1. tristan didn''t die from shooting
ghostq   (06.24.10)
he died from can of tear gaz that hit him by accident after he began to throw stons at border police men this is wast of time and tax money, the guy was over 40 he wasn't a child if he went to high security sensitive area to demonstrate don't expect him to be unarmed, his parents just thinks they can get closure for his death on Israeli expense.
2. That's awful. I hope he is heavily compensated
lara ,   Australia   (06.24.10)
Israelis need to stop shooting things at people. It's so dangerous
3. Who's footing the bill?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.24.10)
An American meddler -- with no job and financial resources to speak of -- who lied about his purpose and intent when he entered the State of Israel has been a patient in the Intensive Care Unit in one of Israel's top hospitals for over a year. Did his family pay the bill? They should. Anderson was solely responsible for his fate. The Israeli taxpayers should not have to pay for his care.
4. Thank you Mr. Tristan Anderson, Palestine loves you
Palestinian   (06.24.10)
5. to #2 he was hit by tear gaz can,
ghostq   (06.24.10)
he wasn't a innocent padestrian who go by accident to hostile area, when he went there he had one goal in his mind, and that to demonstrate. to unauthorized demonstration, and permits can be given by the police only if the rally won't desrupt the peace, in his case, he didn't even bother to ask the border police for permition.
6. To: Ghostq at No. 1
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.24.10)
Tristan Anderson is very much alive. He has lost vision in his right eye, and is paralyzed on his left side, but thanks to incredible medical attention and physical rehabilitation, he has regained his ability to speak. And -- thanks to the largesse of the American people (via Social Security) and the good people of the State of California (via CalMed), he can continue to not work a single day of his entire life. But I daresay his days of illegal meddling in the internal affairs of the State of Israel are over. And that's a good thing. The Rachel Corries and the Tristan Andersons of this world got exactly what they deserved.

So is throwing cement blocks and boulders at moving cars, Lara. That's a Palestinian thing. So is burning tires (another Palestinian thing). So is stabbing innocent Jews at bus stations (yet another Palestinian thing). So is pretending to be peacefully demonstrating when the demonstrations are anything but peaceful. That was Tristan Anderson's thing. He paid the price. You can compensate him as heavily as you like. You might want to start by paying his eight-figure hospital bill (ten, if you include the two numbers after the decimal). You really need to stop shooting your mouth. It's so dangerous ....
8. Shame on you Sarah
Sue McGraw ,   USA   (06.24.10)
USA taxpayers paid Billions of Dollars to Israel over the years. You live off the American taxpayers also. Yet you deny a right for an injured American .
9. Anderson's brain damage was a pre-existing condition.
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (06.24.10)
How else would you explain a rich and bored American youth making himself a human shield for ruhtless terrorists? The frathouse he tried pledging for did not accept him, or something like that? So instead he decided to get his rush by taking a walk on the wild side in the bloody Middle East? So sad he ended up in this condition, but that's what you get for being a useful idiot in service of Hamas. (2nd attempt)
10. to #6 wow... than what is the problem?
ghostq   (06.24.10)
the guy is over 40, a trouble maker, he needs to deal with the outcome of his actions, if his parents look for appollogy they will have a lot of time to wait before that happened, cause I don't think in this life time they will get an appology.
11. He had no right to come to our country
jason white ,   afula, israel   (06.24.10)
and protest for the terrorists. He got what he deserved and the other foreigners should also be shot or arrested. Only in Israel do anti government pro terrorst foreigners come and protest a defense against terrorism. No other country would put up with something like that happening in their country. We need to crack down on anti Israel protesters coming here. Make sure his parents pay for the hospital bill. We should not have to treat stupid anti semites for free.
12. Lara from Australia
Golani ,   Vineland, USA   (06.24.10)
Lara, wouldn't that be great if we could stop shooting things at people? Wouldn't it be better if terrorists and supporters of terror would stop their violence first? Have you ever been hit by rocks thrown by people that hate your for the wrong reasons, because they don't really understand the real situation? If you REALLY studied and understood the situation: that Israel is defending their just survival against terrorists bent not on their own rights, but on their blind hatred, you would have very different thoughts.
13. :: Lara - #2 - Sarah BS
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.24.10)
- Sarah BS. Lara as you probably know Sarah BS has been proven to be a fraud who makes up lies and omits common facts. Here she claims that ‘burning tires, throwing stones and stabbing people’ are all ‘Palestinian things’ as if Israeli are lilywhite and haven’t committed the exact same types of violence. It is always important to expose her lies lest other Ynuts (not you of course) actually believe her rubbish. For example: “Five officers were injured from *cinder blocks* thrown at them by the haredim, who also lit garbage bins on fire and blocked main traffic arteries”. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3906300,00.html “Hundreds of haredim hurl stones at vehicles and buses, burn tires”. www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3894288,00.html ‘A haredi resident of Jerusalem, used an 18-centimeter knife to stab three people’ www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3273891,00.html These are just 3 examples, naturally there are many more as you well know.
14. to #8 more like enslave the Israeli market
ghostq   (06.24.10)
and I checked, USA can stop funding if Israel won't obay like it did manytimes, as for injured amerikan, let me explain in terms you will understand if I will go to USA to demonstrate against the USA gov for not dealing at all in the oil at the gulf of mexico, and Amerikan police officer will try to arrest me, would you than be sypathetic if I get unjust arrest even though I got ilegaly to the state and started unauthorized demonstration??? I don't think so.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.24.10)
I'm not denying an injured American anything. I am merely pointing out the circumstances of his injury and the fact that he went from living off his well-to-do parents to living off the largesse of the American taxpayer. He engaged in criminal activity. As a result of that activity, he sustained brain injury. In recovering from that injury, he lived off the largesse of the Israeli taxpayer since March of 2009. Tristan Anderson is a professional deadbeat, masking as a "humanitarian." He may have fooled you (obviously, he has) but most of us see him for what he really is. And don't even try that argument about USA taxpayers paying billions of dollars to Israel over the years. The United States has more than reaped the benefit. What benefit are you accruing from the $200 billion in aid that has been paid to the Palestine Authority since 1989? Oh, wait! I know! We got to watch the joyful celebrations of the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza following the events of September 11. While Jews queued for hours in Israel to donate blood. You are a fool.
17. investigation
colin   (06.24.10)
The atterneys file an appeal to reopen the file of a criminal getting hit (unfortunately not killed) in illegal protesting in Israel Let the same attorneys pay for the investigation. Let this be a show case that Israel is a law abiding country and illegal troublemakers will bare the outcome of any actions taken stopping thier attivities while going against peace. The police do not need to waste time on this swine.
18. If hurt in Pro-Israel rally somewhere else, any different?
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (06.24.10)
A lot of hate here. Not all Muslims are terrorist or all Jews saints but all start out the same as babies and learn from there. Getting hit in the head with a tear gas canister is rare and most likely the police officer was not trained properly in how to use it safely.

Where is the lie ? "Five officers were injured from cinder blocks thrown at them by the Haredim who also lot garbage bins on fire & blocked main arteries." This is written in the article.
20. Sue McGraw #8
Manic Drummer ,   Madison, USA   (06.24.10)
Tristan Anderson intentionally provoked IDF troops into attacking. He had no right to do that. He got what he deserved. If you don't like the fact that other countries defend themselves, then stay home!
21. Re-exemin 200 US Marine KILLED BY ISRAEL in US Liberty
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (06.24.10)
It is know and disclosed by Israeli zionisits paid talkatives that US Marine killed in Liberty Vessel was not by Mistake but purposefully as Israel suspected this Liberty Vessel was spying on Israel and passing info to Arabs.

34 Navy personnel were killed. 174 were injured; none succumbed to their injuries. Typhoon Tayfun, redux.
23. ISM volunteer
israeli ,   israel   (06.24.10)
Mr. Anderson was an IMS volunteer as per the claim on the ISM site. According to the ISM's website, "International volunteers who join the ISM are responsible for paying their own way and covering all their expenses in Palestine. The ISM does not receive any funding from any state, government or association. We rely on donations from average people all over the world that support peace and the Palestinian struggle for freedom."[1] Case closed. Let the ISM pick up his tab.
