1. IRAN IS VERY MUCH AFRAID OF ISRAEL
stude ham   (06.24.10)
otherwise this rusting scow barge would have already left for the murky waters of gaza.
2. What's the point of this ?
Vadim ,   Ariel, Israel   (06.24.10)
Goods are coming in already, as they have before - but now the whole world sees this, not to mention that the Palestinians in Gaza themselves said that there's no shortage of "food" in Gaza, only industrial materials, which hardly warrants a myriad of flotillas with toys and wheel chairs and whatnot. There's absolutely no reason to set sail to Gaza other than to create a provocation, which is done by using (read: ABUSING) the situation of the people in Gaza. So the only harm done here is by the flotillas.
3. iranian cowards

4. I smell fear in the air
Johnny ,   Nazareth   (06.24.10)
Dogs that bark don't bite! Iranians will shout forever but they don't have the guts to act.... Cowards
5. I wanted to to see the Iranian Red Crescent submarine
zionist forever   (06.24.10)
The Iranian ships are supposed to be carrying members of the Revolutionry Gaurd. Any ship carrying soldiers no matter how much aid they are carrying is considered a military vessel and trying to breach the blockade would be considered an act of war so we could sink the thing. Come on Iran send your soldiers it will be fun to watch Iran test its latest submarine and the soldiers swimming to Gaza as a gesture of solidarity.
6. From the Caspian Sea?
Victor ,   usa   (06.24.10)
How they will be able to sail from Caspian Sea to Israel?
7. A VEILED THREAT TO EGYPT?
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne,   (06.24.10)
'Sheikh el-Islam, former Iranian ambassador to Syria and currently secretary-general of the international committee for the support of the Palestinian intifada in Iran, said the aid would be sent in other ways, apparently overland or by air.' So what does this mean? The only way that Iran can make deliveries to the Gaza Strip without involving Israel is via Egypt. But just suppose that the Egyptian government doesn't want to be pushed around by the Iran regime and insists on its sovereignty. This should be interesting. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
8. free Gilad Shalit if you want the end of blockade
Daniela   (06.24.10)
free him and end the jihad. be human beings you will see that your life will be very different.

11. # 5
Birdi ,   Israel   (06.24.10)
Little do they know that the waters around Gaza are shark infested !!
12. Well done Israel for telling the UN straight up
rebecca ,   Modiin   (06.24.10)
that vessels from Lebanon and Iran to the Gaza area would be a sign of war and it would act against them. It needed to be said before they arrived here, and it seems to have worked better than I expected.
13. Aid to Gaza
gill ,   Johannesburg   (06.24.10)
It is not a refugee camp. Send your flotillas to Africa. Darfur needs humanitarian aid, following the butchering , maiming, and rape of the women and children by Islamic fundamentalists
14. Caspian Sea?!?!
Mike ,   St. Louis, USA   (06.25.10)
Guys, it's worthwhile to study geography. Caspian Sea is a lake!

16. Great point Victor at #6
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (06.25.10)
Either they've got some some damn good hash or they've invented tele-portation right under our noses. Third option, the Mullahs are praying for a massive flood...that should do it

You bet, and rightly so!
18. To # 6, 14 &16
Dave ,   Bs.Aires-Argentina   (06.25.10)
People, actually, there is an Out-Put (really very long and complicated) from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean, via the Black Sea, trough a Channel from the Volga River to the Don River, but it involves navigation in territorial waters and rivers under Russian control, and Turkish territorial waters between the Black Sea and the Mediterranean.. It seems very, very difficult indeed that Russia will permit the navigation of Iranian ships in her territorial waters and rivers. - I think this trip is totally impossible. :-) Guys, do you agree with me?
19. "We don't want to turn humanitarian aid into political..."
William ,   Israel   (06.25.10)
R-I-G-H-T Which is why despite the blockade being 3 years old already, Iran was sending an aid ship only now and only after Turkey with their IHH terrorist thugs did the same...and at a time when Gaza has more than enough of food, appliances, and even viagra than it really needs. Iran - try sending the aid to someone who really needs it...like most of the countries in Africa.
20. "...from the Caspian sea to Turkey..."
William ,   Israel   (06.25.10)
"...where it will dock and the crew will lift the boat across land then back into the Mediterranean where it will sail to Gaza.."
21. #5 - considered military even with NO IRG on board
William ,   Israel   (06.25.10)
The minute the organizers mention their intent to break a military blockade, they cease being humanitarian OR civilian.
22. #7 - I think the it means Mullahs would appeal to Meretz
William ,   Israel   (06.25.10)
to get goods over land.
23. #15 - as is that of Cuba, Myanmar, and NK?
William ,   Israel   (06.25.10)
Seems precedent supports Israel's case...not to mention that Gaza, through Hamas, declared war on Israel in 2007. You cannot claim Hamas is the democratically elected rulers of Gaza and represents all Gazans, then when the heat turns up claim Hamas acts entirely by themselves and does not represent the people of Gaza.

25. :: I put all my eggs put in the Iranian basket but now....
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.25.10)
they chickened out and disappointed me heavily. I am going to sue them shortly to give back my eggs to find another basket of chicken.
26. I'll confess to being a touch disappointed
Cameron ,   USA   (06.25.10)
Would have been very interesting to watch Israeli boarding parties intersecting with nutty Revolutionary Guardsmen.
27. stupidity
alan ,   texas   (06.25.10)
Persians not as stupid as Turks.
28. sheik
(06.25.10)
are your iranian mullah supporters as dumb and uneducated as you or is it natural for this part of the iranian system to be so uninformed. THE CASPIAN SEA IS A LAKE, MY FRIEND. IT HAS NO SUCH ROUTE TO EGYPT OR GAZA. YOU WILL SAIL FROM THE CASPIAN SEA???? TO WHERE CAN YOU SAIL FROM THIS SEA? MORONS. hameed aboughaze, iranain
29. Lebanese comic boat
Samuel Prime ,   Canada   (06.25.10)
That Lebanese boat looks so comical it can hardly contain any aid or food. Just be easy on it, there are enough flags on it to sink on its own.
30. No. 6 - Geography 101
Andrew M ,   Leeds, UK   (06.25.10)
The Black Sea can be reached from the Caspian via the navigable Don River canal. This is the only way out of the Caspian to the Black Sea (the other canal leads to the Baltic Sea) and then on to Turkey, since Turkey does not border the Caspian Sea.
