The geneva conventions discuss only occupied territory, which Jerusalem is NOT, it is officially disputed territory, since it was and is not part of a soverign, internationally recognized State. The right to acquire territory by conquest was abolished at the end of WW II. Starting with a series of treaties in 1948, Israel agreed with this principle, but seems to think is doesn't apply the Israel's conquests because they are "defensive" conquests. But then the claim was that Pearl Harbor and Case White were "defensive," too. The "right" died with the end of WW II, killed off by the Allies, and rightly so.
