1. Jew shouldnt have the same rights, its not their land!
kylie ,   sydney, australia   (06.21.10)
What a ridiculous article
2. Took our homes in Yaffa, Haifa, Lod .. Now West Bank? peace?
Palestinian   (06.21.10)
3. covert step-by-step process toward fait accompli?
Paqid Yirmeyahu ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (06.21.10)
4. finally, a voice of reson in a left saturated media
Avi Stein ,   Tel Aviv   (06.21.10)
great article
5. If Kylie is right, then he's an illegal occupation settler
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (06.21.10)
Sure thing Kylie, Aussie isn't your land either so it's time you realized that you have no human rights at all there. Get out of your settlement now and go back to wherever it is you came from... some English prison? Not only do you have no rights, the Aborigines have the right to kill you in the street, to blow up your restaurants, and to fire rockets at your homes and kill you there too. Kylie - you have no rights. It is not your land. You are an illegal settler. Get out of Australia now!
6. There is NO HUMAN RIGHT TO BE A SETTLER
Louis Frankenthaler ,   West Jerusalem   (06.21.10)
Settlers certainly have human rights, they have the right not to be tortured, for instance, or to be beaten by the police when they demonstrate for their pseudo-right to be a settler. Bu there is no human right to be a settler. Being a settler is an illegal privilege given to Jewish Israelis to take part in an enterprise that violates international law. http://zeek.forward.com/articles/116178/
7. Didn't I read this article before?
Tel Avivian ,   Tel Aviv   (06.21.10)
I swear, this same argument gets made time after time, and it is still terrible. I'm sorry, but nobody but self-deluded rightists will ever cry for the poor settlers that aren't allowed to run roughshod over the entire West Bank. If they are sad that they have to follow IDF rules while illegally occupying Palestinian land, then they are free to move back to Israel.
8. Jewish rights
MC   (06.21.10)
At last some one is bringing the subject of Jewish rights to the table. Added to this should be the continuous Arab illegal building while Jewish building is frozen. There must be much more uproar over this. Natanyahu says he wants Israel to be recognized as a Jewish state but he's allowing our enemies to negate this. Meanwhile he himself has been forbidden to ride on the road the High Court insisted on opening. When will the government learn to take responsibility for the security of all Israelis and stop capitulating to outside pressure, including the High Court?
9. Judea and Samaria !!!!!! whai this? Other Jewish state!
Salma ,   Palestine   (06.21.10)
Jews were barred from entering certain areas is for "security reasons", not for racial reasons, as the case with the Palestinians before Oslo there were 100,000 Jewish settlers in the West Bank at the end of 1993, this number has more than doubled since the mid-1990s to 400,000. The construction in the illegal settlement continue at a rapid pace ! Seems Mr. Hagai Segal is living in Honolulu !!!!!!!!!
10. to #1
daniyel ,   israel   (06.21.10)
you are wrong. jews are indigenous to the land of israel - but i doubt that you, kylie, are an austrailian aborigine, making you a smug hypocrite and a fool. speaking of ridiculous.......
11. Govt. violates Human Rights #2,13,18&30
Sam ,   USA   (06.21.10)
Israel signed&violates Art. 2,13,18&30"Universal Declaration of Human Rights"#2 territories,13:right of residence18:religious observance&30:No one Bagatz can NOT take away these rights
12. Face Salma, there never was a country called "Palestine"
Brian Cohen ,   Peoples FrontofJudea   (06.21.10)
Although this has been making its way around the internet for years, it's still worth repeating: If you are so sure that "Palestine, the country, goes back through most of recorded history," I expect you to be able to answer a few basic questions about that country of Palestine : 1. When was Palestine founded and by whom? 2. What were Palestine's borders? 3. What was its capital? 4. What were its major cities? 5. What constituted the basis of its economy? 6. What was its form of government? 7. Can you name at least one Palestinian president or prime minister before Arafat? 8. Some countries have been around for hundreds or over a thousand years. Where were the embassies of Palestine in the 19th century in Europe and Asia? 9. What was the official language of the country of Palestine? 10. Where can we see examples of Palestine's official currency? 12. And, finally, since there is no such country today, what caused Palestine's demise and when did it occur? If you are lamenting the "low sinking" of a "once proud" nation, then please tell us when exactly was that "nation" proud and what was it so proud of? And here is the least sarcastic question of all: If the people you mistakenly call "Palestinians" are anything but generic Arabs collected from all over -- or thrown out of -- the Arab world, if they really have a genuine ethnic identity that gives them right for self-determination, why did they never try to become independent until Arabs suffered their devastating defeat in the 1967 Six Day War? I hope you avoid the temptation to trace the modern day "Palestinians" to the Biblical Philistines: substituting etymology for history won't work here. The truth should be obvious to everyone who wants to know it. Before 1967 the west bank was part of Jordan, and there was never any move by Jordan to partition itself into Jordan and "Palestine". However, after creating the monster known as the PLO, Jordan was itself almost destroyed and instead cut off the west bank to save itself. Gaza was part of the the province of the Ottoman empire run from Turkey. Before that, the Mamluks, before them various groups going back to the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Sassanians, and Byzantines. And before them, the place was known as Israel. And no. Nowhere in there is there a country called "Palestine."
13. Israeli left not allowing Jews many freedoms, cowtowing to

14. I give up on Jewish PR efforts
bob ,   New Zealand   (06.21.10)
honestly you suck so bad when it comes to PR campaigns compared to the Palistinians. There are people round the world like me who want to be unbiased but if this is the best you can come up with in response to the successful Pals media campaigns then quit now while you're only a few light years behind. Self pitying whingeing ''what about'' tone and it comes across sounding disingenuous , which I suspect it probably is going by the points mentioned in the previous comments.
15. israeli arabs are not allowed anywhere...
shock ,   doesn't matter   (06.21.10)
Why would you say that Israeli Arabs are allowed into Nablus? THey very clearly are not unless they have written permission from the IDF and several other government offices. It's not like they can walk right in. Check your facts buddy, maybe try some miluim and do a service to the country.
16. #5 another bafflingly wrong PR argument
bob ,   New Zealand   (06.21.10)
Kylie IS right and he IS an illegal settler in the sense that Europeans colonised Aussie in the early 19th century. You have just compared late 20th century Israeli settlers to early 19th century European colonisers. How does that help your case exactly?
17. 100.000 Judean Jews are native to Judea and Shomrom
jew ,   Gush Etzion   (06.21.10)
They are born there and grew up there in the 2nd and 3rd generation already. Please refrain from call them settlers. Only racists deny native Judean Jews basic rights! jews have always lived in Hebron adn even in Gaza had Jews until 200 years ago.

20. #1, #5 & #16 - It is the Arabs who are colonists here...
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (06.21.10)
Arabic is a language that is foreign to the Levant. It was brought here by the Armies of Islam who brutally conquered this land and then colonized it with settlers from the Arabian Peninsula. Islam is a religion that is foreign to the Levant. It was also brought here by Arab colonists from the south. The name "Palestine" was coined by the Romans after they conquered and colonized our country over 2000 years ago. The original names for this land are Israel and Judea. Much like the Aborigines and the Maori, we are not strangers to this land, but rather its native population. Millennia of continued colonization, occupation, and denial of our fundamental right to self-government within our ancient borders, the cradle of our civilization, has not, and will not, deter our resolve to be a free people in our own land. Palestine itself is a colonialist, occupationist entity built over the ashes of a captive Judea. Those who whine about "the occupation" should seek to end the occupation called "Palestine".
21. #16 we are the natives
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.21.10)
The Arabs are the illegal colonialists like you. We also have a little thing called international law on our side, you might have even heard of it. The San Remo Treaty, Mandate for Palestine - Covenant of the League of Nations and the UN Charter ALL state that the land west of the Jordan River belongs to the Jews and cannot be given to any other government or group. Now for the really tough one - can you name a SINGLE international law or treaty that gives the Arabs any claim to the land? I am willing to bet you can't because it doesn't exist. But go ahead and try. The illegal squatters on our lands have no rights at all, except to leave.
22. State of Israel
Larna ,   Berea, USA   (06.21.10)
I have just returned from Israel and have seen first hand that the Jewish state is being taken over by Arabs. They control most everything, the towns, the Old City. I think it's sickening that the Jewish people have to live in such conditions where you can cut the hatred with a knife. The Arabs have taken over. Why should the Jewish people be forced to take alternate routes thru THEIR country. I cut my trip to Israel short by 2 wks because I can't tolerate the Arabs control. They have taken beautiful towns and made slums of them. What more do they want? That land is for the JEWISH people.
23. #12 There are two stories, Palestinian and "Israeli"
Salma ,   Palestine   (06.21.10)
in the end, right will prevail ,agree !
24. What about Jewish rights - #23
Lenise ,   Israel   (06.21.10)
There are two stories, Palestinian and Israeli. If there are two stories, Salma, why do you not get around to it and tell us the Palestinian story as requested by No 12. You never get to the point and give us the details requested, which means there are none and your comments are pure humbug as always.
25. Our right to pray there not to occupy it.
YOAV ,   Tel Aviv   (06.21.10)
Yes we have right to pray there, but we don't have any right to occupy it and humilitaed its natives. Make peace thn we can pray anywhere....
