1. Another embarrassing defeat for Israel
Brian Cohen ,   Judean PeoplesFront   (07.14.10)
This is a terrible PR disaster for Israel, where the Arabs have again defeated our navy, who couldn't catch the ship before it evaded the pursuing Zionists and managed to make it safely to port in Egypt. The goods are being delivered and Israel couldn't stop them. A tremendous victory for the supporters of Palestine, and more egg on its face for the weak, defeated Israeli navy. How're we ever gonna live this one down? Guess we'll have to suck in our guts, puff up our chests, and pretend we won. S'ok. We can handle this defeat like we handled the others before it...

how on earth was this a defeat for israel? the boat did not make it to where it wanted to go.as a matter of fact these pr stunts are probably at the end of the line.they are now useless/
3. To: No. 1
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.14.10)
What pursuit? Israel didn't pursue the vessel. What public relations disaster? Saves Israel some money, actually. Israel will reduce its handouts to Gaza by the precise tonnage of the food and medicines carried aboard the vessel that is now discharging its cargo in El Arish. This is actually a victory for Israel. The passengers aboard the vessel were spoiling for a fight; they didn't get it. The ship docked at El Arish. Quietly. No fanfare. Yesterday's news. What a horrible disappointment for the terrorists abord the ship.
4. Judean you suck at sense of humor
Ziona ,   BaOlam   (07.14.10)
whya are you posting nonsense about Israeli defeat when none has occured? Israel insisted the ship go to Egypt, and it did. thats obeying Israeli orders not defeating them get your thinking hat on Judean Peoplesfront !!!! another shlumiel
5. Embarrassing defeat for Israel? Hardly.
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (07.14.10)
I don't know if "Cohen" (#1) is pulling our leg or is just an idiot. Israel's message throughout this incident was, "Don't mess with us." The captain chose not to mess with them, and Iran has so far decided not to challenge Israel on this front. Note too that goods have long been deliverable through Ashdod. That this one docked in Egypt also makes clear that Gaza has a border with Egypt, not just with Israel. Another win for Israel, as Egypt has long tried to make Gaza Israel's problem.
6. Put a fork in it
M Carr ,   Baltimore   (07.14.10)
"The aims of Amalthea have been achieved without bloodshed and the result is gains for the Palestinians," Sawani added. As hard as I try I can’t resist commenting on the flotilla deception when I see statements like this. What are the gains for the Palestinians Sawani is speaking of? The goods in the cargo hold perhaps? It seems to me the cargo could have been delivered with much less attention and danger if that was really the purpose of the voyage. If Sawani means the plight of the “starving” Gazans has been thrust into the global limelight…well others have already been there and done that. The world gets it. Most rational people realized long ago that the Gazans were never in danger of starving. We understood the flotillas were cheap PR tricks to defeat the naval blockade. But now the page is turning. Over a month has passed since the tragic Mavi Marmara incident and time has allowed red-hot emotions to subside. I am hoping that the Muslim/left understands that there is nothing left to gain from these stunts. People just don’t believe the hype anymore.
7. I wasn't expecting a ruddy Spanish Inquisition!
Brian Cohen ,   Judean PeoplesFront   (07.14.10)
Mr Wentworth just told me to come in here and say that there was trouble with the Ynet talkbacks, that's all - I didn't expect a kind of Spanish Inquisition. Nnnnnnnnnnobdy expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Imam Khomeini.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise....
8. Mr Cohen
M Carr ,   Baltimore   (07.14.10)
Mr Cohen is obviously joking...right?
9. Your sense of humour, Brian, even
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (07.14.10)
evaded the usual unflappable me until Ziona properly identified it as humour. My excuse: Toothache and becoming somewhat too serious wherein Israel and Jews are concerned. This was remediative, Brian. Thanks. Always look forward to your posts.
10. #1: BRIAN COHEN
Israeli 2   (07.15.10)
This is the first time I have heard of the Judean People's Front. My guess is that you mean to torpedo every ship even in international waters that only think about supplying arms to Israel's enemies. Too extremely fanatical - this is not necessary and not Israel's mind set. Just like #3 said. Read her explanation carefully. In other words: Israel won big time!
11. Brian Cohen is smoking
Yossef   (07.15.10)
Don't pay attention. This boat signs the beginning of the end. Finally we will be free to disengage completely from Gaza and solve the question of 1.5 millions arabs. They will be under Egypt rule and international responsibility. If they want to become an independent state they are my guest. Later, a 1-state solution will be possible and reasonable.
12. Re: #1 - It's called sarcasm - look it up
William ,   Israel   (07.15.10)
Hahaha - love it, Brian.
13. #7:
Israeli 2   (07.15.10)
I thought so. There is no Judean Peoples Front and you are just a leftist posting so called rightist views.
14. #7 Give it a rest imposter
(07.15.10)
Libya should have learned from Iran and Lebanon and just stayed home.
15. Hamas : No peace with Israel!
Ron B. ,   Lod   (07.15.10)
The situation as it stands cannot be settled through any form of negotiation, as Hamas has made it clear that under no circumstances will it accept any form of permanent peace agreement, only temporary truces. The world is no longer demanding that Israel negotiate with terrorists, as it had in the past with the PLO. Instead it is demanding that Israel stop interfering with the terrorists. Not because this will bring peace through negotiations, but because they have accepted the national claims of Hamas, a genocidal Islamist terrorist organization. This is obviously an unsustainable and unacceptable demand. As to Israel: http://xrl.us/bhokxw
16. I still insist that Kadaffi's son has a right to have babies
Loretta ,   Judean People'sFront   (07.15.10)
17. It is half and half.
Chemstar ,   Cleveland, USA   (07.15.10)
Brain #1 and Yossef #11, both could be correct. However the overall outcome should be good for the whole world. Brain is correct because of Israeli persistent posture so far - not to let anything in Gaza which it doesn't like, and hence the full blockade. Mubarak is not going to watch what is being unloaded. Therefore the blockade is now not complete. That should be considered a partial defeat. As far Yossef is concerned, detaching Gaza from Israel and making it independent is a victory for Israel or for its well being, which is big enough to ignore the defeat for the arrogance which Israel has adopted so far.
18. Sarcasm? But of course
Brian Cohen ,   Peoples FrontofJudea   (07.15.10)
Brian? Brian - I was terrified of him. Everyone was terrified of Brian. I've seen grown men pull their own heads off rather than see Brian. Even Dinsdale was frightened of Brian. What did Brian do? He used sarcasm. He knew all the tricks: dramatic irony, metaphor, bathos, puns, parody, litotes and satire. By a combination of violence and sarcasm, Brian and the Peoples Front of Judea controlled Jerusalem and the South Judean Hills. In February, though, Dinsdale made a big mistake.
19. Israeli#13 - If you want to join the People's Front of Judea
Brian Cohen ,   Judean PeoplesFront   (07.15.10)
If you wanted to join the P.F.J., you'd have to really hate the Romans. You do? Ok, Israeli#13 - How much? A lot? Right. You're in, Israeli #13. Listen. The only people we hate more than the Romans are the f!ing Judean People's Front. (Those splitters!) And the Judean Popular People's Front.
20. Israel officials are miffed because they couldn't
seadog1946 ,   Shooters Island, NJ   (07.15.10)
