so Lebanese law allows for the illegal running of a war-time blockade? If that's due to the state war that exists between Israel and Lebanon then that means that this ship is now categorized as "military", per Geneva Convention.

Israel is up against a new ‘enemy’ namely common folk who are willing to act where their respective governments will not. Sure there are certain countries/‘anti-Israeli’ groups that will gladly turn a blind eye or actively support (behind the scenes) such flotillas but by and large it is the common people/civilians who are doing this. In a nutshell their goal is very simple: ‘we will no longer watch as Israel collectively punishes the 1.5m people of Gaza’. They are not driven by a ‘hatred of Jews/Israeli/Israel’ they are driven by the knowledge that Palestinians have been brutally occupied and oppressed by Israelis for decades. No amount of Israeli firepower can overcome such a collective global ideology.

It almost sounds like Israel is being set up by Lebanon. Makes me wonder how many hizbollah terrorists are aboard this ship?

True, Israel cannot prohibit a ship from leaving Lebanon's ports, but once they make clear their intention to run a military blockade, they lose their protected civilian status under international law. And under the established laws of war they can be boarded even in international waters. And let's hear no talk about the blockade being "illegal". Gaza (and, I might add, Lebanon) are in a state of war with Israel, which makes a blockade automatically legal.

The destination and objective of those vessels are well documented. Lebanon will have to bear full responsibility for the permission it has given to those vessels and for whatever comes out of their hostile action against Israel. It cannot pass the buck on to anybody else because it is fully AWARE of all the details. In effect, it can be interpreted that Lebanon is declaring war on Israel because Lebanon is now governed by elements of Hizbullah.

Okay, so Hez, as agents for Lebanon, will send a few thousand rockets into Israel. Some will hit vital areas, lets face reality. Then, it will be Israel's turn.
