1. Jstreet, PRO Israel? Since when?
Chatich   (06.17.10)
Are they pro-Israel because they say so? The terrorists on the boat said they were 'peace ativists'. Please.
2. The must be an inquiry into the massacre of the Kurds!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (06.17.10)
Turkey has a brutal and disgusting history. Turkey, then the Ottoman Empire was allied with Germany in WWI and massacred thousands. We have all heard of the Armenian Genocide and now the civilized world must recognize it and hold Turkey, even in 2010, responsible! Turkey's history of persecution of the Greeks on Cyprus is appalling and Turkey must be called to account for barbarism. The above human rights abuses are history but today Turkey still persecutes the Kurdish people and has killed Kurds by the thousand! The time has come to isolate this brutal country which is using Israel as a scapegoat for its failure to be accepted by the EU and to enhance its position in the Islamic Fundamentalist world!
3. Please
Eran   (06.17.10)
“If Israel is at fault in any way, it is for falling into the trap that was set for them by Turkey. The Turks have extraordinary nerve to lecture the State of Israel, when they are occupiers of the island of Cyprus, where they systematically discriminate against the ecumenical patriarch, and they refuse to recognize Armenian genocide. And this is the country that not only funded but sanctioned the flotilla. They did not do this for humanitarian reasons. They did this to provoke an international confrontation. As far as I'm concerned, Turkey is responsible for the nine deaths aboard that ship. It is not Israel that is responsible. Israel's troops were attacked”.
4. Recognize Armenian Genocide!
Ruben ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (06.17.10)
Force Turkey to courts of law in EU and US, make them pay reparations and return stolen land. Then we can have some justice.
5. J Street, pro Israel? Pass that smoke to me. I want some.
shadoil ,   Jerusalem   (06.17.10)
6. J Street Dictionary: The word "nuanced"
Logic ,   Israel   (06.17.10)
is code for "pressure Israel, regardless of reality."
7. Obama Administration must understand.
elton kerry ,   Miami, USA   (06.17.10)
Iran and Turkey is just the start if they are not stopped with sanction they will try to wrap 3rd world muslim countries to bring the high tide in the region. Like Indoneaisa, Malaysia, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, bangladesh, Libya, kuwait and Oman also south american coutries too will fall in his trap. Iran is trying to create that commotion on name of religion and sentiments of muslim world. The best part is Iran is just doing lip service & contribution of money.None of the Iranian citizens are caught in this operation they play safe game and are making other muslims come forward to fight.
8. The United States and Turkey
Ron B. ,   Lod   (06.17.10)
The United States should make it clear to the Turkish government that its status as an ally depends upon its observance of a certain minimal regard for U.S. interests. Turkey has many concerns that depend upon U.S. support — in its economy, in the Armenian Genocide resolution before Congress, in Cyprus, in Kurdistan, and elsewhere. The U.S. can cause a lot of problems for Turkey, and they should perhaps be reminded of the fact as they stroll about the Middle East causing serious problems for the U.S. More at : http://xrl.us/bhopf7
9. #5 Even being sky-high doesn't help JStreet
fumeuuur ,   EU   (06.17.10)
10. J Street
JS ,   USA   (06.17.10)
The media is insistent on portraying J Street as mainstream and as pro-Israel. It does not represent mainstream views and it is certainly not pro-Israel. Please correct Reuters on this issue.
11. To #3: Yes, that is why we must have a proper inquiry!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (06.17.10)
We sent our troops into harms with proper intelligence and their lives were in danger! This is unforgivable ans these soldiers are our children and the future of our country. Whoever planned this debacle from both the political side and the military side must be called to account and so must the Prime Minister for authorizing the operation in international waters. The Tirkel Commission has no power (Netanyahu has seen to that) and the PM must be compelled to increase the scope and authority of the commission. As for the demands for an international inquiry, this is acceptable only after inquiries are held into the killing of innocents in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Chechnya, China (the Uighers) Tibet and so many other places!
12. # 4
Tarik ,   İstanbul   (06.17.10)
recognize the genocide the us and it's allies comitted in dresden, hiroshima, nagasaki, south america, vietnam, afghanistan, iraq etc. Then start talking about your fictions...
13. #12 half right
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (06.17.10)
Dresden, Hiroshima and Nagasaki were legal and justified. South America was not "genocide" but similar to Erdogan's crime in supporting Hamas. No one knows why the Americans are in Afghanistan, and they should be condemned. But your condemnation of the Iraq war is strange. You are correct that it is genocide to protect the Saudis, but in Iraq Erdogan is working together with the Americans and the Saudis to murder the Kurds. Aren't you ashamed?
14. US lawmakers
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (06.17.10)
Are some Democrats becoming nervous in face of the November elections? Good.
15. lol..Turkey needs no lessons from the US on its
RJBH ,   Methil   (06.17.10)
