It's amazing that people anywhere think this is an issue of race. It's an issue of the right of the individual to choose what is best for their child. This school apparently offers two tracks of learning - and you have to abide by the rules for either one to be accepted. It that not clear? Can someone clarify whether the school was owned by the State? If its a private school owned by the chassidim I agree with them - no one should tell them how to educate their girls. If it is owned by the state they can't make such rulings; they should think of opening a private school for their girls (funded by their community) and educate them according to their philosophies.
