the more stuff like this happens, the more it seems like we are dealing with spoiled children who don't know how to act rationally or intelligently. let the lefties and muslims carry on with their love affair. we don't need/want them.
8. Nothing like a good bullfight to soothe one's conscience
joe   (07.01.10)
Oh yes, spaniards always follow the latest in "social behavior". During Franco's regime in the 30's, open slaughter was the " sensitive situation ". In the 40's, Spain was very sensitive to the influx of gold brought in by the fleeing 'boches' seeking shelter from the GI's, and behaved with great sensitivity. In 2010, modern Spain again showed to the World how to respond to arab blackmail " sensibly' and once more, " adjust to current social situations " Going broke is part of of the EU's spending mode disaster, and Spain is again adjusting to this " social situation " PS: the grapevine; Spain wants to borrow a few 'shekels' from Israel ?
9. Gracias, Espana! I am BUYcotting Rummikub.

The game was first made by Lemada Light Industries Ltd, founded by Hertzano (Israeli game inventer). It is also produced by: * Alga (Sweden) * Crown Andrews (Australia) * Goliath (Benelux) * Grow (Brazil) * Hasbro (France, Spain, Mexico, India, Turkey, Latin America) * Jumbo (Germany, Netherlands) * Mathiassen (Denmark) * Piatnik (Austria, Hungary) * Pressman (USA, Canada) * Ravensburger (Switzerland, Italy) * Tomy (UK) * Babyboom Learning Co Ltd (Hong Kong SAR, China)
12. Make a REAL statement...
Norah ,   LA, USA   (07.01.10)
Ban antibiotics, anesthesia, aspirin, cellphones, computers, ban blood typing, Google...to name a FEW. Ignorant people that have no clue about the Jewish contributions to the world, they pick something that doesn't "hurt" themselves personally and then claim to be making a stand. They are feeding antisemitism just like they did in 1933-banning Jewish stores, etc. "Never forget" seems to have been "forgotten".

15. all of these idiot boycotting nations
Barney ,   USA   (07.01.10)
should have to make an application to Israeli government to be approved before any groundbreaking technology should be allowed to be sold to them or as an alternative the price should be doubled for these countries. the cubes aren't too hard to do without.

19. Had I known my "Italian" porcelain was made in Spain ...
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (07.01.10)
I bought some nice "Italian" porcelain flooring (Marazzi) for my kitchen. Turns out it was made in Spain. I try not to be as petty as the Spanish, but I'll try to avoid their stuff from here on. Those looking at engineered quartz for their countertops, for example, might consider skipping Silestone (Spain) in favor of Caesarstone (Israel). Others have pointed out the many products designed or made in Israel that they wouldn't dream of boycotting. These hate-filled morons think they're making a moral statement by boycotting a marginal product. Don't be a hypocrite. Go ahead and boycott everything invented, developed or made in Israel. I dare you. Boycotting Spain, in contrast, is rather painless. Apropos, I just checked OECD figures for triadic patent families earned (2007 figures). Israel earned twice as many as Spain.
20. #17 - products from Spain? What's that?
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (07.02.10)
21. Please Ynet, don't block this post again ! !
Dave ,   Bs.Aires-Argentina   (07.02.10)
As a Jew educated by my parents and grandparents in a Sephardic environment, I enjoy the Hispanic music, art and language, but sadly, we must remember also the grave damage that the Spaniards have inflicted to our people trough the merciless "Inquisición", by the Bishop Torquemada and the "Reyes Católicos" (Isabel and Fernando) in the 15th century. They performed one of the worst robberies in the History, stealing the money and the properties of our ancestors, and then expulsing from Spain almost all of our people, and burning a lot of them in the "Actos de Fe", if they refuse to convert to Christianity. Sadly, in spite of the boycott against israeli products, it seems that nothing has changed in the last 500 years regarding the Anti-Jewish mentality of the majority of the spanish people. . . -:(
22. RummyKub
Khrumey ,   USA   (07.02.10)
I've never hear of this game but it is availabable at Amazon for $14.99. I bought three. I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right!
23. The fact that the Spaniards allow the Chinese knock off...
Mike Jefferson ,   Washington, D.C.   (07.02.10)
Proves several things. First, they are in violation of copyright infringement. More importantly, it demonstrates how anti-Semitic the Spaniards are; they would allow a game from China - a country devoid of human rights where people are jailed arbitrarily and summarily executed. Meanwhile, they are boycotting games from the only Democracy in the Mid-East, Israel. There's no other explanation.
24. Boycott
SM ,   UK   (07.02.10)
Spain's anti - semitism and hypocrisy is all too obvious. The media, trade unions, the catholic church and other influential sectors within Spanish society keep very quiet about the human rights abuses taking place all over the muslim world, such as in oil rich Saudi Arabia, where torture is endemic. The mega rich Saudi sheiks who own palatial palaces in Spanish resorts and spend hundreds of millions of euros, wouldn't like that sort of publicity would they? And Syria where the prisons are full of 'dissidents' languishing in medieval prisons who, like Gilad Shalit, have no access to the Red Cross. So the conclusion then? Well it's obvious isn't it the Spanish turn a blind eye to human rights abuses when their 'national interest' is at stake and revert to their traditional anti - semitism albeit in it's modern format of a 'liberal left wing' allied to radical islam whose raison d'etre is to demonise Israel. And in spite of all this they like to think they're a progressive country!!
25. a chain of toy stores
cthrusoldier ,   miami beach, USA   (07.02.10)
like a chain of clothing stores in Spain can be owned by one person while still being called a collective. This is due to a union system that was founded as an insecure compromise after the Franco period, and that contains some of the worst injustices of socialism and capitalism combined. It's the kind of system where a vociferous union chairperson can make headlines by shifting the profit margin to a negative balance purely for the scandal of an aggressive populist stance; to be covered in the left-wing press, and onto the world stage. Both the King and the previous liberal-right wing coalition government led by Jose Maria Aznar improved bilateral ties with Israel and acknowledged the grave error of the inquisition, highlighting the need to support the State of Israel as a counterbalance to intelligence and strategic support from completely undemocratic Muslim ruled regimes in the Mediterranean for wanton terrorists.
26. complex and time-consuming
Sir Buyalot ,   ger   (07.02.10)
Am I glad that I don't feel like supporting any of those boycotts, happily enjoying the advatages of those products in my daily live. Just received an imported shirt and waiting for shoes, a keyring pendant and yet more shirts, all direct imports. Next CPU is going to be an Intel, what else? Best of all, it's not even crap that I'd only buy for weird ideological reasons (like Mekka Cola?), but its quality is quite often supreme. I wish to the world a "Happy boycotting", in case you manage to completely boycott any and all of those products. As we all know they are numerous and sometimes they are re-boxed in order to be sold in muslim/arab countries without the "Made in Israel" stamp, which could have a detrimental effect on sales' income. Boycotting ain't easy when they use such camouflaging tricks ;-)
27. Spain is going down...
RR ,   Scotch Plains, NJ   (07.02.10)
in the World Cup and in everything else! It's a third world country and they are hypocrites.
28. Congs
Ammar Kilic ,   turkey   (07.02.10)
I support Spanishs 'cause I am an boycotter too at Israeli products. Continuity of this boycotts can be leave Israel alone in a way, and prove them to think more conscientious, maybe.
29. Spanish products
Jerry ,   New York, USA   (07.02.10)
It has been a while since we have purchased any Spanish goods. We no longer buy their cars or computers. We refuse to purchase their cell phones or agricultural equipment. We have decided not to use any of their financial institutions or business establishments. Most important, we have switched from Spanish olive oil to Italian.
