1. Is the Haredi community going crazy again.

2. #1 The rioters are all Arabs.
Aaron   (06.27.10)
When settlers hold up a protest sign they are immediately identified as "right wing fanatics". When Haredi protest, and even when they do not, they are called by worse names. When Arabs riot and injure police, they are characterized as "people" and "persons".

Somebody is getting panicked and censuring my comments! Can you imagine why?
4. 1,000 Police Using Batons and Rubber Bullets
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUsA   (06.27.10)
I live in Southern Calif. Over the years, there have been disturbances, prompting the LAPD and Sheriffs. Most recently, an enthusiastic crowd lost control after the LA Laker victory. Thousands were involved and thousands of law enforcers stopped the illegal gatherings. Cameras allowed subsequent arrests. A taxi was set on fire..and eggs were thrown at police. Lets compare this to the rioting in Israel and the police reaction. By comparison, your (Israeli) police and border guards are timid, passivists, afraid to act decisively. Why was the first demonstration allowed to continue for days? The home issue is not what is prompting the anarchy, its Israels existence. Also, Israel must show equal law enforcement. If the Haredi act similarly, show no mercy, arrest the thugs involved, during or afterwards. Israeli jails should stop being nursery schools and countryclubs. Until Israel wakes up to this (sedition), and insurgency...it will continue to flounder and erode, if not corrode. 1,000 police, using batons, stun guns and rubber bullets should have been utilized from the get go. The reverse..the Arabs would not have any mercy.
5. Those who lecture us about obeying the law
Schreiber   (06.27.10)
will be silent about Arab defiance to the country's laws. In the meantime, even the threat of Arab violence keeps Israeli Jews hostage to their demands. Is this democracy? Is this respect for the law? Is this justice?
6. :: This could all be avoided
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.28.10)
Of course there would be no riots if Israel would stop trying to judaize East Al-Quds. All this could be avoided if Israel would only stop antagonizing the local Palestinian population by trying to steal what is not theirs. I mean come on guys NOBODY recognizes Israel’s claim to sovereignty over East Al-Quds. If ye keep this up a One State solution will be the only viable option.
7. :: Aaron - #2 - Terminology
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.28.10)
Not quite. When the illegal settlers regularly attack Palestinian schoolchildren they are called ‘scum’. When the illegal settlers regularly attack Palestinian villages and destroy houses, farmland, vehicles etc as part of ‘Operation Price Tag’ they are called ‘scumbags’. When the illegal settlers proclaim that they have a ‘god-given’ right to steal Palestinian land and resources they are called ‘delusional racists’. I hope this clarifies matters.

Dan ,   Titusville, FL   (06.28.10)
In Toronto pictures are published of Palestinians rioting and causing destruction. Throughout the entire Islamic world Palestinians are the root cause of violence. Why are we even thinking of giving them a State. Make the West Bank sovereign Israeli land and end this nonsense once and for all.

"Of course there would be no riots if Israel would stop trying to judaize East Al-Quds. . . I mean come on guys NOBODY recognizes Israel’s claim to sovereignty over East Al-Quds." Hey Matty, do you know that "Al-Quds" means "The City"? And do you know what the translation of the full Arabic name of Jerusalem is? "The City of the Jews." In other words, the Muslims don't even have a true Arabic name for Jerusalem--just an allusion to whose city it is.

Allow freedom of speech. Greatest danger to Israel are israstinians or Israbs. Israstinians has a better ring to it though.

Put these punks down and put them down fast. Maybe send those Yasam Forces in black and tell them to pretend these are Jewish settlers who must be evacuated from their homes.

Jerusalem including east Jerusalem has always had a Jewish Majority since 1848, oh yea except during the Jordanian occupation of jerusalem from 1948-1967 when all the Jews were "kicked out" of east Jerusalem, the real settlers are Arabs..
16. Send obumma pictures of Israel's "peace partner."

Sure scumbag. If my granny had b*lls, she'd be my grandaddy. You are the LAST person to give advise to Israel.
18. All of Jerusalem is for the Jews, and we need to stop ...
Ron B. ,   Lod   (06.28.10)
All of Jerusalem is for the Jews, and we need to stop apologizing about this. In 1967 in the Six Day War, Israel became in control of East Jerusalem. They did not use their conquest to deprive the Moslems access to their holy sites in East Jerusalem as the Jordanians had done to the Jews and Christians. The Jews are going back into East Jerusalem where they had been driven out in 1948. If anyone is doing ethnic cleansing, it is the Arabs. It appears to the Israelis, therefore, that Obama and Ban Ki Moon wants to keep East Jerusalem JUDENREIN. More about Jerusalem : http://xrl.us/bhmf79
19. Clean out the shmutz.
Shmuel Ingalut ,   USA,   (06.28.10)
Israel is so complex. Why don't we clean out the shmutz, and get back to worshipping G-d as PER OUR INSTRUCTIONS? Sounds simple to me. It's only when we give credence to the goyim that the picture becomes complex.
20. Reply # 2 Aaron FYI
Avi ,   Israel   (06.28.10)
When Charideem riot they are fenced off, when arabs riot the police use tear gas, and stun granades, When charideem riot they are questioned for a few hours and then let go, when arabs riot they are arrested and never heard of again. you do the math buddy !
21. to #11 that is true the full name is Al Queds al Yahud.
ghostq   (06.28.10)
palis betray Muslim faith for political gain, go look it up. the name jerusalem isn't mention once in the koran only al Aques al Yahud.
22. #6 you are right!
Yitzchak ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (06.28.10)
Of course, at the end of the conflict, there will only be ONE state - from the Jordan River to the Mediteranean Sea AND IT WILL BE A JEWISH STATE. And any non-Jew that wishes to remain WILL SIGN AN OATH OF ALLEGIANCE to the Jewish state. THAT is the only viable option. :)
23. Silly
Dan ,   jerusalem   (07.08.10)
Under international law, the Palestinians have a right to resist the Occupation... by any means necessary. That is justice. A 43 year occupation is not. And if peace is really on the minds of Israelis, then why is the state funding religious extremists (let's get real, that's what the settlers actually are) to move to a Palestinian neighborhood in occupied Palestinian East Jerusalem. Unlike the Palestinians, these Jewish families have the ability to live anywhere else- and they choose Silwan? Give me a break. If someone moved into your neighborhood, with armed private security, threatened your family, your home, etc. you would probably throw a stone or two yourself. The Shabab are heroes. The residents of Baten al-Hawa are heroes. La La ihtilal. History will speak to Israel's war crimes.
