2. #1 How about we provide you with the means to do the job?
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (07.07.10)
Let's see if you have it in you. Sitting in your bunker in Germany wont make you a hero.

But what does Amr Mousa and his Arab League think, should be the same one would think ?
4. they key to regional peace is not treaties its in defense
zionist forever   (07.07.10)
Treaties can take 10 years to make and then once the prizes have been handed out broken in 10 days. Politics is unstable especially considering leaders change who may have different ideas about policy. What would happen if Mubarak was replaced by the Muslim Brotherhood, could we count on the treaty with Egypt lasting and not leading to a war? Create a Middle Eastern version of NATO whose motto is an attack against one is an attack against all things will start to look very different. Israel has the military hardware and knowladge play Americas role as the country that leads military matters. If there is need to form a coalition then its done under Israels leadership. As the arabs have such deep pockets let them provide the finances for this organization. IIf Iran or any other country or coalition of countries invades either Israel or an arab state then the others will join forces to help out. Good for Israel Good for the arabs Good for the region Even invite non Middle Eastern countries who could contribute like India or Brazil. That would bring the Middle East closer to other parts of the world and create more stability. War is much better at bringing lasting peace than any treaty could hope to do.
5. Hello?
Mike Diaz ,   San Juan, U.S.A.   (07.07.10)
Can anyone read the name of the country this ambassador represents? The United Arab Emirates. The last time I searched, the UAE is no buddy (friend) of Israel. It's true, the Arab countries needs Israel to do their dirty job and get rid of the Persian menace.
6. Nonsense
sam ,   colorado   (07.07.10)
What is the value and weight of this a small state (UAE) so that US supports Iran strike, saying of Yousef al-Otaiba UAE ambassador these words is it stupid like he said
7. To No.3, interesting question...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (07.07.10)
But the Arabs never ever speak with one voice, and I believe, that nobody can predict exactly the reaction of the Arab world in the case of an Israeli attack on Irans nuke program... When Israel attacked Iraqs Osirak reactor and Syrias illegal nuclear installations, the reaction of the Arabs was only helpless bla bla bla and some phony talk... I think we can expect some of the same nonsense of hypocritical condemnation of Israel, but also a lot of hidden joy to watch the Shia heretics be beaten up... MOST IMPORTANT: What did Saddam Hussein, when HIS reactor was wiped out...??? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING...!!! What will Iran do in the same case...??? Probably NOT MUCH MORE..., because the Iranians are COWARDS to the bone, they know exactly, that in the case of any retaliation against Israel, America wil be FORCED to join in... THIS WOULD BE THEIR END, and they know it...
8. This is exactly right
Joe ,   US   (07.07.10)
Arab countries need israel for their dirty job. We will see how the UAE will condemn Israel if they do that, but will have a party in the palace. Same as happened in 1982 with the reactor in Irak. The terrible point here: Israel is the only one putting the life of its citizens (bacause of an Iran's reaction), and no body cares about it!!!
9. To No. 7: iranians are cowards?? Get real!!
Joshua ,   US   (07.07.10)
I lived and worked(for a Dutch company) in iran for 3 years and I can assure you that there is no such thing as being a coward in their people. Had they been cowards, they would have lost their country to the iraqis a long time ago!!!(unlike Kuwait and saudi arabia) They had the galls to attack US warships in the region during the iran-iraq war. They (to this date) have been taking Americans hostage, under the very nose of the Yanks(now that takes guts). And to this date, they have refused to back off from their nuclear program, even with all the threats of war surrounding it!! Now tell me Chris,do you see cowardice in any of this? Again, there is a difference in what I say,and being supportive of their government. The only point in what I said was to make you realize that they are by no means cowards. To understand a country, you need to understand their mentality first. Something I doubt you have any experience with(at least in regards to iranians).
10. Ambassador Yousef al-Otaiba, whom do you expect to do
leo ,   usa   (07.07.10)
the dirty job for you?
11. #9, Joshua
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (07.07.10)
When I said, the Iranians are cowards to their bones, I ment the ruling mullahs, not the foot soldiers. The mullahs will be very very carefull, not to engage the US in any form of military confrontation.. That's what I ment... this must be the underlying political consideration...
12. 1# you are dreamer
sam ,   colorado   (07.07.10)
Listen to your sister Israel Hillary Clinton Time will not long remain in favor of Israel
13. Go ahead say it! Say it UAE! You want Israel to do the job!!
Yaniv ,   Israel   (07.07.10)
14. UAE ambassador supports Iran strike.
RC ,   USA   (07.07.10)
There is a saying; dogs that bark don’t bite. Are the Arabs so cowardly that they can’t form a coalition to take care of Iran and have to depend on tiny Israel and or the U.S. to take care of their enemies for them? They seem to have no shame, especially if and when Israel decides to take care of the Iranian threat they will then blame Israel. Pathetic people to say the least.
15. Israel can once again play hero...
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (07.07.10)
to the Arab world, like they did in Black September, by striking in late(White) September and forcing Obama on board, right before November elections.
16. #1 = A wise and wonderful man.
Janice Cohen ,   ירושלים   (07.07.10)
17. #16, Janice, thank's a lot again...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (07.07.10)
18. #2 - why not? You considered Hamas heroes in Cast Lead
William ,   Israel   (07.07.10)
and there were hiding the whole time in a hospital basement using patients as their human shield.
19. UAE man in DC....Yousef AlOtaiba.. CLUELESS...
Ali ,   villanova -PA- USA   (07.07.10)
I must say this jr wanna be ambassador is completely clueless in regards to geopolitics of the region ,but being in the company of jane harman and john bolton ,I am not surprised. looks like the neocon freaks are at work again, first of all you can literaly stand in southern iran and fly a kite over UAE ,second of all close to 1/3 of UAE population is either persian or has persian blood running through their veins ,so for this monkey advocating such action basically he is calling for the destruction of his own country (cost-benefit analisys my a**) so standing next to his owners he can bark as loud as he can!
20. UAE is a joke
IRAN#1   (07.08.10)
And Iran can make the joke go away in less than a day even if Israel attacks Iran. That's a funnier joke though :)
