Felix ,   Mila, Italy   (06.19.10)
Three cheers for the retired Turkish diplomats. How comforting is to hear the voice of the wise, respectable, far-sighted Turkey of old.
4. Brave Erdogan & Hussein Obama will stick around till 2016
Kemal   (06.19.10)
5. Bravo!
Rafi ,   US   (06.19.10)
well-stated by the diplomats. Perhaps it is not too late to bring Turkey back from the edge it has been brought to by its modern-day Abdel Nasser, Mr Erdogan.
6. Retired ambassadors may SHUT THE F*** UP
(06.19.10)
as long as these secular scum bags are not happy that means Erdogan is doing the right thing !
7. Erdogan, we shall not be silent concerning the 1.5 million
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (06.19.10)
Armenians slaughtered by the Turks, the hundreds of thousands of Kurds mass murdered by your thugs, or the many thousands of Cypriots kicked by the Turks out of northern Cyprus, still occupied by those who inherited the Ottoman Empire and wishing to bring it about and impose it upon the peoples of the Middle East. No, we shall not be silent; indeed, we intend to demand that Turkey apologize to the Armenians for the genocide inflicted upon this tiny and brave people. We insist the Turks apologize for to the Kurdish people as well as to the Cypriot people, and having done so, enable the Kurds to exercise their universally accepted right to national self-determination and independence and get the hell out of Cyprus, now!
8. #4- OMG! take a reality check.

Erdogan seems to display the onset of dementia.
10. To Khalil.
Palestinian ,   Great Palestine   (06.19.10)
Why spread hatred and recite what others are saying?! Go spew your hatred somewhere else as maybe this will help you become an equal citizen in you beloved country, Israel, as you are treated as a goat there!! Islam shall prevail.
11. #6: "Good talk" from a professed
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (06.19.10)
Islamist. Very religious. What a scumbag you are! And you hide behind anonymity. Coward!
12. #4 Kemal
Maurice ,   Montreal   (06.19.10)
You don't deserve your name which is also the name of the great Mistafa Kemal Ataturk! You represent everything that is against him starting with Islamism and jihadism!
13. question
Andrea ,   Indiana, USA   (06.19.10)
What does he mean " like the 'mass prayer in Jerusalem.'"? What's the reference?
14. Similar paths
Christopher ,   Boston, MASS   (06.19.10)
All recent dictators started the same way: play to the people's weaknesses and then take control from the masses centralize it in a modern politburo and destroy them. Look at Chavez in Venezuela, the regimes in Eastern Europe. Erdogan in Turkey, and Obama in the US
15. The genocide continues
Christopher ,   Boston, MASS   (06.19.10)
The Ottomans committed genocide against the Armenians by murdering over 1.5 millin; today the new Otto-Turk looks to commit more genocides by murdering Kurds in the North and Jews in the South

Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.19.10)
What about the 1.5m people in Gaza that have been collectively punished by Israel for the last 4 years? What are you silent on this matter? My my, it would seem that you advocate the ‘universally accepted right to national self-determination and independence’ for everyone *except* the Palestinians. Why is that?
17. If Erdogan was born in 15 century, he
Bolek ,   Poland   (06.19.10)
could be good commander of Turkish cavalry. As a politician of 21 century he is too emotional.
18. To #10 - I'm not familiar with a 'Palestinian' state
Chris   (06.19.10)
I'm only familiar with barbaric Arab tribes that hate each other and do not deserve anything.
19. You prove their point
Orhan ,   Edinburgh, UK   (06.19.10)
Nuff said.
20. WHAT?
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (06.19.10)
How is it Khalil is "spewing hatred"? You, with your religion promoting honor killings, female circumcision, loathing of every progressive thought, are accomplishing this. And by the way. There exists no Palestine, certainly no "Greater" Palestine.
21. To Palestinian, #10
Khalil ,   Nazareth, Israel   (06.19.10)
I love Israel - only under Israeli rule we started to live better. The same thing you can hear from most Israeli Arabs. We don't need 'peaceful' guests from Turkey or other countries. 'Great' palestinian idea is not more than next 'imaginative cheap hope' - it will never come true! Bloody islamic ideas already took thousands and thousands lives of Arabs. Enough is enough!
22. Bolek, you are right
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (06.19.10)
In the picture, he reminds me of hysterical backwoods evangelists leading revivals.
23. Erdo is dreaming of more conquest
AlbertoGA ,   St. George, USA   (06.19.10)
The man is mad, actualy he is more a danger for the Turks as for the Israelis. As a Dr. I think he has "Rabies" Ayayay !
24. #6 - AKP wil lose in th enext elections
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (06.19.10)
Turks are now understanding the mistake they ,made by electing AKP and ultra Isalmist Erdogan. Today it was a black day in the history of Turkey. Many brave soldiers died in the hands of PKK terrorists. When AKp took power PKK terror was 0. Since his leadership it has risen constantly. When he said that Hamas i snot a terror organization PKK took power and encouragement of his words. Time for Erdogan and AKP to go. They ruined the reputation of Turkey in the west and even in the Arab world. Secular ATATURKCU TURKIYE will soon prevail.
25. khalil
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (06.19.10)
A few thousand more like you and we could peacefully solve the issues.
26. Erdogan= Disaster
Rob ,   USA   (06.19.10)
Erdogan will most likely bring disaster To Turkey. The critical question is how soon will he be recognized as a true liability by the reasonable Turks who still have a voice?
27. neo-Ottomanism or backstabbing 101
Cynthia ,   USA   (06.19.10)
Erdogan threw Israel under the bus when he needed oil from Iran and felt rejected by Europe. He stood by Iran long enough to plan his next move. This move resembled a cheap gang like initiation rite with the flotilla attack on Israel to prove his loyalty to the Arab world. In the process, he conveniently sidelined Iran. Surely Arab, Muslim, European and Western leaders are taking a mental snapshot of Erdogan's "neo-Ottomanism" plans for expansion and ties to terror.
28. # 24
Atheist Turk ,   Germany   (06.20.10)
Let´s have a look what will happen in the next elections. Will Ghandi Kemal do it? I doubt! Secular Turks are a minority in Turkey now. It is frightening. I am afraid they cannot compensate the damage which was done by AKP. Do you know this Erdogan cartoon? Son halife Tosun Pasa? http://haberblog.org/?p=8604 It tells everything
29. Ottaman empire had it's chance to do the right thing
(06.20.10)
