So much for this pathetic attempt. What's next? A "children's crusade?"
It will meet with the same fate. Don't even bother.

claiming israel "threatened to intercept" is like a cop "threatening" to arrest you if you steal. the blockade must be maintained, israel does not need to threaten when the outcome should be known already. good luck libya ha!

This article demonstrates why the flotilla movement is fizzling out. "We explained to the Israeli authorities that our original destination was Gaza and that we were not there to make provocation," Zwei said. We live in a world of almost instant global communication so I think it’s safe to assume that the Libyans are aware that there is a naval blockade of Gaza ports. For the Libyans to claim that there is no intent to provoke Israel is obviously false, and that is the fatal flaw of the flotilla movement. The whole thing is built on deception.
Here are a few of the deceptions that the civilized world is growing increasingly tired of:
The Gazans are starving.
The flotilla movement has purely humanitarian motives.
The blockade is illegal.
Hamas is not a terrorist organization.
Muslims want peace with Israel.
I could go on but I think I made my point.
When the Muslims push these issues it only drives rational people further away causes them to shut down. I’m sure the “real” peace activists aboard the Mavi Marmara were unaware of IHH plans. They were victims of the deception. I’m also sure the Muslims will find it more difficult to recruit non-Muslim support for their cause. To lose one’s life over deceit and PR stunts is too high a price to pay.

is not governed by appeasement oriented Olmert and Livni (although Barak still remains) and is beginning to show its fangs in a consistent manner, the international community is beginning to respect us once again as shown by the dimishment of the "freedom flotillas" threats. We need to refamiliarize ourselves with the principles of our own partisans who survived in the woods during the Nazi invasion of Europe.

I'd be careful sailing in that region of water. The U.S.S Liberty had large U.S. flags on display and was still attacked from air and sea.

The whole business with this aid ship is very fishy however even more intriguing is the composition of the passengers (not the crew members), Libyans, Syrians, Moroccans, Algerians, and their leader, a Libyan ‘engineer’. Mmm… we know about engineers…This should raise alarm bells, don’t you think? I wonder what else is on the ship.

My great friend Sarah B such international good will and heart.
What’s next a children’s crusade, It will meet the same fate. What would that be? Dead children? The blockade is illegal and a deliberate ploy to starve of the Palestinians who voted for Hamas. The same Hamas that Israel created and funded to fight the PLO, this is called blowback. The solution for Israel would be create a Palestinian state ASAP and leave them to be free. Israel has enough military force to project power and destruction on its neighbours so there shouldn’t be a problem. No more international scandals and it will defang a lot of the M/E hatred towards Israel.

14. From Egypt waters how long would it take to get to Gaza?

Gaza City is like 30km from Egypt waters and beach is next to border.
If they grounded ships on beach would Israel bomb it?

15. another siege is underway
The captain said so, but is actually heading to Gaza. Now, the ship is surrounded by Navy boats, and believe it or not, the ship's engine is out of order. How long can the Navy afford besieging the ship; a week, a month, a year? will they let the Navy to tow the ship? can the ship be towed, in the first place?
