pensioners. All are legitimate targets - are no longer civil. State of war exists, and if the Israelis had applied the same principles in its war that we Europeans applied during World War II, then the Palestinian people where no longer in existence today. If the Muslim world, will continue provoking the Israelis, so perhaps they are applying the same principles in its war of survival that we Europeans applied during World War II.
11. Naji el-Ali
Jerry ,   Sweden   (06.15.10)
Whit all respect to Naji el-Ali (Palestinian cartoonist), what he have for function /connection to the Lebanese flotilla?
12. Interesting interpretation of History
Danny   (06.15.10)
Because the UK imposed a full embargo on Jews entering the mandate during WW2 to appease the Arabs who had a major rebellion in 1936-1939 over Jewish refugees trying to escape persecution. But since when did the truth matter to these people?
13. #11, it is interesting
Danny   (06.15.10)
that they would name one of their ships after a guy murdered by Palestinian "resistance" groups for criticising them. Bet he wished he just attacked Israel where the worst that happens is they call him an anti-semite.....
14. They Say This, They Mean That
Frankie Littlehammer ,   New Herstal, TX, US   (06.15.10)
They may say they're not linked to Hamas and Hezbollah, but what they're really saying is that Hamas and its affiliates have the right commit terror in Israel, and that it's alright to keep Gilad Shalit captive and incommunicado. Strange that these people feel zero sympathy for Kurds and oither minorities in the Middle East.
15. "the savage Israeli siege of Gaza"
William ,   Israel   (06.15.10)
...where the residents have flat screen tvs, some driving new vehicles, imported Korean appliances and food stalls as far as the eye can see loaded with items. Those Israelis are such savages...they blocked the caviar. Who can live like that?
16. Do the journalists include photographers from Reuters?
Cynic ,   USA   (06.15.10)
17. Lebanon at war with Israel. A warning shot, then sink them.
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (06.15.10)
International law is very clear here. Lebanon is in a declared state of war with israel, does not recognize Israel's right to exist, hand has recently fired thousands of missiles at israeli civilians. Lebanon vessels and cargoes have no right to enter Israeli waters, including those of Gaza, under Israel's lawful control. IDF is within its rights to sink these boats if they ignore warning shots and continue on course. IDF MUST ANNOUNCE THIS INTENT IN ADVANCE! And arrogant EU "legislators" have no right to volunteer as human shields to invade Israel's sovereignty, and deserve whatever they get. Hardly surprising there are still Europeans who think they don't have to respect the Jewish State's national rights - a continuation of a 1000-year tradition.
18. #9 More Likely Killed by Arabs
Frankie Littlehammer ,   New Herstal, TX, US   (06.15.10)
#9 Is there any proof that your cartoonist was killed by Israelis? If the guy was worth his salt he must have angered Arabs too, and Arabs have a grand tradition of killing cartoonists and critics in general. Very convenient that Israel can always be blamed for anything that goes wrong in the Arab world.
19. #13 - I think you've got it wrong. He criitisized Israel
lara ,   Australia   (06.16.10)
Naji el-ali's cartoons were a criticism of israel. But you're probably so vein, that you took it as a compliment. They were symbols of what Israels occupation had done and of the massacres and destruction in Palestinian refuggee camps during Israels invasion of Lebanon in 1982. The cartoons symbolize the struggle, death, destruction and tears. They show Israel as a bully and the suffering the caused.
20. Before you sink with them ...few things you need to know
Ben ,   san francisco USA   (06.16.10)
Naji al Ali was killed by Yasser Arafat for his chractarization by the cartoonest as a traitor to the palestinian cause. Gaza and its teratorial waters are not under Israeli sovereignty as Israel claims that it no longer occupy Gaza, accordingly Israel can board ships and inspect cargo but not divert them or their cargo anywhere else. The flotila is in accordance of international law and israel is obligated under the Geniva convention to facilitate their mission. Sinking , attacking , killing or kiddnaping anyone on board will be a very good excuse for hizballah to impose a naval blockade of its own on all ships in Israeli teratorial water , this is something they have the means and will to do as stated by Nasrallah a few days ago.
21. INSHA ALLAH
Issidore Jacob ,   Romania   (06.16.10)
Shame on you Israel, you were the beloved people of God,but you do not respect God,even today,He sent your people in the world becouse of that, you still have to learn...you will have no country ever...i feel sory for you, indeen, but Palestine do nothing wrong, this is your fate,FACE IT ,and return to your God ...He is still waiting for you...
22. Greeks fleeing to Gaza?
Xena   (06.16.10)
Can anyone provide factual evidence that what the Greek activist Basias Ivangelos said is true, "During World War Two more than 2,000 people form the Greek isles fled the Nazis on boats and were welcomed in Gaza with open arms" ? During WW2 Gaza was under the British Mandate. Who welcomed them, the Arabs, the Brits? Another attempt at revising history?
