Charles Dickens, in Oliver Twist, wrote of a bunch of kids who were trained in the illegal art of pickpocketing.
4. The right to build in the entirety of the Land of Israel ...
Ron B. ,   Lod   (07.14.10)
The right to build in the entirety of the Land of Israel and international law. That Jews have the right to build and live in all areas of their historic homeland It is a pillar of the state, grounded in international law. When government officials don’t apply the law equitably, the authority of the state is undermined. That Israel permits such bias, sanctioned by the Supreme Court, is a national disgrace. 5. #2
CaptAhab ,   Abu Dhabi   (07.14.10)
Yes David, you can steal our land but you can't keep it: It will return to its rightful owners sooner than you think..
6. What happened to true pioneers?
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (07.14.10)
The left of today should feel ashamed at how they abandoned the ideals of their ideological forefathers, who were true pioneers. The likes of Gordon would be impressed at these kids carrying on the tradition of building the Jewish home land of Israel. The empty words of Michael in Haifa, and Yusuf in Wonderland, pale into dust, when compared with the true spirit of love for Israel. How can one compare builders with destroyers? These are the Lovers of Israel and they will inherit the Land! Judea and Shomron have been in Jewish hands since the time of Joshua, and despie the aims of evil destroyers of our people, G-d willing continue to grow with the return of Jews to Israel.
7. Concertrated building is legal under Inter.Law
sam ,   USA   (07.14.10)
Concertrated building is alowed by US-British treaty 1924 in western Palestine(Israel)
8. Lesson from Hamas?
Hana ,   Jerusalem   (07.14.10)
Hamas has also its summer camps. Including sessions of branwashing, lectures of hatred and teaching their own supremacy.
9. Teen outposts to fulility
Dan B ,   Charlotte NC   (07.14.10)
G-d only knows why we need so many pharoahs to convince. ' Let my people go.'
10. Teens build for the future.
Dan B ,   Charlotte, NC   (07.14.10)
Sorry about the last post. I was thinking Hamas connected teens.
11. If only...
Canderra ,   USA   (07.14.10)
If only these young people could attend the Seeds of Peace Camp in Maine, or the MEET Project (Middle East Education Through Technology): http://www.ynet.co.il/english/articles/0,7340,L-3763046,00.html. One can always dream...
12. #8 Hamas has summer camps also
Avi ,   Tel aviv   (07.14.10)
and they breathe oxygen...what is your point?
13. These youngsters are the calibre of leadership Israel needs.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.14.10)
Comparing the courage and faith of these youngsters with the pathetic appeasing, foolish Israeli left is enough to make the strong weep. While Bibi lacks the courage to tell Obama "NO" to the monstrous Two State Final Solution, youngsters are building the very heart of our ancestral Homeland. The youngsters could easily be out at nightclubs but instead they're building our land. Israel should be VERY proud of these youth. They are the calibre of leadership Israel sorely needs.
14. Jews teach kids how to build, Pali's teach kids how to kill
Jake ,   USA   (07.14.10)
15. Palestinans land?
David ,   Kannapolis, USA   (07.15.10)
Why does one start attacking young men that has started building their character at an age of innocents. Like #2 starts condemning the land when the article is about young boys; anyone who can read really knows whose land it belongs too. Go young men of Israel, go!
16. Kol Ha-kavod...
Emet ,   The World   (07.15.10)
...to these young adults for taking the time to stand up for what is rightfully ours. This land does and will always belong to the Jews and these young settlers are strong and brave. We should all be like them.
17. The road to hell....
Eyal ,   Jerusalem   (07.15.10)
is paved with the good intentions of naive, young fanatics like the "hilltop youth." Why don't they help build communities in the Negev and Galilee where Jews are becoming a minority in their own state? Instead they continue this futile, destructive enterprise--which is also OPPOSED by the majority of Israelis-- of building more settlements and making separation from the Palestinians impossible. The only likely result of their master plan is one-state-solution and the end of Israel. It's painful and ironic that the settler youth who claim to love Israel so much are directly contributing to the end of a democratic Jewish state.
18. i.d.f.
a ash ,   newark nj   (07.15.10)
kol hakavod le-tzahal ------ god bless them and keep them strong and hatzlacha
19. building within borders
diana ,   israel   (07.20.10)
I agree with Eyal, there is enough to build in Israel in the Galilee and Negev. We do not need to be like Hamas that indoctrinates their kids on a supremacy that is non existent. Live and let live. the hilltop youth is a bunch of teenagers that are going through the phantasies of idealism, and being pushed into fanatism by their leaders. Shame on the leaders to misuse children
