1. support
Michael ,   Haifa   (07.14.10)
I enthusiastically support their right not to be in our hotels
2. Vacation from what exactly?
Avi ,   Israel   (07.14.10)
Seeing as 75% of them dont work in the first place. Oh well i guess they have to spend their social security checks someplace. Still makes a change from the daily activity of rioting. Maybe they could go on courses , advanced rock throwing for example ?
3. vacation
luly ,   israel   (07.14.10)
dear RABBIES we will not let you transform our country in an other Iran style place As long as you do not recognise Israel as our country you do not ask for rights Those" vacationars " in those hotels pays for your well being and let you live here like kings As long as you do not go to army ,=you do not have obligations =do not ask for rights and have a nice day dear rabbie
4. As usual not one mention of true Torah
Josh   (07.14.10)
"holidaying in an atmosphere of intermixture and frivolity" Avraham wasn't afraid of intermixture and remind me again, Moses married a cushite as well as the daughter of a midanite priest, who by the way in some accounts advised Moses (Jethro gave the advice that supposedly Moses accepted and this is the reason Rabbis believe they have power to do what they do - from Moses' intermixing) Rachel Jacobs wife stole a handful of idols from a pagan father that Jaacob lived with and worked for. Certainly mixing is the problem but rather a lack of committment to Torah. That is why Torah is a choice, dear Rabbi. The test is not administered in a vacume.
5. Ridiculous article
Shalom Hartman   (07.14.10)
Look at any hareidi publication - they are FULL of advertisements for hotels, zimmers, camps, resorts, etc. Just because some "off-the-wall, fringe Rabbi" gives his opinion doesn't make it newsworthy.
6. I've never been "good" enough to be
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (07.14.10)
Charedi. I need a spiritual path for "bad boys".
7. Modesty 16th century style
Norman Gellman ,   Rehovot   (07.14.10)
These Rabbis need to reasses the meaning of modesty. What was considered immodest in the 16th century is jut not what is considered immodest in he 21st century. The female gender are full participants in the world along with the males. Men toda arenot so easly turned to sexual thoughts seing femles in modern bathing attire. The rabbis need to get ther thoughts out of the16th century.
8. just more ynet folks
yawning   (07.14.10)
I don't think they are going to print my first tb so here's another ...lol Why are you so frightened of the truth guys and dolls....lol2 your boring rants are allowed in the nine days, is that why?...lol3 have an easy fast ynet ...lol4
9. Haredim should promote such hotels
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (07.14.10)
The reality: The Haredim live on the money made, and spent by others. Therefore, rather than banning these vacations, hotels, and such escapes, the Haredim should endorse them. Further, I am incensed that a faction that lives, parasitically, through the hard work of secular Israeli's feels that they have ANY voice in this is absurd. The Haredim don't work, don't serve in the IDF, YOU have no voice! Period. The secular population works very hard, defends you, and the Haredim live like royalty. You have NO right, NO right at all to make these comments. When the day comes that you pay the price of being an Israeli, say what you will. Hiding behind the Torah, does not imbue you with the right to be a parasite. It certainly does not give you the right to dictate what us hard working people should do!
10. Jealousy?
Talula ,   Israel   (07.14.10)
I'm sure the root of their entire existence is based on a deep-seated jealousy for the way the seculars live their lives. Why do they CARE what goes on in a hotel here, or anywhere in the world? Why should they care if we want to parade around in dental-floss g-string bikinis around the swimming pool? Who are they to say it’s immoral and immodest? Once again, who exactly are they to pass judgment on anyone? We’ve got haredi men sneaking into a university campuses to ogle porn sites, we’ve got them sitting in internet cafes to grab a taste of bigknockers.com, why? Because they are living a life that isn’t consistent with their natural instincts and surroundings – they are forced to live in a way that does not allow them to grow normally. If it bothers them soooooooo much, don’t look at it, don’t talk about it but leave everyone else the hell alone to enjoy their hard earned vacation with their families.
11. Great!!!!
Phoenix ,   Israel   (07.14.10)
Hahaha, anyways what would a Haredi do in a resort. Leave the hotels for normal people who belong to this millenium. Haredis Idea of vacation it's going to tombs of dead rabbis! Oh my they must be having so much fun. Better for us.
12. Haredi & vacations
Fortune ,   Brooklyn NY   (07.14.10)
Why are all you self hating Jews down on the HAREDIM.Just because you do not live their lifestyle gives you no right to slam them. I am a part of the Orthodox/Syrian community here in NY. We go on vacations, resorts, separate swimming (if we choose) and YES we ALL WORK and pay US & Governmnt taxes like you do. Not ALL HAREDIM are what you call (Parasite) eating off the Govermnt. MOST are hard working citizens, sending their children to College like we did but living MODESTY in lifestyle and religion.STOP the HATE of your fellow JEWS.This is the 9 days and it is exactly what the ENEMY wants to see us do.....HATE within is not the answer.Go enjoy your vacation in bikini's and all. That does not mean I send my children there...SHALOM
13. Fanatic fringe group
Naftush ,   Israel   (07.14.10)
The article is quoting a broadsheet that goes up now and then in the Hazon Ish neighborhood of Bnei Brak and similar locations. It carries no more moral authority than the daub of glue that holds it to the bulletin board.
14. let them go stay in Tehran
Avi ,   Israel   (07.14.10)
They will feel at home there.
15. To#10
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (07.14.10)
I'm an old lady and I couldn't tell you why, but your bicknockers.com started my day off right. Although I'm just dying to go there, I better not. If I should croak unexpectedly and my g'kids were to look at my PC, they might get the wrong impression of their grandma and they already think that I'm a bit "different." I just want to thank you for a good laugh.
16. #1, Michael I could not agree more
meg ,   israel   (07.14.10)
and hopefully they will find El Al flights also immoral. Happy vacations everyone!
17. Let them stay home
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (07.14.10)
I don't have a problem with that.
18. To #12, no hate involved
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (07.14.10)
Hello Fortune. No hate is involved, or suggested. I am angry. I am angry when I see young Israeli's placing their lives on the line, and sometimes dying to support this wonderful country. Such a loss, such a tragedy, but still a reality. I see how hard we all work, how much taxes we pay, just to keep this Oasis going. I am then very angry when ANYONE feels that they are better, or for ANY reason don't have to make the same sacrifices. Look at you, Orthodox, work, pay taxes. Bless you and your family.A parasite is a parasite, Orthodox or secular, Sephardi or Ashkenazim. Parasite is a parasite.
19. #15 Sweet lady : )
Talula ,   Israel   (07.14.10)
I hope you live a long long happy life filled with laughter.
20. #12 Exactly, you live in NY
Talula ,   Israel   (07.14.10)
The US government would NEVER allow you to sponge off them with the excuse that you don't have time to work because you study Torah. Only our dumb-ass government allows such disgusting behavior because they don't want to deal with the consequences of denying all the lazy bastard Haredim handouts. They know that seculars will keep on working and coughing up ridiculous amounts of tax to pay for their studies. However, I feel slightly better that you have validated my way of life and that you don’t mind me wearing a bikini on holiday – phew! I feel better now.
21. The streets are not safe either
Mark ,   Jerusalem   (07.14.10)
What about walking in the streets of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, they are just as bad. If you don't want to see woman in low cut tops then you got to walk around with your head down all day but that's dangerous because your walk into something or somebody and its not just the women, the men to and especially the young yeshiva students mostly the Sephardic kind who where their tight black trousers with out much comfort zone and tight white shirts with their pointed fashioned shoes. Internet cafes are full of Haradim and the DVD shops your always find one or two. So if your going to be strict then start at home first.
22. haredi really make me rethink aliyah
courtney ,   philly, usa   (07.14.10)
23. to # 3
(07.14.10)
O yes you'll , look at their birth rate,... ------------ dear RABBIES we will not let you transform our country in an other Iran style place
24. holiness?
Richard   (07.14.10)
ahhhh, the holy people at work again-. This time they are begging not threatening. People should be able to vacation wherever they choose- if they want advice, they will ask. They must not trust their own flock very much to be so afraid of 'immodest' behavior etc.. so little faith??? pityfull!
25. The rabbi just graduated from Iran's Morality Police Academy
David ,   Hartford USA   (07.14.10)
26. Hamas has some 5 stars hotels on the beach
john   (07.14.10)
maybe the rabbis should make a deal there -- no bikinis, no pork, no TV, no low cut dresses , no dancing. Like they, the hamas, you can curse the state of israel to your heart content. One compromise will have to be made; they pray 5 times a day, and you only once, from morning to night -- at least so you claim. You should be very happy, and the govt will be grateful to you for the savings,as it foots the bill, since the cost over there is much lower than the dens off jewish decadence The Israeli hotel conglomerate.
27. Mrs. Hartley from Atlanta: I'm sure
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (07.15.10)
your grandchildren appreciate you as that irreverent, slightly different and loving grandma that I imagine you are. I think most everyone appreciates you on Ynet as well.
28. hotel...not the issue
cindy ,   USA   (07.15.10)
I dont see a problem with the hotels, has to do with personal behavior, trust ,ashkafos etc... if someone wants to do inmoral stuff ,he'll do it no matter the place. the yetzer hara is all over not only in hotel settings... so,to ban access to hotels is wrong . i as an observant jew sometimes go to a hotel 'leitavrer" dont go to a mixed beach ,i do use a swimming pool at an hour that i know is empty...so i dont see no problem whatsoever.
29. The Haredim I saw at hotels in Israel were modestly dressed.
Rivkah   (07.15.10)
What's wrong with that ? And what's wrong with wanting to associate with people who are similar to them? Why should they want their children to dress like vamps and parade around in swim suits that look like underwear or less? Living is a serious business and being modest to please the Lord is a hallmark of the chosen frozen who will be with the Lord eternally. Perhaps the people who want to wear as little as possible are getting ready for a really hot place. Hell is not air conditioned and wearing clothes there would not be pleasant. unlike in Yahweh's kingdom where people wear beautiful white attire. The Messiah wears a white garment with a golden girdle around the paps. His eyes are like flames of fire and His feet are like brass. His hair is white like wool. He wears clothes. Like it or not that is the attire of the heavenly Jerusalem. Those who lack a wedding garment are not allowed to enter in. Naked does not cut it in that sacred realm. Naked is for those cast out.
30. 29 , Great news : Charedim modestly dressed !
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (07.15.10)
that's the first time i read something so "smart" . Her god has blessed her with many "qualities" , even a empty head .
