1. More drama??
Robyn ,   JHB RSA   (07.09.10)
Bravo aunty Gadafi!! If these "humanitarians" aren't the same trouble makers of the IHH why should Israel harm them?? Arabs seem to love the drama. Maybe one should tell them that there are no oscars for this one....!!
2. This is POLITICS and PROPAGANDA
Israeli 2   (07.09.10)
3. I did not forget Lockerbie Bombing & other Lybian terror
coen   (07.09.10)
4. no real need
Ilana   (07.09.10)
no need for aid but if they want to send it through Israel-hey,less money taken for my taxes to support a community that refuses to support itself and would rather buy and produce deadly weapons.
5. haiti maybe a bit far away
Ilana   (07.09.10)
but Iam sure they are MUCH needier. Closer though to Libya, you have Sudan and other African countries where the children's health is way way below that of Gaza where it is just fine according to all western standards. Perhaps it would be more helpful to send it to Sudan? Less fashionable, less media-catching, but truly helpful in a most humble and holy way.
6. A LYBIAN CHARITY ORG'N??? WHO ARE THEY KIDDING???
stude ham   (07.09.10)
since when does libya do tzedaka? we still remember their 'charitable' Lockerbie donation to the world.
7.  Libyan intention is nothing more than a cheap provocation
.....DACON9   (07.09.10)
BUT IT FOOLS THE WORLD BETTER FOR ISRAEL TO LIST DAILY OR WEEKLY THE AID IT SENDS OVER BETTER FOR ISRAEL TO SHOW PICTURES OF LUXURY AUTOS AND OVERWEIGHT ARABS LIVING ON ISRAEL LAND BETTER FOR ISRAEL TO SHOW THE GENEOLOGY OF ARABS IN ISRAEL COMING FROM SOUTGHERN SYRIA AND EGYPT AND THE BRITISH FORMED FALSE EMPIRE JORDAN. BETTER FOR ISRAEL TO HIRE A GOOD PUBLIC RELATIONS FIRM TO MAKE THE WORLD AWARE OF FACTS. The arrogant high road of the Israelis silence was good in the old days ..TODAY ITS A WORLD OF INSTANT MEDIA NEWS ..INSTANTLY INSTANTLY SO THE PERCEIVED ARROGANCE OF ISRAELI SILENCE ARE DAYS LONG GONE DACON9 EMAIL:jewswithviews@gmail.com
8. Another Acrobatic Team
Edward ,   Philippines   (07.09.10)
The Gaddafy's who for a long time of hybernating, suddenly enters the limelights with a big heart for Gazans but not for lockerbie bombing victims. Go for it Israeli Navy, " Almighty God ", is always on your side.
9. treatign a symptom, not a cure
courtney ,   philly, usa   (07.09.10)
why not address the real cause of their suffering?
10. Questions for the UN
M Carr ,   Baltimore   (07.09.10)
I have some questions about the Muslim/left flotillas heading for Israeli waters: The blockade runners claim that stopping their ships in international waters is illegal. Is it illegal to do so? And why has the UN not offered answers to these questions to enlighten the public? When is a naval blockade justified? Is it legal for a country to knowingly allow ships to leave their ports with the intention to violate a naval blockade? How many countries have declared their intention to dispatch flotillas to Israeli waters? Who are they? What flotillas are headed for Israeli waters now? Is it legal to damage or sink a ship attempting violate a naval blockade? There seems to be confusion on what the rules are in these matters. How often are the rules updated and how is the info distributed? For the most part all I’ve heard is superheated rhetoric, and political jargon, mainly from the Muslim side. The only real evidence I’ve seen appears to vindicate the Israelis. I think the world is waiting for clarity on these questions.
11. go on people, feed the world, not only your set-up poors !!
avi   (07.09.10)
oh, yes, but those represent petro-$ interests, don't they ? meantime, you create new-age poors in gulf of Mexico that will also generate aid, if the whole world could
12. Obama "the blockade is not sustainable"
Yonason Herschlag   (07.09.10)
Documentation cites William Ayers, the head of Free Gaza Movement that sent the recent flotilla, is the key person that propelled Obama's political career. Read the full article at goKoogle.com: http://www.gokoogle.com/newsdetail.php?id=94
13. LIBYAN CHARITY???
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne,   (07.09.10)
This is a bit odd. It's a Libyan charity, but the goods come from Greeks!!!! Oh yes,it's easy to look charitable when you're giving away other people's goods. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
14. :: Libya has common border w. Darfur, why not go there?
Matty Grovesfa ,   Fairport   (07.09.10)
Real starving people by the hundreds of thousands and children with bellies swollen of hunger are in the close proximity of Libya but the racist Arabs would not feed Black Africans.
15. :: If Greek donations, what Libya has to do with it?
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (07.09.10)
Also Greeks are broke, where is the money really coming from? My guess is that it comes from F. Arabia's Mecca.
16. Flotilla
Steven ,   L.A USA   (07.09.10)
Israel should wait at its territorial waters, issue a warning, and when the ship crosses, all its occupants must be immediately arrested and jailed. No other independent State in the world would let hostile invaders disregard their laws with impunity. If Israel wants the outside world to respect it, it must act like a sovereign State.
17. Sugar? Its Kassam fuel, not useful for human nutrition
Dr. L. Brnd ,   San Diego, USA   (07.09.10)
Presumably, granulated sugar is still a banned dual use commodity since it is used by Hamas for reocket fuel and has noi value in human nutrition. So Israel is fully justified in using force to stop the ship, especially since it was commissioned by Libya, at war with Israel, and crewed by Libyans and Syrians, also at war with Israel. Israel should have a policy of confiscating the entire cargo of a truck or ship that tries to smuggle banned items, and permanently banning the "agency" that attempted the contraband smuggle. Before the Gaza war, numerous UN, EU and Jordanian "charities" tried to smuggle Kassam rocket fuel (sugar and/or nitrate fertilizer) in bags mislabeled as something else. These groups should be banned from supplying Gaza with anything. If Gazans want sweets, it can be shipped in as finished candy products, which can not be used as rocket fuel.
18. I WANT TO BE FAIR TO LIBYANS
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne,   (07.09.10)
Despite my previous posting,#13,I really should add that I have met Libyans living in the UK. I generally found them easy going and likeable and personally charitable;very open handed. It's a great pity that such pleasant people have been burdened by the evil of the Gaddafi regime. I'd like to think that this delivery will go peacefully with the ship sailing voluntarily into Ashdod and all the people on-board shown a hospitable good time while they're in Israel. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
19. Lybia aid?
Anna maria Sedda ,   Rome -Italy   (07.09.10)
In italy Geddafy sends illigal immigrants in orrible boats...he has lots of people to aid if he really likes to help..but that is not is intention...he is looking for something else..trubles...
20. What a bunch of phonies!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.09.10)
"Our job is to help anyone who needs it. We don't care if they are Catholics or Muslims or whatever. Now we are helping the people of Gaza who are suffering." Really? How sweet. So, whom else have they helped -- and shouldn't they be focusing their efforts on the African continent, which is their home? I wonder how much aid they have provided the Christians and Animists in the Sudan that are being slaughtered by the Sudanese Moslems. I wonder how much they have done for the beleaguered people of the Congo. It would be nice to learn how they have helped in Sierra Leone and the Ivory Coast. I would truly love to learn what they have done to ease the terrible plight of the people of Somalia. Their so-called "philanthropy" rings somewhat hollow. Actually -- it rings phony to the core. It will be interesting to see what "medicines" and "humanitarian aid" is aboard this vessel. If it's anything like what was aboard the MARI MARMARA -- don't bother coming.
21. Libya has declared war on us
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (07.09.10)
So any Libyan flagged vessel is an enemy ship, which can be sunk on sight - without any warning or reason. We need to exercise international law and teach the stupid Arabs that they do not own the world regardless of their fascist opinions.
22. Sarah B ROCKS!
M Carr ,   Baltimore   (07.09.10)
23. Libyan 'charities' used to send 'humanitarian' aid to IRA
Truth Hertz ,   UK   (07.09.10)
And the British Navy used to stop the ships in international waters!
24. KEEP OUT !
Angus Mc Dundee ,   Lockerbie   (07.09.10)
25. 1.5 Billion muslim should march to Beloved Jerusalem
Abdul Qadeer Khan   (07.09.10)
26. Libyan / Gaza aid
Kevin ,   Las Vegas, America   (07.09.10)
Nothing but a political statement and "cheap provocation" The citizens of Gaza elected Hamas to run the government knowing they want to destroy Israel. Therefore they are responsible for the hardships they face. Israel has every right to defend itself from sworn enemies!!
27. To: Gee at No. 21
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.10.10)
I appreciate your sentiment, but the vessel is flagged in Moldova. It might take a little detective work, but if you can discover the identity of the owning company of the vessel, you might be able to discover where the owning company is organized, and if it is Libya, then you have an argument. You also have an argument if the company bareboat chartering the vessel is a Libyan entity (or even voyage chartering or time chartering it). In either instance, Israel can fire upon the vessel with impunity, as a state of war exists between Libya and Israel, and the Libyan vessel will have violated a lawful and internationally-recognized and acknowledged embargo. You are correct about Libya -- alligator mouth and butterfly ass. Do you remember, following Lockerbie, the U.S,. sent in one squadron of F-16s, gave Qaddafi (Sr.) a little love tap, and that was enough to shut Qaddafi up for 20 glorious years.
28. This is so funny
David ,   USA /ISRAEL /EGYPT   (07.10.10)
all mostly donated from Greek companies and charities, organizers said.LOL Greece is broke.they are depending on the EU to save their worthless economy , but they are giving food away when their own people are destroying their cities. The Greek people should attack this ship and take the food
29. :: #25 How many Jews should march to Medina?
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (07.10.10)
You are not even an Arab so your concern is fake. Arabs consider you an inferior creature and a fool to have converted to their imperialistic ideology of death.
30. Long sail
OLAVI ,   Espoo, Finland   (07.10.10)
The Libyans may have paid to crew of non arabs, so they may be more tightly bounded to the ship. Cowardious arabs woul jump from ship after first shots. Israel should tow the ship on low waters on Egyptian coast and sink it.
