Brennan's claim is simply without foundation. The Department of Homeland Security has dropped the use of phrases "jihad", "Islamist", "Islamofascist", "Islamic extremist", etc. The recent report on the Fort Hood terror attack makes no mention of Islam as a motivation, though Hassan *himself* has admitted to it!
The Pentagon fired their only (non-Musim) consultant on Islamic warfare, at the urging of a high-level (Muslim) officer. Meanwhile, the FBI and CIA are recruiting Arabic linguists among the Muslims of Dearborn.
Brennan is a fool, as he made clear in a speech during which he threw out a little of his very rusty Arabic. He described "jihad" as a legitimate exercise ... in bettering oneself! Know the enemy? Not Brennan.
