31. Jewish State
Harry ,   Jerusalem   (07.06.10)
All of a sudden it is a Jewish State. How convenience. It is an Israeli State. Void, empty of values. Yes, you people are incredibly stupid, speak for yourself. The State was never interested in education. MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, whatever makes MONEY. So besides Talking, what is your suggestion to fix the problem. I know, "BLAME THE JEWS" (be it Chareidim, National Religious)
32. no money, no hours no education
rosa van der wieken ,   amsterdam netherland   (09.08.10)
I have grand children in school in Amsterdam and in Israel. The dutch ones have an average of 1 hour more school per day than the israeli -ones, and much less holidays. Our children in Israel work daily with their kids to raise their level of education, but children with parents who cannot have a problem and so has the state of Israel very soon. Bad education, means no work, means economic decline and that will make Israel a sitting duck for more trouble as if we dont have enough as it is. Education and safety are the first priority beacuse it si equally important to all. Religion is important, but you pay for it yourself as in most countries.
33. Re: #23 The problem is the political system.
Michael ,   Toronto   (03.08.11)
"In Israel the common approach to solving a problem is to do nothing." -Rav Sherlo In university, group projects are the most hated type of assignment since there is no hierarchy and decision making is very tedious. The point of political bodies are to add order to decision making. In Israel they incline towards anarchy. The political system should be changed. I do not believe the problems in decision making are due to some bad nature that Israeli politicians and bureaucrats possess. Essentially, I don't hate the politicians, I hate the political system. However, it would require mass demonstrations to get the Knesset to work on changing the political system.
34. Re: #23 I was going to add that you should be a writer...
Michael ,   Toronto   (03.08.11)
I've gotten used to scrolling down to your comments when reading articles on ynet as I find them very worth reading. Today I finally thought that I'd write that you should be a columnist yourself; perhaps on ynet... Then I searched for your name, Jerusalem and found out the truth: that I've already read one of your books, and probably plenty of articles too! Thanks!
