Ralph Levy ,   USA   (07.06.10)
So it's OK to lie to people who are right of center but not left. So this is democracy, this is your view of justice. Coming from a leftist I should have expected this statement. http://ralphsrant1.blogspot.com

6. Amnon should report on Weather or Sports
Yaakov ,   Jerusalem   (07.06.10)
Amnon is one of the resaon's why Israel has been weakened and he appalauds Israel being a PUSH-OVER. What does he mean when ISrael does "stupid things" then that leader is popular? Sharon became popular, indeed with the extreme radical far left of which Amnon is a part.-not with the majority of Israelis. The unilateral withraws of Lebanon , Gush Katif and even the giving away of the Sinai-Yamit (Begin) have been catastrophic failures with the worst yet to come. The "peace with Egypt is cold and from their perspective is only a "Hudna" (A ceasefire) not a comprehensive long-term peace treaty. Egypt is paid by the USA and given advanced military equipment not to fight ISrael temporarily. Egypt always trains with ISrael as the enemy in their exercises! Even Jordan (It was suggested in Jordan's parliament that they unite both side of the Jordan river recently)-remember when Jordan (which sets on ISrael's land conquered and occupied Judea and Samaria (Israeli's west bank) from 1948-1967?). It is even worse and more obvious to a novice that exiling ISraelis from their land in Gush Katif(Gaza) where there cities were turned into terroist training camps, synagogues descrated and used from newer place from which to launch -thousands of rockets even just in the past couple of years Of course withdrawing unilaterally from the security buffer in southern Lebanon emboldened Hezbollah (Syria, Iran) and they started the second Lebanon war in 2006. Now the next war that the other side is planing will hit iSRAEL very very hard.....Each war for ISrael is existential while not being so for the Arab entities. It is time for ISrael to cease broadcasting weakness! Amnon do a great favor to your co-citizens keep working in television broadcasting-simply just report on items that will not lead to our destruction (as a 5th column) like Sports or Weather- leave the political commentary to sane intelligent people.
7. No need to keep one,s word
Yehudi ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.06.10)
If a politician doesn't have to keep his word, what is the point in voting in elections? Democracy is supposed to be "government by the people for the people."
8. Settlements forced out of Gaza weakened
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (07.06.10)
our defense. Forcing settlers out of Gaza and not insuring subsequent decent housing and communities was a crime ... against the Jewish people by its own government. Besides, this commentator/broadcaster sounds really full of himself ... a jackass.
9. NETANYAHU IS THE BEST
Benjamin ,   singapore   (07.06.10)
10. We must end leftist dominance of Israel's media.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.06.10)
This disgusting article, in which the author lauds disastrous retreats which have cost thousands of Israelis this lives and well being, demonstrates yet again the malignant influence of the leftist media in Israel. We must end the leftist dominance of Israel's media once and for all.
11. Eli Yishai must go
Avi ,   Israel   (07.06.10)
Shas use their political leverage to wrest vast sums of money from the government, i.e. from the pockets of the taxpayers, to support thousands who will not serve their country in the army or any other way, thereby creating hatred among the secular. They bring disrespect upon Judaism - and desecrate God's name - by sending to the Knesset those who end up in jail for flaunting the very laws of the Torah they pretend to represent.
12. Did you read what i read?!
BOB ,   New York   (07.06.10)
"Settler activists these days mock Netanyahu with their “keep your word” campaign. Yet history proves that one does not have to keep one’s word, but rather, must take real action." -Amnon Abramovich These Leftists are just SICK people in every sense of the word. When a "settler" builds a house in Judea and Samaria, or when a soldier disobeys an order do evict a Jew from his home, they are all over themselves how "the Settlers are violating the law! can you believe it?!" But when it has to furthering their mind twisting political views, it is perfectly fine do disobey the law. Case in point: Leftist publications condone and encourage soldiers to refuse to serve in the "occupied territories". Plus the above, where this guy openly writes that it's OK to go back on a clear promise. (and of course thats only in a case where it would support his own political views.) Simply Disgusting.
13. Elect labor and meretz and then take action

16. Sharon became immensely popular....
Janice Cohen ,   ירושלים   (07.06.10)
and within 4 months of "disengagement" he was lying in a hospital bed never to rise again Amnon, you silly little man. I don't think this is lost on Netenyahu.
17. Leftist give the most DISTORTED view of realty!
David   (07.06.10)
Sharon was popular after the Gaza expulsion? Abramovich is an IDIOT and distorter of truth and reality!
18. NO IDEOLOGY!!!!
al mann ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.06.10)
The Prime Minister and the Likud have lost their main aims for their existence. The people who supposedly represent the citizens have shown the farce that exists in the offices and the Knesset. They are afraid of the world. They lack the understanding of their history as a member of a people that has lasted throughout history. This people exist as the greatest empires have fallen. Yet, the supposedly intelligent, lack the ability to internalize the long history of an eternal people.
19. Bibi should get off his duff with Shalit: take action
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (07.06.10)
Bibi should show some leadership and stand up in the White House to declare the following: "As prime minister of Israel and under my authority and responsibility alone, I have ordered the imposition of the same conditions under which Hamas is holding Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. Undery my orders, there is now a total blackout of all contacts with Hamas and Islamic Jihad prisoners currently being held by Israel. This blackout is effective immediately and is total. There will be no visits, no letters, no phone calls, no lawyers meetings, no visits by the Red Cross. Prisoners will be held in their cells. I am aware that this is against international treaties, but I point out that the international community has permitted Hamas to impose these very same conditions. The blackout will be continuous and will only be lifted after the International Red Cross has been allowed to visit Gilad Shalit and ascertain his health and conditions of confinement. At that point we will receive the Red Cross report and react accordingly. This press conference is over. Thank you for your time."
20. #11 and if I agree with you?
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (07.06.10)
Let's say I agree with you, what then? To his credit, Netanyahu cut the child-allowances. On the other hand, you voted Rabin who was the first to give Shas endless power and money . If not Rabin, Shas would be nothing today. Then of course you had Barak who had Shas in the coalition. And best of all was your hero Olmert who Ovadiah Yosef praised as the man who gave Shas more money than anyone before. Tell us what you suggest.
21. Amnon Abramovich
Matt ,   Israel / Tekoa   (07.06.10)
He is what I call, an " Erev Rav " . When the Mashia'h will come, he will kick him out .
22. Bibi should use the visit to declare Hamas prisoner blackout
(07.06.10)
Bibi should show some leadership and stand up in the White House to declare the following: "As prime minister of Israel and under my authority and responsibility alone, I have ordered the imposition of the same conditions under which Hamas is holding Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. Undery my orders, there is now a total blackout of all contacts with Hamas and Islamic Jihad prisoners currently being held by Israel. This blackout is effective immediately and is total. There will be no visits, no letters, no phone calls, no lawyers meetings, no visits by the Red Cross. Prisoners will be held in their cells. I am aware that this is against international treaties, but I point out that the international community has permitted Hamas to impose these very same conditions for four years.. The blackout will be continuous and will only be lifted after the International Red Cross has been allowed to visit Gilad Shalit and ascertain his health and conditions of confinement. At that point we will receive the Red Cross report and react accordingly. This press conference is over. Thank you for your time."

Yisraeli   (07.06.10)
Amazing there are still commentators like this one around. Israels media is so fubarred, so full of themselves know it all types, yet ignorant as a brick. Is it any wonder Israel is in the shit that it is? They still cling to their pathetic leftist fantasy's inspite of the realities blowing up in their collective faces. Makes me wonder why I care about Israel anymore. If they want to commit mass suicide inspite of all the warnings why should I lose sleep over it now that Im no longer there......but I still care, ignorant stupid emu's that most of them are.
