1. Rock on
Mark ,   Jerusalem   (07.07.10)
Boys you brought tears to my eyes not from laughter but from happiness to see our Israeli boys can have a little fun even when in a dangerous situation.
2. We loved it
Duchess   (07.07.10)
Please do not get angry with these lovely young men!! The comments of the young girl, Rama (?) give us all a bit of hope, although, I do not think the dance has any connection whatsoever to showing contempt!! The fact that they add some happiness to the neighborhood is great. yay IDF!
3. amaaaaaaaaaazing !
Salma ,   Palestina   (07.07.10)
"IDF" soldiers have become toys for our children :)) wonder why Barak not join his soldiers in this dancing exercise ?!!
4. So much fuzz because of the nicest thing from IL lately!
John ,   Europe   (07.07.10)
Every day we are bombarded with various propaganda depicting IDF as children killers, continuous war/Shoa/extermination/whatever on the poor and defenseless Palestinians (read: poor sods do not even have a Tomahawk missile) - and when something HUMAN and HILARIOUS and TENSION-BRAKING surfaces, the first is - "Who is to blame!?" And somebody doubts why there is no peace there - of course there will be no peace, for peace you need a GOOD WILL and OPTIMISM on both sides!
5. Cracked me up XD
Omri ,   Israel   (07.07.10)
6. Got to love those moves
Matityahu ,   Slovenia   (07.07.10)
7. getting used to it!!
harry Kasbah ,   Kasbah Rock   (07.07.10)
Little sweet Rima should know that we too are getting used to the PA TV contempt of Jews when we see small babies dressed as suicide bombers - ready to blow their diapers sky high. Does she not sing songs of how she will liberate her Filistine by BLOOD and FIRE-- go back to bed kid and dream on
8. This is Brilliant!!
Aviella ,   Jerusalem   (07.07.10)
Well done, boys!! We enjoyed watching this so much, good to see you can still keep a sense of humor even under such circumstances. Kol Hakavod!!
9. Cool
zznhl   (07.07.10)
10. ROCK the Casbah
EM ,   Ra'anana   (07.07.10)
I loved it too! Everyone should lighten up a little. It might even be catching!
11. Stretching the Truth, maybe?
Brad ,   NYC   (07.07.10)
"We heard a strange noise and ran to the window immediately to see what was going on," Naoul recounts. "We were surprised to see a group of soldiers dancing in different positions in the broad plaza of Jabel Rahma Street. It was around 4:30 am. We were amazed. The soldiers were singing out loud a song we never heard before and dancing with their rifles in their hands." Is this true? Is there that much sunlight at 4.30am there? Also, I get the impression that the music wasn't playing in the streets, but rather edited into the clip later. If not, how come the muezzin's call the prayer is just stopped? And, it doesn't look like the soldiers were singing at all, just dancing. Yet, the quote above seems to think differently. Is this another case of the Palestinians stretching the truth? "At first I laughed, but it's not entertaining at all. It shows their ridicule towards us." No, habibi, it doesn't show them ridiculing you at all. Calm down, you all need to take a collective chill pill.
12. Rima, get over yourself & smile
Russ Harris ,   Tlv   (07.07.10)
Maybe then we can all move on
13. contrived, obviously
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (07.07.10)
This is obviously not spontaneous as suggested, but rehearsed and well prepared most likely by Arabs who would like to embarrass the IDF. Anyone who could suggest that 6 soldiers could spontaneously do a dance that requires co-ordination like that shown is mentally slow.
14. nice video clip..
Rami of Nazareth ,   Israel   (07.07.10)
If anything this clip shows that sholdiers are humans too. It is not easy serving in a volatile place like Hebron (Al-Khalil), where tensions run high. They should be commended and punished.
15. SUUUUUPPPEEEERRRRBBB!
DT ,   TA Israel   (07.07.10)
I loved it and I LOVE THEM ROCKERS ! BRILLIANT ! Adds strength to the IDF and character
16. You make the Zohan proud! Now we disco disco!
Zohan   (07.07.10)
17. Hit on Youtube
Johnny ,   Nazareth   (07.07.10)
one of the best videos of the year! Muslims demand respect but they don't give any. Every time they pray they curse us (chritsians and jews) five times, they pray 5 times a day, so every day the muslims curse us 25 times, and they are outraged about this clip!!
18. I think it's delightful
Susan ,   Tel Aviv   (07.07.10)
I can't see anything wrong with this at all. Of course the Palestinians living in central Hebron would have something to moan about. They just can't see it as a bunch of lively lads having a giggle. My first reaction was ahhhhh they are so cute!!!! then I cried from sheer and utter pride. If we had a gram of PR sense, we wouldn't have taken it off of youtube.
19.  :^)
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.07.10)
if they do get into trouble it should only be for not practicing their choreography a little more. Next time, lets see what the women of the IDF can do.
20. Just a rehearsal..
Milly   (07.07.10)
celebrating the victory against their enemies. ha, ha, ha, ...
21. They didn't do anything wrong - it's ADORABLE!!!
Talula ,   Israel   (07.07.10)
I love to see video clips of our boys doing silly things like that. They ARE young after all, and above all, they are human. Well done boys, Talula plants a virtual kiss on each of your loveable cheeks!
22. Amazing light for 4 - 4'30 am. !
Avraham ,   Jerusalem   (07.07.10)
Keep us SAFE. However you do it.
23. This is my platoon
Palhod 50 ,   Israel   (07.07.10)
This is my platoon that is performing in the video. These are guys who have served a tough three years and second time doing duty in Hebron within those years. This was mean to be a private inside humor to take from our service in the army. We actually are not sure who uploaded the video originally. Now I just want to clarify some things. The Meuzzin call at the beginning that is causing such a fuss with some folks was actually edited in after the footage was shot. Also it was most definitely not shot at 4:30AM. We definitely did not expect the video if uploaded to youtube to become such a viral clip. Also there were security measures in place while it was being filmed, of which I cannot go into detail. We express gratitude to everyone who enjoys the video and gives us support. Please everyone understand that this was just our way of letting off a little steam and enjoying ourselves in a very tough place that takes a heavy toll, both mentally and physically.
24. Israel Proof Of Most Nobel Army
CryMeARiverPals ,   Canada   (07.07.10)
In the WORLD. That was AWSOME and good for you all as this is what should take place always to enlighten the ATMOSPHERE in such a troubled area. Any muslim that thinks that they are ridiculing their exsistance has been Drowned in dispicable totalitary philosophy on evolution and is stuck in this EVILution. What really would of been the ICING ON THE CAKE to help the peace process along would be to see Pals join in and show their desire for peace but all we can see is the desire for Israels destruction. SO SAD that Iran dictates to all these people on how to LIVE
25. IDF dancing to "Soulja Boy"
Jake ,   USA   (07.07.10)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_yJiCbaHbE The setting is better in the "Tik Tok" video, but this is funnier & with better dancing.
26. DANCING!!!!not shooting, not killing, DANCING
MO ,   Israel   (07.07.10)
God bless these wonderful young men, that have found a way to lighten, brighten and show that despite the difficult situations faced by all they can still laugh and dance. Testament to the calibre of person serving in the IDF. I say give them a prize!! They certainly brightened my day. There is no mockery or contempt here for anyone. If anything it was an act of fun and peace, a gesture of goodwill to the surroundings in which they found themselves. More power to PALHOD.
27. #22 exactly!
Golan ,   Modiin   (07.07.10)
Kol hakavod Nahal. We love you
28. hey, better than be wokenup by
ecr   (07.07.10)
those awful ram kolim with the whining recording.
29. the soldiers dancing is big news in the usa, too. rock on!
debra ,   usa   (07.07.10)
30. double standard
ben Ish   (07.07.10)
Complain about the noise from music, ONE TIME for 60 seconds, but the entire country has to listen to the Adhan blasting from loudspeakers 3 times a day, every day, every month, every year.
