31. Interesting, very interesting

Let's see, 10 Russian spies were just caught in the USA causing major damage to the US. They say that they will get a maximum of 20 years. What is the story. They did much more damage against the US. Something just does not make sense.
32. #23 Is Is You Who Are Wrong
World Citizen ,   the world   (06.29.10)
Israel traded the America secrets to the USSR for the right of Russian Jews to immigrate to Israel. So you can use all the crude ad hominem attacks you want but those are the facts on the ground. Quit sticking your head in the sand. Put it up into the sunshine where the light of day will help you understand why some things happen as they do. It's not anti-semitism all the time. Pollard is in prison for a good reason. He is a convicted criminal.
33. 5 is right!!

Noam ,   Israel   (06.29.10)
Now they can continue the injustice and use your article to show the even Israeli top reporters agree with this Amrican moral crime! Shame of you!
36. Lecture Circuit denied!

Pollard's greatest hinderance to getting release has been the machine created by his market-savvy wife who reshaped him into the fake hero that the rightest cling to. She has been systematic in portraying him as a hero who got an unusual sentence. The TRUTH about Pollard is that he was a lose cannon who had been turned down because he was unstable mentally. Yet he also did have access to incredible amounts of information the Israeli intelligence group wanted and couldn't turn down. Pollard was expendable to them--and yet he is also dangerous because of his lose lips and the very fact that he has allowed others (his wife) to create this folk hero image. Many lies are told a out Pollard--that he passed stuff to help Israel (he actually exposed several huge operations and cost several key agents their lives) but in fact he shopped several countries, including Pakistan until Israel saw how dangerous he really was and stepped in to take the goods as a safety measure. The other lie is that no other person has served so long. Not true. There are a number of people serving life sentences w/o parole for espionage. That their names are not used to manufacture a folk hero personality only means they don't have a wife connected to the rightest Jewish groups in Israel, nothing more. Jonathan Pollard risked it all when he betrayed his country at the time of the crimes he committed. Understand this: He cost the United States several important operations, several lives of important agents, and some relationships. He will never be freed and rightly so. It is one thing when an enemy betrays you and quite another when a betrayal that is deep and long lasting is performed by a friend. The last thing that should happen is that Pollard be released to make headline as he performs a Stransky return to Israel and the lecture circuit.
37. OK, 18: Show me the proof and it better not be from . . .
Stewart ,   U.S.A.   (06.30.10)
a source like Pravda or Al Jezerra without plenty of respected corroboration. Oh, there was a very, very valid reason to damage the U.S.S. Liberty. The Russians were intercepting its intelligence on Israeli troop movement and sending it to the Egyptians,
38. Mea, 36: Very informative, but what source s had Pollard
Stewart ,   U.S.A.   (06.30.10)
... shopping the Pakistanis and others?
39. Pollard
dickmulliken ,   Harpersfield USA   (06.30.10)
The writer has confused traitor, a descriptive term, with treason, which is a crime.
40. #37 - So Israel couldn't notify the USA to that effect?
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (06.30.10)
I've heard other justifications (even the ones I believed) for the attack on the Liberty, but never that one!

I didn't notice that, then I went back and looked. Sure enough. So funny.
