1. I'm not surprised!
Johnny ,   Nazareth   (07.08.10)
This not the first time that we hear lefty Europeans who support the muslims. As I always said the much greater danger for the world are people like this woman (far left) who support radical muslims and terrorists, because people like her could one day gain power in her country. This woman makes my disgusted
2. This brainless bint is why Britian is going down the toilet
Lee ,   Manchester UK   (07.08.10)
She ought be sacked for praising mass murderer TERRORISTS like fadllalalala. A disgraceful half wit of a woman.
3. eeeewwwwww
(07.08.10)
4. Guy. How many Britons are like her?
carlos ,   San Diego U.S.A.   (07.08.10)
Guy represents the guilty conscience of the British people due to their colonial past. Freud called it reaction formation, when you feel compelled to love that which you hate out of guilt. Lack of national identity and how to defend it is another factor. For the British Antisemitism is OK, but don't touch the terrorists. Indeed the British need a new Churchill or an in depth self analysis.
5. I agree with Frances Guy
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor   (07.08.10)
When I lived and worked in Lebanon in the 1980s I was always impressed by what Sheikh Fadlallah wrote and spoke. He was without doubt one of the most broad minded, intellectual and enlightened spiritual leaders in Lebanon. He was so unlike the image that anti-musllim bigots in the West paint of spiritual leaders of islamic movements like Hezbollah or Hamas. Only the ill informed or those who cannot rise above their prejudice, like the official of Israel's Foreign Ministry would say that Sheikh Fadlallah was 'unworthy' of praise. I find it absolutuly apalling that CNN fired its Middle East editor Octavia Nasr because she said she respected Sheikh Fadlallah, calling him one of the giants of Hezbollah. She spoke the truth and everybody who ever met Sheikh Fadlallah knows she did. This is another scandalous example of the hypocritical tyranny of the mind displayed by what is supposedly a liberal western news organization. Are editors not allowed to have their own opinion?" I stand shoulder to shoulder with ambassador Frances Guy. Sheikh Fadlallah was a truly decent man.!
6. Fadlallah
Ann ,   Winchester uk   (07.08.10)
If you had bothered to read any of his writings you would see that he was a man of spirit and integrity. Don't believe all the propaganda! Ask yourself where it is coming from first!
7. Decency
J.K. ,   BrooklyUSA   (07.08.10)
British indecency, appeacement is in the English genes,
8. WHY DOES THE TRUTH UPSET YOU......#2
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (07.08.10)
If he was a decent person why would this women become suddenly a disgraceful person. What do you know about the late clergy?Zero.
9. Envoy blog
J ,   UK   (07.08.10)
So Saladin was the enemy of the crusades but he is so much admired in the west as a model of knighthood. Israelis should think with their brains rather than their emotions, may be he was enemy of Israel but he was magnanimous.
10. Is this the best that we could come up with
Glen Roberts ,   UK   (07.08.10)
This is the kind of diplomat that gives Britain a bad name, how in heavens name did this jackass even become a diplomat.Don't we have certain standards a anymore. She is better suited to be the janitor.
11. yeah - a great feminist!!!!
Mike ,   USA   (07.08.10)
The sheik was apparently a feminist but looking at him it's a bit hard to tell.
12. 6 Fadlallah and Ann of a thousand lies
S Judah ,   Jerusalem   (07.08.10)
Don't be fooled by all the tributes that are pouring out following the death in Beirut at the weekend of Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, the so-called spiritual leader of the radical Shi'ite Muslim militia Hizbollah. The U.S. State Department's classifaction of Fadlallah as a terrorist was spot on, and when you look back at his track record you can see he was right up there with other infamous terror masterminds, such as Abu Nidal and Carlos the Jackal. One of Fadlallah's last acts before he died was to issue a fatwa authorising the use of suicide bomb attacks. The mystery here is why he waited so long. For as a founder member of Hizbollah - he sat on the organisation's ruling council -Fadlallah gave his personal approval to the massive suicide truck bomb attacks that levelled the American Embassy and Marine compound in Beirut in 1983, killing more than 300 people, including the then CIA station chief. Fadlallah gave his personal blessing to the suicide bombers before they left for their deadly mission. Fadlallah also masterminded the hostage crisis in Lebanon in the mid-1980s. I remember interviewing him at his house in Beirut's southern suburbs in 1985 at the height of Terry Waite's mission to free the Americans then being held by Hizbollah on Iran's orders (Fadlallah was a close friend of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the leader of Iran's Islamic revolution.)
13. Most Israelis praise
Nate ,   USA   (07.08.10)
Ariel Sharon -- which is even worse.
14. #5 and #6 Lawrence of Arabia again
Semper Fi! ,   San Diego, USA   (07.08.10)
I'll tell you where the disgust for people like you comes first, despicable traitors: from the ruins of the Beyrouth barracks where 200 of our Marines were buried in your shithole. It comes from the thousands of Israelis Jews, Druzes and Arabs who had to protect themselves every day from the murderous rockets and terrorist acts of these cockroaches. If you're Brits you are traitors, cowards and should be judged such as... Your soldiers are dying everyday under the IED and bullets provided by those scumbags....You praise him...Shame on you 5th column...
15. Hitler loved dogs and babies too
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (07.08.10)
What can we expect from the British. They gave the world Chamberlain, who in turn gave us WWII. Kissing up to the Arabs is just the long continuation of the Brits looking after their own sore butts. Let us only hope that instead of us Jews being the sacrificial lambs this time, that the Brits can pay for their two faced-ness.
16. To 5 So you also agree with Fadlallah on killing civilians?
The Dude   (07.08.10)
Because Fadlallah had stated throughout his life and I quote: "All of Palestine is a war zone and every Jew who unlawfully occupies a house or land belonging to a Palestinian is a legitimate target. There are no innocent Jews in Palestine." So do you agree with the dissolution of the Jewish state and agree that it is legitimate to kill any Israeli? And do you believe this made him a decent man for these views? So maybe this could be the reason why 'looking up' to Fadlallah got Octavia Nasr fired? And hopefully Frances Guy as well....
17. To 5 So advocating murder is decency?
The Dude   (07.08.10)

18. This cleric said the holocaust numbers are fake
jason ,   haifa israel   (07.08.10)
He is a disgusting and vile.
19. This cleric praised 8 yeshiva students being killed
jason ,   haifa israel   (07.08.10)
Hezbollah was involved in the attack and this sick cleric praised it. Nasrallah says all jews move to isreal so he can wipe them all out and people like erdogan and this diplomat praise these thugs. They want murder of every israeli child.
20. This ambassador was appointed by labour party
jason ,   haifa israel   (07.08.10)
Hopefully the new conservative govt will soon be replacing her.
21. Do you think she was s antisamite? meanigless word!
Amir Hassan ,   Somalia   (07.08.10)
22. Which Fadlallah do you admire, Ben (Alofs)?
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (07.08.10)
Do you admire his liberation theology regarding Muslim women? Do you admire his refusal to accept 9/11 as a legitemate means of challenging the USA? Do you admire his early work in which he announced that terrorism was wrong and not in keeping with Jihad? I am asking because there appears to be another side of Fadlallah which you either refuse to acknowledge or you are simply in agreement with: He was an acknowledged spiritual leader of a terrorist organization, "Hezbollah" and, when he met with foreign correspondents, members of Hezbollah always surrounded him. His one-time bodyguard was the infamous terrorist, Imad Mughniyeh. He advocated the complete obliteration of the State of Israel. At the end of his life, according to columnist Con Coughlin, he advocated terrorist means as a method of challenging enemies of Islam. Perhaps you would turn to Mr. Coughlin's column of 8 July at www.telegraph.co.uk to read what he has to write about Fadlallah "in memorium". As a physician, Ben, one would have thought you'd feel obliged to tell both sides of the story and refute that which, in your estimation, is either untrue or unproved. I have noted that in your occasional posts on Ynet, you never do manage a basic argument and this leads Posters to believe that you are nothing but a high IQ propagandist. Were you to manage your medical practice similarly, your diagnoses would be, at best, problematic and, at worst, false. So, can you respond to my questions or, as usual, disregard these concerns?
23. To 14 To be fair Ben is Dutch!
The Dude   (07.08.10)
http://www.meddygfastar.co.uk/ So the venom against the British is a bit unfair when relating to his commentary... But hey now the Netherlands has Geert Wilders in power, so maybe he is Dutchman in exile...
24. Britain has become the cesspool of anti-Jewish racists,
Charles ,   Cardiff, UK   (07.08.10)
including members of the British civil service. This is only one such example.
25. Thst's no surprise ...As you say the LEFTISTS policy And>.
KATE ,   ISRAEL   (07.08.10)
And i remember well( tho' not connected to Brits) was the adoration by Emile Lahoud of Hizballah/Hassan. It was so funny because it appeared erroneously during the news at Arutz Sheva and the poor newscaster was taken aback at the incident..A bit of a glitch of course, but son remedied. Now about this silly woman.........so called ambassadress. And here comes another one almost glorifying the Islamofascist i.e Ann from Winchester. Not only the so-called ambassadress, but imagine the Bishop of Canterbury quite categorically saying "why not have sharia" ?in brief Britain is no more, they have reached the bottom of the heap. We usually call it: Eurabia,or Londonistan don't we? They seem to forget 7/7 ha? Bad memory wow..................
26. Fedlallah
Josh ,   Kalamazoo, Michigan   (07.08.10)
So CNN and the English venerate and honor Fedlallah? Certainly their own business. Then why shouldn't I honor and venerate Rabbi Kahana, and respect Rabbi Yitzak Shapira? I guess I'm a racist.
27. #5 Ben
Madeleine ,   Israel   (07.08.10)
Wouldn't expect any other sort of comment from you Ben. Alway's ready with an anti-israel remark. Hezbollah is a terrorist organization - so says Europe and the U.S. - so by default it's so-called spiritual leaders (the spirit of terrorism) are terrorist too, or promote terrorism. It's because of the attitude of people like yourself that Britain today is overrun with Moslems shose declared aim is the Islamification of Britain. And if you think differently, if you dismiss the rantings of many of their clerics and leaders as so much drivel, just wait till Sharia law comes to Wales.
28. Londonstan: Britain is Dead: Karmas a Bit@&!
iObserver and News ,   US   (07.08.10)
Britain is in it's final death throws; a stage becoming of all tyranical imperialists. The 'Queen' visited the US this week and wasn't even mentioned in the press and barely got any reception here. So much for the once 'great' empire. England lost itself in liberalism and leftist-labor shananigans. Englands karmic debt was simply too big for the little island. The people who cowardly tried to make peace with Hitler, butchered thousands throughout the world have finally gotten their come-upins. So long England...and not soon enough. Confused, schizophrenic war-mongers.
29.  I'd like to know
sam ,   colorado   (07.08.10)
