I think my point about the media is that although they're "in the bag for Obama" as we say, they haven't been able to save him from the wrath of voter's remorse. Right now Obama's approval ratings are in free fall. Of course, it's always possible they can be reversed, but I don't think I've ever seen such disenchantment with a politician as I've been seeing with Obama. And, yes, you're correct that Jews make up a very small portion of our populations, but they vote in high numbers and they also contribute substantially to Democratic candidates. And even from my admittedly very limited personal experience, I'm getting the sense that there are a lot of Jews out there...some of whom at one time would have cut off an arm before they'd vote for a Republican, who have become angry and disillusioned. Having said that, I'm gratified that you found my comments on leftist hypocrisy interesting. I think people mis-characterize Avigdor Lieberman. He's hardly a racist since he's as hard on ultra-Orthodox Jews as he is on some segments of the Israeli-Arab community. His issue is more one of loyalty than of race. He's sick and tired of the traitorous behavior of both groups and has suggested that like the United States, Israeli politicians (both Arabs and Jews) should, at the very least, be expected to take a loyalty oath. Not only that, but if black skin is such a problem in Israel, why did they rescue the Ethiopians and bring them to Israel? I know that my country certainly never did anything like that. In fact, we have a different law for Haitian refugees than we do for Cubans, for example, which is supposedly based on the fact that the Haitians are economic refugees as opposed to the Cubans who are political refugees. But as an American, I say bulls--t. The Haitians are black and poor while many of the Cubans are white. Then to your other point, Obama's Muslim middle name is not the issue. Israelis are not that unsophisticated and most of them were willing to embrace him. However, Obama can't use his race as a club with which to beat people over the head with charges of racism because the truth is that many of us wouldn't give a damn if he was purple. The problem is that he's not qualified to be president because of his limited experience...not because of his black skin.
